Boff's only ambition ever was to join the dwarven army and go to war against the orc tribes. In the notoriously brutal dwarven training barracks, Boff was infamous... He got up hours earlier than required, did twice the drills, twice the PT exercises, and wore out even the most hardened drill sergeants. On the day of his graduation, the dwarf king declared that for the first time in centuries a peace treaty had been forged with the orcs, leaving Boff with no enemy to fight. Eventually tiring of his relentless training, exercise, practice, and thirst for battle, the army decided to give him a special commission to venture forth, to seek out threats to the kingdom, and to meet them in battle glorious.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Backstory: Voci lived a hard but peaceful life. His tribe lived near the forest of Thornwood. Voci was not born to a notable family but his strong will led him to be noticed by the tribes chief. Voci’s nature affinity with animals led him to be in charge of his tribes beasts of burden. It was not a flashy responsibility but Voci took pride in his work. Voci’s past was neither special or eventful but it was his.
Hello gang, I would like to begin a new campaign set within the Ravenloft setting.
Looking for 5-6 intrepid souls willing to brave the Demiplane of Dread ... and a very, very haunted house.
Characters created for this tale would be restrictedto the 2024 PHB [species, class, background, spells, etc].
1st level characters.3rd level characters
Point buy.
Milestone leveling.
Fixed hit points.
Using encumbrance.
My expected posting rate will be about 3-4 posts per week. [I have since updated this to 2-3 posts per week]
No character sheets should be submitted at this stage please; what I'm looking for is a few sentences describing the character you would like to play.
Looking for 1-2 players to fill out the roster.
You would be joining:
A gnome sorcerer
A dwarf Fighter
The party has just advanced to 3rd level, and the home stretch of the House of Lament.
There's not much mystery left to the adventure as the final act is pretty much "the house wants you dead ... survive/escape if you can."
Hmm. I'd be interested, but I'll have to check upcoming plans.
Will submit a PC if things look good.

wes (he/him) – DM, romantic, a little bit eldritch The Soft in the Storm, your Friendly Neighborhood Storysmith, The Fae Conspirator hello darkness, my old friend you’re all really cool – know that please coming forth to rebehold the stars extended sig here, check it out!
Dhampir Wizard Sangromancer (blood mage). Using the Bloodhollow race and subclass.
He is apprenticed to a greater vampire lord and seeks a way to gain might to free himself from this "master". He has found blood magic and was attempting to increase his power when he became lost in the mist and somehow trapped in the house....
Sinak Stonemoon grew up on the outskirts of Neverwinter, listening to tales and learning how to tell them at a young age. He had a gift of learning to read the room, learning to try and please, and who to avoid. He learned by watching, the shifts in power, who got fed, and who had to scour to earn their dinner.
He was descended from high elves and grew up in the elven district, he was approached by an Acolyte of Erevan Ilesere who taught Sinak the ways of disguising his true nature, of changing his speech or behavior to learn valuable information, a spy within the fold of their faith, who learned secrets about the high born and how these secrets could be used against them.
He learned how to disguise himself, gain access to places that he shouldn’t and eventually, how to use magical means to aid in his efforts. He searches for ways of connecting with his deity, some path that is cloudy to him as of now. He tries to keep his magical nature hidden, sometimes shifting his personality to fit the situation yet his underlying drive and goal remains unwavering.
Who knows, perhaps the adventure will continue after this finishes?

PbP being what it is, I lost two players before the first encounter.
Looking for 1-2 players to fill out the roster.
The party has finished their first encounter in the house and have started a short rest.
You would be joining:
A gnome sorcerer
A halfling ranger
A human bard
A human warlock
I would love to try joining up with the group.
Looking to play a Bugbear Fighter. A simple, socially inept character who has no understanding of coinage but just follows whatever provides the most reliable source of food. Friendly but deadly.
How about a straight-up Dwarf Fighter...

Potentially interested. Are there plans to do things with this group following the conclusion of House of Lament?
Not really, no. Right now I am running the adventure, House of Lament.
