Meanwhile, Sarin watches Tool play his tricks on the Kobold, he silently pulls out a cross bow and and notches in a knockout bolt that should put the Kobold to sleep if it hits the target. He crouches down and crawls up the the plank, setting his arm, Crossbow target locked onto the Kobold's chest area and closes one eye.
All of a sudden, the kobold freezes and almost drop's its rock. "Curse? Curse! Bad chest! Wait here, Gitte gets your chest" he says, pointing at himself. "Stay, other kobolds may not believe you, kill you before you can show them curse."
The kobold hovers off the ledge and lands on the ground, about 10 feet from you, still watching you cautiously. "Stay here! Gitte be right back!" he says, then starts heading quickly to the western door, mumbling to himself about the curse.
Tool waits until the kobolds out of sight and waits a few more seconds more. Finally, Tool lets out a long sigh of relief. "Whew. Well that went better than expected. Good thing our thieves were simple kobolds, and not common bandits. Otherwise I doubt my little trick would've worked."
Tool takes a sip from their waterskin and then offers it to Stardust on Stone. "So, I guess we wait till the kobolds bring our chest back, huh?"
Taking a sigh of relief, Sairn rises to his feet and puts away his weapons, but keeps the dagger close. Pats Tool on the back. "Nicely done, Kenku. That was a close one."
"Thank you, Tool." Stardust will take a sip of water if he can stay hidden while drinking. "So far so good," he says. "Let's hope it comes back alone." He still has his bow and an arrow ready.
Stardust also glances at the plank that crosses the abyss. He wants to be sure it is in place and that they can all escape if needed.
"Thanks." Tool gives the two a nod before looking for a good place to sit and wait for the kobold. He will then study his spell book till the kobold returns.
Like Tool, Stardust on Stone does not mind waiting. He will keep track of time, however.
If an entire watch passes, he will say, "How far away do you think the kobolds are? Has our little fiend changed his mind somehow?" His stomach rumbles while he speaks.
You wait about Fifteen minutes, and then the door Gitte left through opens. He walks towards you, carrying a chest, which you recognize as the one from the cart. You also notice he is carrying it with ease. Behind him another kobold walks. This one has a large wicker basket strapped to its back and multiples bottles and vials attached to leather straps across its body. When they get about 15 feet away, they stop, then Gitte comes forward slowly.
"A deal is a deal. You give me coin, I give you answers. You give me coin, I give you chest." He puts it down at his feet and backs up a few steps. "Others say not cursed. Others say you tricked Gitte. You take chest and go. Gitte angry. You lied."
The other kobold stands there watching you, it holds a bottle of a bright green liquid in its left hand.
Tool tosses the remainder of their coins(3 gold) to the far right corner of the room. "Your gold, Gitte." When Gitte goes to pick up the gold, Tool will whisper to their companions. "Call me paranoid but I think the chest could be trapped with an explosive. I think we should force one of them to open it."
"Gitte, you know that's our chest, and you know it was full of coins and treasure when you stole it from our wagon," Stardust on Stone says. "We've tried being nice about this. You need to give us our treasure back now." He stares at Gitte while he says this, ignoring the other kobold. His bow and arrow are still close by.
Gitte runs over and picks up the three gold coins in the corner of the room but doesn't say anything.
The other kobold looks at Stardust on Stone. "Your coins now kobold coins. You take chest, we no need it. You leave, or anger Kobolds. Many warriors here."
Gitte watches waiting to see what you do. Both kobolds are on edge, ready for things to go either way.

"We had a deal, kobold." Tool looks at Gitte, contempt filling their voice. "You were to bring our chest andits contents to us, lest you curse yourself and your kind with a painful death." Once again, Tool dramatically shows off the image of the black skull to the kobolds.
"Final warning! Return the rest of the coins and save your kind from a cruel death!" Tool yells out.

Sairn is on guard, tapping his dagger, bouncing a on his feet, the longer this drags on, he knows a fight will be coming.. and at his weakened state, he would rather strike first... His ears wiggle as he speaks up, finally. Towards the more mature Kobold "We had a chest stolen from us, you are still threatening and holding a strange liquid. If you want us to leave, back off or we'll have no problem clipping your wings" The muscles in the elf go taut, holding a an intimidating posture.

When the Kenku confronts him, Gitte flinches a bit when it sees the black skull. "Never said contents, just said chest. That deal!" Gitte responds, giving a quick glance towards the other kobold.
Stardust on Stone believes that the kobolds have no plans on returning the contents of the chest. They believe it is theirs. They are ready for a fight but would prefer to not have one. You also believe that there are other kobolds beyond this room, but perhaps they are exaggerating about the 'many warriors' a bit.
As the two kobolds watch you all, their eyes keep moving to the 'tap tap tap' of Sairn's finger on his dagger. At his words, the kobold holding the liquid smiles, understanding that you recognize it as a threat, though at the same time, they both back up a step or two as the elf speaks his warning, both hissing.
"Take chest. Go!" the one holding the liquid says. He looks at the chest, then at Sairn, "last warning" it says, and smiles.
OOC: Nicely rolled! Stardust thinks, "Wait, what? The chest is cursed! No, no. That's the trick Tool is playing . . . I think."
