Lady Alustriel watches the interaction between Passoveloce with a smile before saying “I’m afraid that Tasha has another task for Paul that means he will no longer continue with you! I do however an old companion in mind who will bring a much needed set of skills to your group. However, I do not have a replacement for Toruun. Should you have a companion in mind I can certainly facilitate them joining up with you! as to equipment, what were you specifically looking for?”
"Well M'Lady," says Passoveloce, "I discovered that Webs were particularly difficult for me to extricate myself from. Perhaps there is something that could help me to avoid being caught in webs, or able to quickly free myself if caught in them. Recovering the next part of the rod is likely to be a different challenge, but just in case I run into them again, it would be good to have a solution. Do you have anything that may help?"

"Hmn. So, somethin' that'a be like that one spell, uhh, whatmacallit... Freedom somethin' -- I-I know there's like a 'ring of fre' somethin' out there that might sorta work fer ya, Passoveloce, if'n they have it... Though, ehhh... its a bit on the rare side from what I've heard, and same pretty much goes for this like cloak that s'pose to do somethin 'bout webs too."Lucas mentions. "Uhh, fer me my leanings is towards more so maybe getting a portable hole, if'n ya have any? Or maybe a bag of holding, as either aughta make it a bit easier to sneak things out in some cases."He then looks over to Corwyn. "What 'bout you, budenski? A nice lil somethin' that can help ya fly would do ya wonders I bet!"

Passoveloce elaborates: "M'Lady, I am not exactly sure what I need to be able to move freely in webs. There is a very rare item called a Cloak of Arachnida, which would be perfect. If that is not possible, then perhaps items that give freedom of movement may work, though you may know this better than I. Such items could be a ring of free action, and there may be other items that have this ability. In the absence of such items, at a pinch a few vials of oil of slipperiness could do, though a 10 min delay in action could be an issue. If freedom of movement won't work, then the only item I know of is the aforementioned cloak. Do you know of other possibilities?"

"That would be good," says Passoveloce, "it will give us time to clean ourselves up a bit, recover our energy for the next exercise then replenish and maintain our equipment. I will take my leave M'Lady, and return in the evening."
Passoveloce gathers his equipment, then after a brief pause says: "Ummm, how do I get to where I need to go, and how do I get back?"

"Mn. Fair enough,"added Lucas alongside a nonchalant shrug. As everything he'd owned never left his person, he'd immediately began looking about the immediate area for a corner to curl up but held back on doing so as Passoveloce spoke his question. With a chuckle to his voice initially, Lucas says, "He raises a good point. Be pretty awkward if'n we wandered are way to somewhere we shouldn't. Or might you know of an inn you'd suggest we avail ourselves of nearby?"

“There is a bedroom just through there…” [pointing to a door] “…and please feel free to wander into the kitchen if you are hungry where Polly will happily look after you!” Lady Alustriel says
Passoveloce willingly accepts the offer and proceeds through to the kitchen to see what Polly has on offer. After eating his fill he passes through to the bedroom, checks and maintains his equipment, then climbs into a suitable bed and taking his usual precautions, goes to sleep.

With a "Much obliged, mam,"and the tipping of a nonexistent hat, Lucas stops into the kitchen, as the mission left him a fair bit famished to say the least. Afterwards, he heads straight to bed, locking his door, if such is possible. If not, he takes every mundane precaution he can think of to at least ward it in such a way as to buy him a few seconds. After which, a few minute more is spent shifting pillows and covers to make a facsimile of himself sleeping in the bed. But as for the sorcerer himself, he'd finally allow himself to "relax" and slip beneath the bed to sleep the rest of the day(evening?) away.

At the appointed time, the three party members – Corwyn, Lucas and Passovelovce – return to the parlour. As the enter the room they notice that on one table are a large samovar, a three tier high tea tower with several different sandwiches, petit fours and other delicacies, as well as several tea sets , (cup, saucer, plate). On another table, they can see a very fine black cloak, a set of well crafted boots, and a somewhat disreputable looking sack. In one corner of the room next to the fire are several armchairs. Sitting in two of them and deep in discussion are the Lady Alustriel and a very old looking tortle. The tortle is dressed in a set of white robes, festooned with silver embroidery and runes. Leaning against the wall next to him is a somewhat plain looking staff.
The Lady looks up as the party members enter and says “please get yourselves something to eat, maker yourselves comfortable and I will introduce you to one of my oldest friends and a esteemed researcher into magic Vah Jo Gyaan Chaahata Hai. I have asked him to accompany you on the next stage of your quest as he has some skills and knowledge I’m sure you will find of use.”Spotting that the party’s eyes had immediately been drawn to the second table, she continues “oh those gifts are for you, but more on that later. Let’s discuss next steps shall we?”
”You are most kind,” responds Corwyn as he helps himself to the formal high tea. Having rested and cleaned himself from the rigors of their last adventure, he looks almost like any other party guest, though his warlike equipment and intense expression mark him as something more.
Once the others are seated with their own food, he asks the new arrival, “Please tell us a bit about yourself, including which portion of your name we should call you if there is not time to use your full name in the heat of battle.”
"I'll say!"Lucas added as he followed Corwyn's example, but snagged a couple of sandwiches before making his way to a seat. As he arrived at the meeting fully expecting to head out almost immediately after, no special care had been taken to appear any more presentable than times prior. That is to say, at least apart from cleaning up any dust and grime from yesterday. But regardless, he looked on with naked curiosity at the Tortle upon taking his seat, but otherwise left Corwyn and Passoveloce to fish out answers.

The tortle places his cup and saucer carefully on the little table in front of him and peers - somewhat shortsightedly - over his bifocals at Corywn and says "... ahbut while it is not wise to make possibly unfounded assumptions, I would surmise from what my lady has informed me that you would be Corwyn Flamedancer and your colleagues are Lucas Dobson Jnr and Passoveloce. I agree with you that Vah Jo Gyaan Chaahata Hai can be a bit of mouthful. Many people often call my Dr Ahbutaveyu, or Dr A, for short. For many years now I have been researching the Weave and how powerful entities such as Gods, Primordial Beings, Powerful Demons and Devils, Liches are able to bend the Weave to their will and whether this bending and twisting may not have unforseen consequences as nature seeks to balance itself!"
Passoveloce, looks at the food and selects a few tasty morsels. He looks around the room at the occupants, acknowledging his companions before fixing his gaze on Dr A.
"Hi," he says, "Passoveloce. I'm not sure what that all means, but hopefully it means you have some skills that will be useful in this endeavour."
He then selects a few more items and sits down to eat before glancing at the table with the other items.
