"Well in that case how about we go with Erhorn leading, followed by me, and then Leon with Kathleen as rear guard?"
Zinphyra looks around to see if everyone agrees or if anyone shows the slightest distaste for that order.
"We can try it for now and see if anyone wants to switch up their position as we go or if they prefer to be closer to the front or back."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Kathleen asks, "Then... what are you doing down here? I figured you were some kind of wizard that blasts people with magic. I've never been able to learn magic myself. All the weird Arcane symbols and stuff makes my head spin."
Leon hmmms for a moment. “Well I was born with some magic in my fingers. Enough for some unshaped blasts and witches tricks in close scrapes, once or twice. But I never learnt my letters till I was a man full grown. Didn’t have the right type of learning to become a wizard.”
”But if it’s just a matter of a few small spells. I’ve figured that much out,” he straightens up. “Aye, I can do that.”
Kathleen slaps Leon in the back and says, "See, if you have magic you don't really need weapons. You can blast people with spells. I have a spare Longbow and arrows but I don't know if you know how to use it."
“If you say I don’t need weapons, then … I don’t need weapons. This magic might be enough.”
Leon says little more as they make their way further into the dungeon. As they walk, small crackles of lightning, then flame, then a deep pressure in the air, then cold frost travel between his hands, his magic building up.
"I also have no great aptitude for magic but was trained in the disciplines of the Order of the Red Branch. They're a sect of wood elf monks that can fight with weapons or without."
Checking several of their daggers just to make sure they are handy and ready if needed Zinphyra will also add, "I think we compliment each other's shortcomings rather well. Some of us can attack with weapons from a distance, others up close and personal, and there are even those among us who can practice magic."
As the group moves toward the area on the map marked as 'Striethenel.'
"I really like our chances."

As you follow the path straight to the Shriethenel, I would like you to all make perception or history checks. (Kathleen, you may roll at advantage, as you traced that map)
For those who roll 14 or above:
Quickly, as you get further from the entrance, more and more side paths that weren't on the map in the first room start popping up.

With a look half way between puzzlement and consternation Zinphyra offers, "Just how old is the map we have to not have included in it all these side passages?"
"I hope what we do have is at least accurate."

As you trudge along the marked path, alone in the silence of the dungeon, the monotony of the routine closes in. You have some idle chatter, but not much else fills your minds.
Eventually, the dungeon opens up. The narrow passage becomes a cavern, stretching out before you. Stony ruins dot what might once have been vibrant streets. Ahead of you, a lone building, clearly within view, has a flickering, warm light dance in its window. It isn't the only strange thing here, though. Pasageways, much like the one you've so recently been in, are blocked off, with (at this distance) illegible writing scrawled on a few.

Kathleen says, "I don't mind being at the back or the middle. I'm can handle melee combat but I'm much better at shooting things from far away."

"Works for me!" Kathleen says. She points her crossbow at the stairs on the north and says, "To Sethretell" (Mispronounced it again)
Leon nods, soberly. When Kathleen and he take rear guard, he speaks to her. “I am… I am not much of—“
”I am not a strong man, I am not skilled in martial things,” he says. “I have always favoured discussion and argument.”
The silence holds for a second. “I am not well equipped to dungeon delving and I am afraid,” he whispers.
Kathleen asks, "Then... what are you doing down here? I figured you were some kind of wizard that blasts people with magic. I've never been able to learn magic myself. All the weird Arcane symbols and stuff makes my head spin."

Passive perception 14
also post 47 I also copied the map (rolled 14 with adv)
Zinphyra's Perception: 16
Kathleen is kinda smooth-brained so...
History check with Adv: 15
Leon whispers to Kathleen as he notices the tunnels. “We keep straight yes?”
Kathleen says, "Seems like a good idea." She does however, make note of how many branching pathways they passed and commits it to her own crude map.
noticing that kathleen is mapping - I say " thank you. when we rest we can try to update my map so we have a 2nd one for the party".
At each new sighting of a tunnel, or opening Erhorn will recast blade ward.

“How old or how honest,” mutters Leon suspiciously.
