Galdr detects magical energy coming from the crystal. Turning it over in his hands he sees that it looks like it was made to look through one end and see through the other.
**So I made this change in my other Tomb of Horrors campaign, I think I'll do it here too. Because this is just a dungeon crawl and not a full campaign, it doesn't make sense for you guys to take very many short or long rests inside the dungeon. But since there are magic items strewn about its hard for you guys to attune to them. So I have said that this whole structure has a latent magical energy that sort or permeates the walls and through each of you. And you find that spending time attuning to a magic item is cut down from an hour to just a few minutes.**
So if anyone wants to attune to this item they can do so and ill tell you what it is.
Galdr peers through the gem and although he doesn't see anything of note in this room he knows that his vision is augmented while looking through the crystal. It is a Gem of seeing. It has 3 charges remaining (attuning with it didn't use a charge.)
Flynt finds that the Grey and Purple one rattle a bit when hit as if they are not connected to the rest of the wall, and they seem wooden instead of plaster. Also the Gold one is an Illusion as well, covering another crawlspace.
Wreckzors finds that the Red one is an illusion covering a third crawlspace.
Wreckzors - its a very nice shiny jewel
Wreckzors will hand the Crystal to Galdr. "Do you know what this is? Is it magical?"
The gnome adjusts his monocle and says, “Let’s see.”
OOC:
Galdr inspects the gem along with Detect Magic (cast ritually).

Wreckzors would turn to Galdr "Why don't you hold on to that, Maybe it will be useful in finding our way through this dungeon."
Dorsar
"Fancy toy, I wonder if it will show you a secret in the orb room?"
Florinn tilts his chin. "It couldn't hurt."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Wreckzors will joke, "maybe it will give you x-ray vision and you can lead us straight to the exit of this mess"
The gnome will focus through the crystal with his non-monocle eye, focusing and learning its nuances.
OOC: Galdr will attempt to attune to the item based on your house rule.

Flynt, give me a Dex saving throw
Galdr turns toward the tortle and offers the gem. “Since you seem bent on inspecting everything, this Gem of Seeing will prove helpful.”
OOC: These are handy. I figured I would give it to our frontrunner as he seems to be doing the majority of the initial investigation checks.
