Wreckzors will motion to Crom to follow and then Proceed to the door. Once he is in front of the door he will stop and hold out his hand keeping them back.
"I think we need to check this door for traps, I have seen enough of this place to know not to trust anything."
Is still trying to figure out the whole loop thing, But seeing Wreckzors going towards the door, he moves to the tortle's back. looking clearly confused.
"The door looks ok to me, anyone else want to take a look? Otherwise if you guys are convinced I will open the doors Wreckzors says looking over his shoulder.
Wreckzors will hold his shield in front of him while trying to make his wide body even wider in order to prevent any trap this door may have from harming the rest of the party.
As soon as Galdr's spectral hand begins to pull the door open it is thrown back quickly as two large gargoyles with 4 arms each burst through the door and begin flittering around the room with their claws ready to strike!
Wreckzors will take a step back as the heavy door slams against his shield. Looking out from behind the shield he will see the two monsters and move forward to attack with his war pick.
ooc: I don't remember how wide the hallway since we never actually entered the room. but if possible I would like to try to make 3 attacks against the closer Gargoyle while also using his Protection fighting style to impose disadvantage on any attacks made against targets other than myself by creatures within 5ft of me.
Crom is not surprised by the sudden appearance of some foes, even if he didn't expect gargoyles made of stone.
As one of them gets closer he tries to pierce him with the pike, but misses (see previous post).
As they are made of stone, the half-orc is quite sure they will be difficult to put down, but he deeply trusts his magical pike, he moves close to Wreckzors becuase he appreciated how he used the shield against the crocodiles and then attacks the gargoyle close to the tortle.
MOVE: move 10ft from Wreckzors's gargoyle and 5ft from Wreckzors
BONUS ACTION: power attack with the rear of the pike: 16 Damage: 18
ACTION: 3 Power attacks:
18 Damage: 20
11 Damage: 22
15 Damage: 20
replacing second atta because of Gladr assistance: 25 Damage: 21, since crit another 16 for a total of 37.
Since I "rolled" 20 , should I add also 7 damages because of my vicious weapon?
The gnome sees the gargoyles burst forth and rush past him to get into the room to attack. He postures himself behind the tortle and other warriors, manipulating the strings of fate subtly to guide Crom’s blade home on an enemy.
The Mage then mutters arcane words and throws a fiery mote at the same creature if it still lives.
OOC: Galdr gives Crom the natural 20 he rolled with Portent for his (if I get to choose, second) attack.
Messed up damage on the first one, it didn't roll so I added the [ to it. not sure why it says manipulated but I don't want to mess with it again so I'll leave it.
** sorry I had a thing written out that sounded better but it won't let me copy/paste on mobile.
Gargoyles fly out. One near Wreckzors, one near crom. Crom swings and misses. Wreckzors takes a few swings at his, hitting twice. Glade shoots a massive firebolt at the same Gargoyle. Dorsar roars in rage and swings at the same Gargoyle twice hitting it once . It's looks rough but still flying
Flynt takes a few swings at the other gargoyle hitting it once. The Gargoyle closest to Wreckzors takes 4 swipes at him, but he manages to dodge 2. He gets hit for 14 and 18 piercing DMG from the claws. The second gargoyle takes 4 swings at Crom hitting him 3 times for 7, 13 and 11 DMG.
Finally Crom takes 3 swings at his Gargoyle and feels the threads of fate guiding his hand for a mighty second blow. His gargoyle looks badly hurt as well but both are still in the air.
Flynt keeps his hand on his sword and stands by Wreckzors and Galdr before, waiting to follow them.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.

OOC: Does the door have any openings in it? Like a keyhole or window?
Galdr - it has a ring pull. And the door in the painting had a window but this one does not.
Dorsar - is Dorsar confused? Or is Eternal Newbie?
The gnome grins at the tortle’s enthusiasm. He says aloud, “Let me get this one, so your claws are ready to catch whatever bolts out.”
Galdr intones a familiar phrase and a spectral hand clutches the ring. He mentally commands it to pull.
OOC: Galdr casts mage hand to open the door.
Ooc: i can guess both eternalnewbie and pro100 are indeed confused, but never mind, at least in my case I am playing the ignorant character well
