You all finish the pleasntries and proceed out of the city. As you travel through the countryside you see many an abandoned or destroyed village, yet not a single body in sight. After a long day of travel you arrive at the town of Livingston. Livingston is a small town, yet it provides a large amount of the food for Nearfeather. A local mage developed a way to extend the life of unseen servants and the community uses them to farm. As the sun sinks below the horizon, bands of militia spread about the fields surrounding the town. You approach the town inn and enter. "Travelers!" the barkeep says. "Been a while since anyone has traveled this road. I suppose you want some rooms?"
“That would be appreciated good sir. Also, do you have a temple nearby that I could go pray at? I’ve heard this town has an undead problem and a few directed prayers could go a long way to protect its inhabitants.”
Ruven puts on a large smile as he greets the barkeep.
“Hello! As my friend mentioned, a room would be wonderful, as would information. We have been tasked by the church with providing aid to Livingston in dealing with the undead. In addition to my friend's questions would you know who we should talk to, valuable information about the area or any rumors useful to our goal? I am especially interested in rumors. I find that gossip holds truths that one can not easily find otherwise.”
"Gossip you say? You've come to the right place. First though, to business! A stay for all of you tonight and a dinner and breakfast would be one gold piece in total."

The barkeep takes the extra gold graciously and gives you each a room key. "You can put your packs upstairs then come down for dinner. Then I'll tell ya what ya need to know."

You would not believe how much ADHD helps with creating campaigns!
Ruven quickly goes to his room. Dropping his backpack and shield at the edge of the bed. He looks at his sword for a few seconds holding it in his hand.
“It might be best if you don't cause too much attention.”
With that his sword becomes a small dagger that he places on his side. Walking back downstairs and finding a place to sit. Waving the barkeep over.
“Would it be possible to get something to drink while I wait for my companions?”
You all set your packs in your rooms and come back down for dinner. A delicious looking turnip stew greets you on the central table. you all take your places and a brief blessing is said to Lathandar. Then the barkeep says "So, what is it you want to know?"
"As I had mentioned we are here on orders from the church to aid Livingston. It would be beneficial for us to know who in town we should talk to about your issues with undead, anything you know about the problems Livingston is having and any rumors you would like to tell."
Ruven listening to Seren was enjoying having allies again. Suddenly Ruven slightly raised his hand to get the barkeep's attention.
“Oh also is there a shop that sells supplies for spell scroll crafting? Being a town known for wonderful development of spells I had hoped to find supplies.”
Revik, quickly finishing his food, asks immediately after Ruven,
"Also, is there any place we may find a blacksmith, enchanter, and general market? Also, is there a powerful magic user in the city? Anyone who might have knowledge and spells that could assist us?"

Kildrak eats, enjoying the meal, as its been a while since he's had real food. He listens to the others talk and ask questions, they sound like a group of new born chick's all asking at the same time.
"The stew is much appreciated."
Kildrak leans back listening to the rest of the room

Ruven takes out 3 gold and hands it to the barkeep.
“Seems like hard times and as you said it has been a while since anyone has traveled this road.”
Seren hands over the gold as requested.
Revik hands over the gold

" Finally a place to rest the head that's not next to the Orc. Does this room come with a meal?"

Gorog fumbles with his coin purse and hands over a similar looking shiny like the others have.

(OOC: 😂 I find that happens a lot.)
Ruven starts to eat as soon as he sits down.
"As I had mentioned we are here on orders from the church to aid Livingston. It would be beneficial for us to know who in town we should talk to about your issues with undead, anything you know about the problems Livingston is having and any rumors you would like to tell."
After the blessing, Seren continues praying to himself for an extra minute before raising his head and joining the conversation.
”Ruven is correct, we require more information on the undead plaguing the lands here. Where are they most frequently seen, what types, what quantity?”
Ruven listening to Seren was enjoying having allies again. Suddenly Ruven slightly raised his hand to get the barkeep's attention.
