"Oh yes, first I think I forgot to introduce myself. I am Ruven, how do you wish me to address you? I would like 50 gold worth of Enchanted Parchment and Magical Ink for spell scroll creation."
The wizard casts a circle of silence on Seren. They then say, "My name is Archmage Igglywiv. Pleased to meet you!" They hold out some parchment and a bottle of ink. "I don't want any gold though. I'd rather have a favor."

I played every class, now playing every sub-class.
You would not believe how much ADHD helps with creating campaigns!
Ruven seems confused for a second. To him this seems more like a way to show off then a way to hide information from someone.
“I feel like there are easier ways to communicate in secret but who am I to question you. I am open to make deals with those more powerful than I. What is this favor you seek?”
“Well whatever your issue is with the church, let it not corrupt your devotion to the higher powers. For us mortals are weak and flawed while they are pure and true.”
Having given his sermon he clicks his heels as well.
Ruven excites the tower and slowly walks towards where the person in charge of the militia is. As the group joins him he will pick up the pace. As Seren catches up with Ruven he will start talking.
“Do you have a connection to the church? I had thought that we were all mercenaries hired by the church. Not that I mind if you are. Also if you wish to know what the wizard asked for I have no qualms telling you."
“He asked for something other than money? I am a servant of Lathander. His will guides me and for the moment, that is to join the church’s militant ranks to eliminate their foes.”
“Do you know much about the Church? Do they also worship Lathander? It seems odd to me that if they worshiped Lathander the people of this town would whisper about the church being behind the undead.”
Ruven waits a second before continuing.
“My hope is that the wizard's goals align with ours. It seems he wishes to study the undead. Hopefully to craft a better way to defend this town against them.”
Ruven attempts to remember information on the church.
“I’ve dedicated my adult years to the church. My own personal observations are that the church is first and foremost against the undead. The fact we are here to deal with them gives credence to this.”

Seren stands off to the side, not needing anything from this man, but offering his guidance as needed.
Ruven begins creating a mental list.

"I want you to recover a sample of undead flesh for me. Your church friend would likely consider that heresy so I excluded him."

Ruven shrugs.
“Are we talking a finger or does the sample need to be larger? I'm fine with getting you the supplies you need as long as I can fit it in my sack."
Seren looks pissed in his silent circle. But as the rest of you don’t look overly bothered, he just waits to see what happens.
Kildrak wonders if he shouts at this wizards circle if he will become silent.
Gorog drools thinking about collecting flesh, then grimaces realizing it's from undead.
"I would like a chunk roughly the size of my hand." they hold up a dainty elven hand.

Ruven gives the elf a nod.
"Okay."
(So sorry for the delay! A lot of things came up.)
Igglywiv replies "Delightful! Here are your things." They then hand over the parchment and ink.

If the wizard has not removed the silence spell Ruven will ask him to end it.
“If you could, please release your magic. Also I assume we can do the same thing with the slippers to get down?”
Walking up to Seren after the spell is gone Ruven will give a gesture to leave and speak a little softer than normal.
“Let us talk as we walk to our next destination. It seems the church is not trusted or well liked in this area.”
The wizard grumbles under his breath as you click the heels back together "The church is liked plenty. That's the problem."

History Roll: 11
Ruven recalls that the church is devoted to Lathander and is the only thing stopping the undead from destroying humanity.
