In front of him in the little red Vardo, a Vistani woman raises her voice in a well known marching song. Someone else picks it up and soon a small group were singing along at the chorus. The horses seemed to pull faster listening to it.
The young blonde priestess would follow along with the others, keeping her keen eyes out for threats. She felt fairly safe though, travelling with the Vistani, many of which were dhampir hunters it seemed, so it was quite possible she could simply relax until they reached the town of Vallaki. She pondered who had commanded the wolves and now she regretted not trying to find out. She had a feeling they would meet that particular pack of wolves again though. The white stag had her curious too and she felt it was a good omen that it chose to travel with them, even if it was only to stay safe from the grey pack.
"Great gracious gods of glorious green glades!" the flabbergasted bard exclaimed in awe. Illmirth, in all his travels, had never been with a group of people he enjoyed more. "Even the Vistani horses seem to enjoy music! I'd swear they picked up pace when the People began to sing. If they're not dancing, they're prancing, and all the better for us!"
Illmirth took a moment to follow the song, finding the beat and cadence that were the heart and soul of the song. In short order he was singing along and wondering what a Vardo would cost. His retirement plans were forming rapidly now, winter home on the southern sword coast and fair season travels with the nomadic Vistani. What more could an elderly drow hope for? At the moment he was in such high spirits he didn't consider that he would be a young elf for hundreds of years.

Shawn talks more to Vaelar and it becomes apparent that he is not Dhampir, just a connoisseur of raw sausage, nor did he mind sharing. Come up the front we us, we ride just ahead of the train in case of trouble. The woman you speak of sounds like a druid, she is new to me, perhaps the rest of the clan in Vallaki know her. We can ask, someone will know of a druid wolf talker.
Come, we shall see whats up ahead waiting for the King Stag.
As she looks into the deep woods she notices trees moving, quite short trees, more of a bush, but they seemed to be withdrawing from the road. However she can't see anyone with them.
The King stag turned as though hearing a voice, waited a moment to say something to Ellis and rode down to the wagon and the rest of the party. He looked Lorelei in the eye, then Alerya. For a moment the two of them wince, a sudden headache then the words Greetings
Crisaryn watches with a touch of concern as both Lorelei and Alerya seemed to wince at the same time just as the white stag approached. Fearing some sort of impending attack, she suddenly became alert, giving a quick scan of the surroundings but focusing on the large stag now as potential foe.
I have never met someone like you, your skin is very beautiful, are you fey friend? He says to Alerya. You search for a unicorn? I have met none here.
He then turns his head to Lorelei, you lost a loved one to the mists. Your mentor is safe, at least the last time we saw him, we gave him a map of the wild woods and the road to the Abbey.
It became obvious that the stag can read your mind as well, at least the surface thoughts. He leans forward for someone to scratch him between his horns
You wonder about the we he spoke of.
In the distance you see the forest end and small crofts appear on the landscape. He would be leaving soon.
"Oh! thank you for speaking to us! " she both blushes and deflates a little when it's made clear that there will be no unicorns, but recovers quickly. "Yes, I am a friend of the fey. Such clever creatures!" she giggles at the compliment.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
The young priestess with the blonde braided hair is about to share her observations of the strange moving bushes as she feels the voice in her head. She is relieved as she realizes it is the white stag and that it has news about her old mentor. She never thought about her mentor as a loved one but he was certainly the only family she had now, although her new companions felt closer by the day. As the white stag steps closer she does scratch him between his horns with her delicate hand, smiling warmly at him. "Thank you, but do you know why he would have gone to that abbey?"She responds in her mind.

Vaelar
"Well met, Shawn," Vaelar says upon the man's introduction. He can only assume Shawn is a fellow dhampir.
"I would be glad to scout with you."
He briefly glances back to where the horned woman had watched them before disappearing.
"She's gone. She had black hair and horns, and green robes. Is she familiar to you?"
