The burning, battered, bruised, half-eviscerated zombie takes one final slam at Casmenons 12 damage 2
Yes, and we are going to handwave its demise after this final attack - you get six attacks to its one, and it would not only be tedious to finish, it would be narratively silly for all of you to stand around it, hacking and chopping, only for it to continue to roll absurdly high saves and keep coming when it has been reduced to little bits.
After the zombie's feeble final attack, you manage to surround it, and, in short order, make sure even it cannot rise again. You stand alone in the room, with an unconscious kobold sentry, the exit which it was guarding to the southeast, and the entrance from which you entered to the northwest.
Marrow walks over to stand near the unconscious kobold, pulls a cloth from his pocket and starts to clean the - not blood, but something icky - off his rapier. I've only ever met one kobold to talk to, and she spoke Common. So who wants to wake our friend here?
Casmenos inspects his wounds, cleaning up as much as he can short of removing his armor. "If no one else is apt at interrogation, then I will make an attempt."
"Tie it up first." Destin advises, wiping the gore off of his twin axes. "Let's make sure our ally to this dread necromancy isn't going anywhere soon unless we say so."
Once bound, Casmenos will wake up the kobold using Healing Hands if necessary to speed up his recovery. Then he will question it, "Look at me. Your best hope for all of this to end well for you is to answer my questions. First, why are you and your kin digging into this crypt? Second, where are all these undead creatures coming from?"
The kobold snickers and answers in common, "my kin? My kin? They are more your kin than mine, tall one. The answer to both your questions is in the next room. Listen closely, and you can hear them preparing a welcome for you."
You strain to listen to the next room, and can make out the telltale sound of swords being drawn from scabbards, though the people doing it are obviously trying to be quiet about it.
"They heard you struggle with the corpses here. I was to warn them more directly, but I failed. They will not be happy with me, either. Let me go, and you will never see or hear of me again."
Casmenos signals the others to take up hidden positions around the passage to the next room. Casmenos drags the Kobold with him to be across the room from the opening and continues his questioning with his back turned so anyone coming from that direction thinks he won't see them. Casmenos makes one final throat slit motion with his hand while pointing towards the other room to get the plan across to the group and puts on a charade of continued questioning, "Don't go and be stupid now, if you want to live through this. If you are not here with your kin, then what are you doing here?"
"Forced, forced am I to stand watch," the sentry grovels in that distinctly kobold way. "Strong men, unearthing the dead. Swords! Magic! I want no part, no part! Just want to go home!”
Marrow is keeping a watchful eye on the passage to the next room, ready to dodge in the event of a surprise attack, and listening to the 'interrogation'.
"It'll be a stand-off until one side engages." Destin informs his companions, keeping his axes primed. "I feel we'll need to spring the trap to progress any further."
Casmenos looks at the Kobold and quietly apologizes, then cuffs him to render him unconscious again. After checking the rope is well tied, he'll walk over to the others, put his hand under his armor and pull it out, smeared in blood. He whispers, "If we are to spring the trap, I am not in the best shape to lead the charge."
"Then allow me." Destin says, taking the front. Once the party is readied to strike, he'll walk through first, taking a dodge action in case of counterattacks.

"Indeed." Looking over his shoulder at his pack, Casmenos turns to the others, "Does anyone have rope?"
Tumal steps forward with a rope. "You may use this one."
Doing his best not to wince as he moves, Casmenos asks, "Would you mind binding it?"
Tumal opens his mouth, hesitates, looks at the rope in his hand, then nods at Cosmenos. The elf binds the kobold.
Once bound, Casmenos will wake up the kobold using Healing Hands if necessary to speed up his recovery. Then he will question it, "Look at me. The noise of preparation in the next room quiets, but nobody emerges.

Not the type to hang in the back, Casmenos follows behind Destin. He will also take the dodge action, should the trap be sprung.
