Skritch sends to the group telepathically, "I'm not 100% rapt with the, er, 'while kobolds remain' caveat. However, it is better than being immediately eaten by this fearful beast...!"
Skritch offers Vakas what help he can on opening the door, holding his tools and so forth.
"Er, Rachus,"he sends, "If you still have any ability to help Vakas in his efforts, an inspiring song or whatnot, now might be a perfect time to inspire him...!"
Thanadol nods gratitude, thank you Grimfang. We are grateful for your aid and eager to help you get rid of the kobolds. He turns to the others, can anything be done about this door? There are kobolds to be rid of
Rachus is very wary of the dragon who at first wanted goblins to feast on and when he seemed willing to aid us, he steps out of the corner and moves purposefully across the room while keeping a healthy distance between himself and Grimfang. He once more plays a few musical notes on his flute giving Vakas another Bardic Inspiration (1d6)
Inward he thinks Please don't let us be eaten this day.
“Vakas, if you could open the door, I can go through it and start hacking at kobolds. I wouldn’t want the fierce and bold Grimfang to have all the fun! Grimfang, I will stay out of your way so you can kill many.”
Vakas steps forward, nodding to Dealuri, then he motions to Skritch to help, just like before. “Ok, remember how we did this? You put this pick right there, and I’ll work on the other tumblers…”. All of a sudden, his mouth is very dry, there is no saliva there, he gulps and it is like a dry desert inside his mouth. His tongue comes out of the corner of his mouth as he focuses on the lock, he is humming a little tune, a piece from Rachus that is stuck in his head as he is able to relax and get the lock pick to move like he wants. “There ya go! Now remember, the deal is that we help each other, we will help you rid this place of the kobolds, take your vengeance, but we are safe, we are not food, we help each other… right? I help you and you help me, that is the way. There ya go. Door should be opened, Grimfang. Have at it, we will help as we can, if you come across any captive of the kobolds named Elvyn, leave them to us, we’ll get them out of here. Here’s to your freedom!” Vakas backs away from the door nervously, watching what the dragon does next.
Sleight of hand with help from Skritch on the lock - plus the bardic inspiration from Rachus : 23 to open the door.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Dealuri runs to the southeast corner staying near the wall so as not to be attacked by the kobolds. Her intent is to get to the human in chains in the northeast corner (#7) to protect him. If she can make it all the way in one turn, she will do so. If not, she will stop in the southeast corner and will target #6 (attack 27, damage 8) and then again with Action Surge (attack 16, damage 8)
Skritch will keep to the south wall as well, aiming to get within 60' of the kobold with the box of jars, etc.
Then he'll use his one use of Catapult to launch the box from that Kobold's hands to smack directly into the larger blue kobold (3d8=16 damageand DEX13 save to avoid - either way iot smashes open at that square - OOC: I think, haven't used Catapult before). Hopefully there's some acid or explosives or whatnot in there?!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dealuri you charge into the room while the Kobolds are distracted with the dragon. You make the shadows of the right hand corner and take aim with two arrows, releasing them toward the magic user in quick succession. Both slam into the creatures torso with a meaty thud and you watch with satisfaction as the magic it was summoning sparks out and the kobold falls to the ground dead.
Skritch you cast your spell to little effect as the crate rattles in the kobolds hands causing it to look down in confusion. OOC: Catapult only works on items not being worn or carried sorry. The attempt will fail but you may keep the spell slot.
Rachus you cast your whispered spell (WIS Save : 19)
(With a 12) The blue kobold clutches its head screaming and runs to hide on the far side of the room. (Dealuri you have advantage on your next roll)
While most of the kobolds are still occupied with the dragon a few of them have now noticed your presence and move to attack. One of them reaches you Dealrui making its : Attack: 16 Damage: 6
The other kobold attacks you Skritch Attack: 20 Damage: 4
Not even noticing the flailing attempt from the kobold nearest him, Skritch thinks, guess it's Fire boltin' time then - Only remembering at the last instant his Wizard's Catapult would have been unable to wrest the crate from the little lizard removalist.
But he doesn't regret hoping it would have worked. Never apologize for dreaming big, his hutchmaster would often say. Usually as he was chewing on his 'corn cud, staring wistfully into the middle-distance...
Instead, Skritch will unloose his fiery blast on Bluey.
Attack: 16+5=21, Dam: 8
Only then does he notice he has his own personal assailant! Not quite as good as a personal assistant, he thinks, but you takes what you can get...
He yells a chittery yell at Sunhill to "Get clear!" So keen for Sunhill's safety is he that he completely forgets in the instant to use telepathy.
Then he kicks himself clear of Sunhill and lands, staying within 5' of the emboldened 'bold. He finishes his turn by using his BA to to fire up his Shillelagh for the next round of 'bat (what Clever Tusks often call combat. Okay... what Skritch often calls combat. But he's pretty confident it will catch on).
Vakas moves due east, clinging to the shadows, and he pulls out his bow. He sets his sights on the blue kobold that appears to be the leader, lining him up for a bow shot. Afterwards, he moves to the dark corner, attempting to hide there and observe what happens next.
Movement : 30 feet to the east
Short bow : (Nat 1) : 7 to hit, misses.
Bonus action : Hide - stealth to hide : 25

Skritch your firebolt slams into the back of the fleeing blue kobold, staggering but not killing it.
Vakas you make your way across the rear wall, losing an arrow as you move. The arrow flies wide but you are able to dive into the shadowed corner before your shot can draw attention.
Thanadol crouches in the entrance with Ember and Sunhill hiding behind his wizardly robes. Raising a hand he sends a trusty firebolt toward the kobold attacking you Skritch Attack: 18 Damage: 8
The Kobold drops to the ground its head a smouldering ruin.
Another of the Kobold slavers (2) breaks from the dragon attack and heads toward you Rachus, throwing a barbed net toward you as it approaches Attack: 10 Damage: 3 (If hit make a DC 14 Strength or Dex save, your choice or become restrained by the net).
The dragon roars in pain as it takes numerous wounds from the kobold onslaught. It lashes out, killing three of the creatures outright.
Seeing the battle going badly the crate carrying kobold throws one of its flasks in the ground and that corner of the room fills with smoke.
Trusting Dealuri to have better luck than he finishing the Big Bluey, Skritch smacks the remaining kobold right by him and Dealuri, Booming Bladeing it if it hits.
Attack: 3+5=8 Dam, if hit: Nvrmnd (plus, if it moves it takes an extra d8: Also nvrmnd)
Vakas raises up to his full height from the darkness, pulls his bowstring taut, and launches an arrow at the blue kobold in the northwest corner. Afterwards, he ducks down out of sight, attempting to hide in the shadows again.
Short bow : 22 to hit, for 6 points of piercing damage, 2 points of sneak attack damage, and 4 points of fire damage. 12 points of damage total.
Stealth to hide again in the darkness : 22

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Rachus you dash forward slicing your blade into the slaver, wounding it deeply before disengaging and dashing back toward Thanadol and the entrance. However, the slaver to attacked follows you on its turn and makes an attack Attack: 13 Damage: 6
Skritch you swipe your Shillelagh toward the kobold but it moves too fast jumping aside to avoid the strike. The nearby slaver (4) then launches its net at you : Attack: 15 Damage: 6 (If hit make a DC 14 Strength or Dex save, your choice or become restrained by the net).
Vakas you launch your arrow across the room in a near perfect shot. The arrow plunged into the back of the blue kobolds head bringing it down.
Dealuri the kobold attacks you Attack: 12 Damage: 4 ... Your move Dealuri!
Skritch takes the 6 points of brutal barbed net damage. He couldn't exactly say he enjoys taking such a big hit - but he has way more important things on his mind than a few scratches and the chunks of flesh and fur they ripped out of his chunky squirrel thighs - like sending a "Stay back,"Message in Sunhill's direction.
In fact, to show Sunhill just how much danger Skritch isn't in, he rolls a Nat 20+1=21 Dex checkto avoid the net: He makes himself as thin as a squirrel can be and, with his hands pointed overhead like he's the head of an acorn-shaped spear, Skritch spots the biggest loop in the net and fits himself perfectly through it. Safe as hutches!
He smiles at Sunhill. He smiles at anyone around him who might have seen his neat little move. He even smiles at the net-wielding 'bold who he's pretty sure saw it and is just trying to act unimpressed...
Then he smacks the 'bold again with his Shillelagh, Attack: 10+5=15 Dam: 4+3=7 Plus a d8 of Booming Blade thunder damage if he moves: 7dam
Skritch really wants it to move.
He'll risk the opp attack to dance back 5' out of reach and taunt the goblin (telepathically so it can understand him!) to, "Come at me! I dares ya!"
Dealuri escapes damage from both attacks and turns her attention to ending the threats with her hand crossbow (attack 10, damage 9). She is annoyed the smoke is covering the human in the corner that she wants to protect. But she remembers her mark of Loki so starts sniffing in case that helps identify his healthiness (perception 21)
