When the last minute shopping and final preparations have been made Salty waters up all available skins, buckets, hollow gourds, clay pots, pails, cups, sheep bladders, an upside-down helm with a blue feather, and a boot that he found in an alley and deemed 'clean enough'. His hand drifted to the shell adorned with three lightening bolts that he wore around his neck. "I'm not fer likin' bein' far from yon sea. Surein' Valkur's fer answerin' me prayin's, but..." The normally confident orc glanced back towards the sea then towards the desert, with more than a little trepidation in his deep blue eyes. The paladin of a sea god was as ready as he could get for an excursion inland. "Bah! Sand ain't fer stoppin' Salty. Me sea'll be der when me 'n ye's er fer comin' back."
Krakan will similarly help to carry whatever vessels they need to hold enough water, securing what he can to the camel and carrying the rest. He is ready to leave if everyone else is ready to depart. “I hope that this ends up being worth it, and not a dead end.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The party weaves their way through the city and through the massive Eastern gates past the caravanserais (Traders compounds for resting for incoming merchants) The Shurta let you pass into the desert and you see the large carved notice board stating the gates will be closed at 6:00 PM and will not open again till 6:00 Am.
You walk past shady palms and what is left of a road gives way to gently sloping plain of hard packed ground covered in gravel and small stones. The rising heat of the day soon makes you feel like you are walking on a hot griddle and you know it will get hotter once the sun is at its zenith
Samir adjusts the hood of his robes to cover most of his face to protect from wind and dust, "Let's not exert ourselves for no reason, our energy in this land would be best preserved." Samir votes for a normal/slow pace, depending on the heat of the day
Krakan wraps a covering around his face and takes some fabric to cover his bald pate as they head out into the heat. “Agree with you there. Let’s move a little faster, normal pace during the cooler beginning and end of the day, but slower at the peak of heat, around noon and the early afternoon hour.” He walks beside the camel, ready to get moving.

"Nice work Kraken. The trail will definitely be much better to travel on. Do we travel at night or rest my friends? Short rest and travel by light? Might be more risky with night creatures of the desert and our sight is more limited than the day, but the heat will be better. I believe the desert temps might feel cold after the day's heat so a fire might be welcome."
Samir is beginning to be covered in sweat and his eyes are squinted from the sun. He does not see what Kraken sees, but follows the group.
to Lucan: "I think it would be wise to get as much distance behind us as we can. The cover of darkness can help us elude anyone following or tracking us. Once the cold becomes unbearable, then we camp."
As they lie down, they put the camel in the center, Krakan sits and then leans back against the creature, stealing some of its warmth for the night. "We huddle together, to keep warm. Let's keep a perimeter, staying close to her as we stay warm. Should we keep a watch?" Krakan turns and looks at the camel who is watching him with indifference, chewing on a small piece of cud. "Hmm? Whatcha think?" he asks the camel, receiving no reply.

Lucan drinks all the water in his waterskin and still feels parched so he would need another waterskin full of water to satiate his needs for a day. The bucket has 10 gallons of water in it as I will assume it was filled before leaving the city.

As the sweat dripped off the blue haired orc he grunted agreement to the camp spot and plan to set watch for the rest. He plopped down for a moment and started digging around in his backpack. He pulled out this and that, finally dumping the contents into his lap. "Ye must be fer kiddin' me," he grumbles as he looks at the gear in disgust. Eventually he finds a decent sized sea shell (along with a bit of coral and several small but beautiful spiraling shells). With a sigh and small, but impressive, stream of profanity (mostly in orcish) he joined Lucan at the bucket and began the arduous process of drinking a gallon of water out of a shell. When he is no longer in danger of dehydration he says, "Me old pack was fer comin' wit a skin. Cheap sons o' basliks er surin' fer cuttin' corners."
***OoC: apparently the priest pack no longer comes w a waterskin. Ironic, the PC that filled up the bucket and a slew of other amusing items doesn't have a waterskin and is in the middle of a desert.
Salty can take any watch and sees well in the dark.***
