Krakan sees Samir in trouble out of the corner of his eye, he calls out, "Come and join us in the darkness, I can protect you, or do you want me to come to you? Do you need help?" He feels the biting sand of the sandstorm, he kicks out twice at Sandy Green, then moves 5 feet to the southeast, further depending on Samir's verbal response to his question. He risks the AoO to get out of the area of the sand storm. The darkness tracks with him, with his movement.

“Salty, I don’t hear Samir! Like you can hear anything in this blasted sandstorm. Is he okay, I can’t help him if he’s unconscious!” The worry in Krakan’s voice is evident, yelling over the sound of the sand and the wind.

Sand swirled, flying into his face and threatening to pin him in place. With a snarl that rumbled like thunder the orc dug in and resisted the storm of sand. Twirling with the swirling sand he borrowed some power from the beasts own storm and lashed out in a viscious strike.

He used the darkness to back away from the sand dog then moves towards the last place he knew Samir to be. When he exited the darkness he saw the body of his friend laying in the sand. Calling to Valkur touched the clerics shoulder and released a wave of healing magic.
Looking into the snarling jaws of two sand dogs he hoped that Krakan would be able to cover him in darkness, if not...

Samir could hear an audible sigh of relief from Salty when he sat up and spoke. The orcs hand was still on his shoulder when he felt a gentle pull and heard a harsh whisper, "Yerself's fer gettin' behind me, mate." Although he couldn't pull the man to safety he tried to guide him with a hand away from the fray and to a safer position behind hhs own armored body.
