Again, Pisgah signals a halt with a raised fist and heads back to the party "There is a pitfall ahead, we can skirt around it but go single file and be careful. I'm going to slip a little further down the trail. Seems like someone is trying to make it difficult to follow. Wonder what they are up to?"
Pisgah heads back down the trail, pointing out the pitfall when he comes to it.
Jasra starts mentally running through her magics, readying a spell if needed. Her most potent spell is Sleep but she's saving that until it can land hardest.
As Pisagh returns she looks to the others. "Onwards, quietly?"
Following the goblins' trail, you come across a large cave in a hillside five miles from the scene of the ambush. A shallow stream flows out of the cave mouth, which is screened by dense brair thickets. A narrow dry path leads into the cave on the right-hand side of the stream, What do you do?
Pisgah will report back to the group with what he sees. (let me know what you want me to roll for the following)
How deep is the stream and can it be crossed from the left hand side of the stream?
Does the path/cave entrance appear to be guarded or watched?
Does Pisgah believe he and Calen can flank the cave entrance from both the left and right sides (allowing Ranbrek and Jasra) to approach along the path if the entrance is clear?
PERCEPTION roll of 6 ....and I just forgot everything I was planning to pitch to the team... LOL!
Pisgah walks back up to the party and says "There is a cave entrance up ahead. I can't see that it is guarded and the pathway looks clear. We should be able to walk on in, if we want to."
"I'm willing to bet that's the hideout for the goblins we fought earlier. There's no telling how many more are in there, and if we stay quiet as we approach, we might be able to catch them by surprise."
"I can cast a a sleeping spell," Jasra says, "that should take a few of them out, though I'll save that until we're face with numbers - no sense using it on a lone gobbo!"
On the east side of the stream flowing from the cave mouth, a small area in the briar thickets has been hollowed out to form a lookout post or blind. Wooden planks flatten out the briars and provide room for guards to lie hidden and watch the area-including a pair of goblins lurking there right now! Fortunately, they don't seem to notice you.
(Also, inside the cave is dark, so let me know if you have darkvision. Sorry for posting this late.)
OOC: I thought in the 2014 5e rules, all the Genasi lines had dark vision but the new character sheet doesn't show it so I don't think Pisgah does have dark vision.
Pisgah signals to halt again by holding up a fist, then holds two fingers up, points in the direction of the two guards, looks back at the party, and draws a finger across his throat then shugs his shoulders as if asking "Do we attack?"
At Ranbrek's nod, Pisgah rushes the goblin closest to the cave mouth in a surprise attack. Just as Pisgah closes on the goblin, his foot catches on the edge of the plank platform the goblins are resting on which causes his swing to go wide, missing the goblin. Following through with the swing, Pisgah swings himself around to stand between the goblins and the cave, resolute that he will stop them from running into the cave.
ACTION: <weapon>Longsword</weapon> attack: 10 to hit for 8 points slashing damage
BONUS ACTION: None
MOVEMENT: Move to engage with goblins and set up a position to block the cave entrance
REACTION: Will use reaction to take an AoO if either goblin tries to break for the cave or moves back out of melee

As you venture along the trail, after another 10 minutes, Pisgah sees a hidden pitfall, a devious trap hidden among the trail.
Again, Pisgah signals a halt with a raised fist and heads back to the party "There is a pitfall ahead, we can skirt around it but go single file and be careful. As Pisagh returns she looks to the others. "Onwards, quietly?"
Calen nods at Jasra's suggestion and keeps walking behind Pisgah, looking behind them every once in a while to make sure they aren't ambushed again.
Ranbrek silently continues on with the group.

Can I get an overall Perception check for all of those questions?
Absolutely!!!

Pisgah nods and heads back down the trail toward the cave opening, attempting to be stealthy.
(Let me know if you want another Stealth roll)
"I can cast a a sleeping spell," Jasra says, "that should take a few of them out, though I'll save that until we're face with numbers - no sense using it on a lone gobbo!"
Feel free to make a stealth roll as you approach the cave opening.
STEALTH roll of 19
Assuming we're all going to stealth in, I rolled an 18.
Calen nods at Jasra's and Pisgah's words and will stand close to Jasra to provide cover and stay out of the spell's aoe.
Stealth check: 16
Ranbrek follows along with the group, somewhere behind Pisgah but in front of Jasra and Calen, doing his best to not make any noise.

Ranbrek nods at Pisgah's suggestion, and begins to move closer to the goblins if nobody objects.
OOC: Ranbrek does have darkvision. Also, would Sacred Flame have a chance at hitting the goblins here, seeing as it ignores cover?
