After stretching a little, Arthasis strolled over to the orc or whatever he was and gave him a little shove, “I hope you are still alive. You owe us a trip out of here.”, he said matter-of-factly. “That settlement you mentioned earlier. Tell us something about it, what will await us there?”, The warlock wanted to get a clearer picture of who they trusted their lives with, when they would step through the promised portal. Insight with Guidance : 21
The orc, startling awake, would shake his head a bit, gettign the exhaustion off of it before looking up to the human. He paused for several moments, just breathing before finally saying Well, to be quite honest, you'll be going to a village with more Kou-Toa like your friend there, shuushie? Sushi? Whatever his name was, the peaceful one. It's the nearest village, and the one with the best access in the entire Underdark, as you can get a boat to take you to several other settlements, and a place where you can get more information than I could provide.
He considered his next words before proceeding However, you will probably wish to .. uh.. go along with whatever the fishmen say, they're all highly religious, and so long as they think you think like them.. you get what I'm saying? Give me an hour to eat and get up fully and I will prepare the spell. But if you ever treat me with such disrespect again, savior or not, I will annihilate you where you stand. The gas Spores caught me off guard. You.. won't be so lucky.
you could tell with your insight, that nothing he said was a lie.
"Kuo-Toa never struck me as the most hospitable beings. Is there a reason why the wouldn't kill us or sacrifice to one of their fishgods?", Arthasis asked sceptical.
The orc looked at you sidelong as if you hadn't listened to anything he just said, and with a sigh continued If you don't play along with their games. As long as they feel you're on thier side, you probably will be fine. beings here do business with the Kou-Toa all the time, to ferry them across the Darklake and such. But whatever you do, do not break your bargain with them. They're so strict you might find out too late you've broken one.. if for example.. they ask you for a story, and you reach your destination without telling them one... well.. you're ****ed.
"Though we are but ultimately motes carried aloft by the cosmic winds of the multiverse, /never/ equate the unawakened's delusions as a mere 'game' to their faces." Shuushar shudders to himself. "The only merit to their nonsense is that they retain at least the beauty of synchronicity of a school of fish..... but without wherewithal to concern themselves for the gaping maw of madness surrounding them." He gives blubbery sigh and shakes his head. "It will not be easy, but the time of my ultimate trial is fast approaching."
"And it is Shuushar, uninitiated one. But you are forgiven." Shuushar says to the Orog, giving him a forgiving smile? Grin? Something like that.

Arthasis turned from the Orog after he got a few answers he was looking for. Still, he didn't like the idea of going to the Kuo-Toa village, but it seemed like the most viable option at the time. He guessed that they just had to make sure to appease those fishman as best they could. The most pressing matter that concerned him right now was the eye hanging around his neck. The warlock felt that it was only a matter of time before someone would try and take it from him. He would not allow it. The merge had to happen sooner rather than later.
Arthasis would almost immediately spot, flying high in the air due to a levitation spell, several drow, dressed like scouts, seeming to be scanning the area, it was clear they knew the party was close, but, weren't quite sure where. Floating among them were two drow elites, one of them happening to be the cocky one that had been sleeping with Ilyvara that Jorlan hated, and what seemed like a high ranking priestess of lolth, though she did not look familiar.
Perception: 12
They seemed to float closer to the group, but still seem unable to locate you all immediately. None of the drow spoke, clearly, they were trying to remain undetected.
Arthasis held his breath seeing the drow overhead. He immediately turned back towards the orog whispering, “We need to leave. Now.” He then pointed at the threat levitating right above them, while trying to make everyone realize that they had to be quiet now. Their lives depended on it.

Still lacking his normal power, but feeling well otherwise, Evrik turned to Shuushar. "Enlightened one. As we continue to run into trials and tribulations I have not yet had the pleasure of conversation with you. I know you wish to get to your home. Would traveling to this village that Orog speaks of help you with that desire? What do you know of this village? Do you think it would be safe for such a motley crew as ours?" (Insight: 13)
The orog wold see the threat, and tell you to gather everyone as close to the edge of the forest of fungus you had been hiding in, and he would prepare to teleport. You realize now thta if you had been camped anywhere else with less cover you might already be dead...
(will post later, having to do birthday stuffs, not mine.)
(Gonna leave that up to the DM, or at least wait until I have a bit more on that one Penguini. But he will for sure say, "There is no such thing as a safe place in the multiverse, 'o god speaker. But I will offer what guidance I can. Know, however, that this Inspired will not abide the madness of the unawakened, /if/ they are brazen enough to confront us with it.)

Chubby's perception: 15
Ever alert, Chubby spotted the oncoming drow scouts immediately as they entered the area. Quickly crawling around their makeshift camp, he gathers everyone up under the cover of a few close 'shrooms, and then whispers to the group, pointing to the oncoming search party.
Chubby can see the hair on thier chests, the slight bit of nipple exposed on the priestess' robe, and that there were no other drow in the general area aside from the five mentioned. He could even tell that this had been a scouting party, likely meant to find them and drag them back to Velkynvyv (their outpost that you don't know the name of IC). Chubby could also tell he wouldn't be gassy for atleast the next 24 hours after the spores cleaned him out. He even smelled lemony fresh!
The orog would say Well I am an accomplished mage, we can either fight them here and now, or I can teleport us all away. Make your choice swiftly, for it s only a matter of time before they find us.
Shuushar would nod and say This will be my grand trial, my destiny, my fate, my yarn to unravel, and the competing forces of the universe will be the silent judges of whether or not I am right, or am wrong. So to answer your question, yes. Succeed or fail, this will help me see my destiny unfold. As for safety is concerned, so long as you do as I have told you, and are careful of your words, and promises, they will allow you to pass, unimpeded. There may be a small group of zealots who will try to capture you regardless, however, they, whether of the first mind, or the second, are still ruled by a set of codes.
Arthasis eyed up the orog skeptically. ‘An accomplished mage.’, he thought to himself, seriously doubting the statement. In any case he wasn’t about to put his claims to the test against some murderous drow chasing them. Especially when Arthasis has not resolved the situation with the magic eye yet. “Get us out of here, please.”, he repeated.
Evrik agree's with getting out of there, and gathers the rest of the group in one spot around the orog, and the orog begins to chant.
It takes only seconds.
Your bodies tumble through an infinite space, being stretched into oblivion, your gut wrenches as if you're falling too fast, and suddenly, you're on solid ground again, in a much smaller tunnel than before, and this one is pitch black, rendering anyone without darkvision utterly blind and helpless.
I know atleast one of you can see. Go that way... he says, pointing down one of the two paths ....or if you wish to go back to where you were, go that way. Just remember to play along, atleast you have one Kou-Toa who seems to not be insane to a degree.. if a little aloof. As for you, warlock. I can see your impatience on your face. I can see your doubt. I can feel something evil coming from you. So let me be clear boy. If you ever become a threat to the underdark, you'll get to see the effects of a Meteor Swarm underground. Now, I have business to attend to, but you all cost me my teleport spell for the day. Atleast i know where to be this time, and should I run across your.. friendly drow, I'll be sure to annihilate them.
Shuushar would bow, palms together, pointing inward, much as a monk would do as a sign of respect. Thank you for your assistance in this endeavor, oh kind Orog. Like me, you are not like your kind. And I know that our streams will cross again in time immemorial. Until then. My life and my fate are coming to their head. We will see if I pass the test. For even I, granted the vision, cannot see where this road ends.
With that, the orog would walk away,, leaving the group there to decide what they would do next. Off in the distance, the shuffling of feet could be heard in the direction the orog had pointed.
Chubby: "Hmmm, THAT was fun. Kinda like being on the inside of my stomach when I was blowing chunks earlier, you know? Anyway, there is noise coming from that direction...(pointing to the same way Orog pointed)...let's head that way. Must be town? I'm starving."
Evrik would nod, grabbing his things and preparing to trek. Asking his patron for assistance and guidance.
As would Shuushar, maintaining his silent, trance-like state as they walked. Even he, somehow seemed rigid despite his normally reposed self.
The cave went downward, and turned, much like a house-staircase in the corner of a mansion. The path was pitch black, thin, and dark, you were maybe half an hour from the city, and as you all trek forward, you eventually start hearing what sounds like Caribbean music.
(I'd suggest we wait for Immo to post at this point before he gets too far behind. Also I shouldn't but.. Arthasis, this will probably be your last chance to do something with the eye for a while)
