The monkey tips an invisible hat to Chubby before beginning to blow smoke circles off to the side. Mr. Bigz meanwhile chuckles into a fist, and then makes an off-handed gesture to their surroundings. "Why we live here, beautiful... That's me and Popsravi here."The monkey gives a thumbs-up agreement. "In fact, I even was an officer of Gauntlgrym's watchman for awhile... But those days are behind me. Decent pay, but far too much work... plus, uh..."
A light bulb appears to finally go off in his head, prompting him to snap his finger. When that inevitable fails as he also realizes the gloves, he just points both index fingers at the group. "You know it just occurred to me. With the exception of, uhm.. Mister C-man over there... ahah... I made a funny." There's can be no doubt that he is smiling a little smugly at the bad joke. "Mm... Ahem! Right, with the exception of your dwarven friends, the rest of you really shouldn't be so far away from Gauntlgrym.. or the deep Kingdom... or that.. I always forget the name of the other place, but where on our way there, so its... whatever." He shrugs. "But yeah. What brought you so far away? Don't tell me you are runaways of the Drow. Oh ba ba. Such sticklers."
He clicks his tongue and shakes his head. "Oh. Before that. Mind if I cast a bit of magic on you and your lizard friend there? You seem to be squinting a lot, and I would like to help fix that, if that's alright?"
"Magic, like I said." He says thoughtlessly as he began fishing around his person for something. Eventually, the monkey gets fed up with the Bugbear's constant moving around. So, with a shake of his head, he pulls out this Black Iron Rod from out of his hood and bops Bigz upside the head. "What? Ohhh... Thank again, Pip. Good looking out. Now, where was I?" He takes the rod and pantomimes scratching his head.
"Oh, you wanted the -- right, right. So, it grantsDarkvision, basically for a solid seven to eight hours. Pretty crazy right, I know. Saved me a whole lotta trouble when a couple surface dwellers from deepwater... no, sorry, Waterdeep came down from time to time, only to get lost."His laugh quickly trails off into a sigh. "

The red streaks slowly subsided from his vision as sounds from every direction began to creep in. The spider looked toward the bugbear and the others and shook. Immotichey's mind was becoming his own again. "Wha...?" He waved one of his eight legs and the threads of nature whirled around the spider and Immotichey took his natural form once again. Approaching the group talking with the bugbear, he looks at Arthasis, "Sorry about that. You and those stones man, why do you continue to risk us for those stones?"

As Immotichey descended from his bloodlust, Evrik lets out a sigh of relief. But he had been trying to pay attention to these two new faces that they had come across. He did not trust this fishman and now some bugbear too easily offering assistance. And why hat the kuo-toa said the Demogorgon had risen too soon? Was there any good time that such a beast should arise? Something fishy seemed afoot. Seeging guidance, he listened, trying to intuit their words and actions. (Insight: 16)
Having his offer at least momentarily forgotten, Bigz stuffs his focus into an inner pocket on his uniform, and just folds his arms to wait patiently for things to resolve themselves. Although if things go on for awhile, he mentally asks Pops to do a short patrol of the area and keep watch.
At which point, Bigz would clean his pipe with a quick word of arcane power([Tooltip Not Found]), then casually begin setting it back up while continuing to observe.
"My stones.", Arthasis said without even considering giving a more elaborate answer. “Don’t bother woman.”, he continued casually as he put the gems into his backpack again. The warlock then turned his golden eye towards the bugbear. “What are you doing here? What mission was the fish talking about that you should accomplish?” Arthasis mustered the newcomer trying to figure out what to expect from him but he couldn’t quite come to a reasonable conclusion.
Bigz pauses for a second at the question having just began placing his pipe to lips. "Oh, so you heard that, eh? Wellll, its like this my man. You know that thing with the demon prince back at -- this just me assuming now consider'n where that tunnel leads -- but, Sloopadoop?"He takes a second to take a drag from his pipe. "Mm... that's some good stuff... anywho. The Order of Brilliance -- that's that group the Boss is apart of -- and... frankly, a few other folk probably know as well, having been piecing together signs of heavy demon lord activity. Six in all."
"Well, 5 now I guess. Thanks by the way."He says, sounding genuinely appreciative. "'cause let me tell ya, I was not looking forward to head there. See, I made it my personal, uhm, 'thing' to avoid the place on account that I like living. But Boss says we start there, so off we go."Bigz shrugs on that note, and then sticks out his hand to Arthasis. "Mr. Bigz, by the way. 'Case you missed it. Didn't get your name."
Arthasis approached the bugbear and firmly shook his extended hand. “My name is Arthasis. And you assume right, we just managed to leave the village before the demon leveled it. It was quite a close call to be honest.”, the warlock said. This was the second time this ‘society of brilliance’ crossed his path and it was time to get some more information about them. This creature seemed to be involved and so Arthasis wanted to get on good terms with it for now. “So this society of brilliance wants to fight those demon lords, or what are their plans?”, he asked.
"Oh, I see." She called out to Arthasis. "You don't answer questions but have plenty of your own. Seems fair." And then out to anyone in general. "Can someone make a light for ****s sake? I'm sick of walking in the dark."
Eldreth would pat Evrik on the shoulder, and say Forgive me lad, I'd say we should press onward.. we've been walking for most of a day, We can go a wee bit farther afore we stop fer the day, eh? Then we'll all get a good solid nap in, and press on tomorrow? Instead of stopping now, and then stopping again in less than an hour eh? Hemeth nodded his agreement, saying You can still swing a weapon, even if ye have no spells aye? We gotta keep moving or we'll never get anywhere.

The group presses onward then, with Hemeth at the lead. DM rolls: 4 - 16 The tunnel continued on, wide enough that you could all move comfortably. The tunnel was bare, aside from an occasional stalactite or stalagmite. And eventually a tiny stream, less than a foot wide was heading down the center of the tunnel, where it had gone off into the cave wall earlier, you were apparently heading up to it's source.

"Fighting... is a strong word."Bigz admits taking his hand back to tug at his beard. "Undermine attempts at further summoning seems a bit more appropriate. Frankly, it came as some confusion as Demon Lords aren't able to be summoned normally. At most, you might find a cult that slipped a great underling or a... ahhh-avatar, that's the word. But never the lord themselves. The gods... eh, well, most of'em from what I understood put in special barriers I think to try and prevent it. And to discover the possibility of multiple Demon Lords slipping through?"He shakes his head. "But that's the big picture at the moment. Though I expect there'll be proper fighting for the society soon enough. Wouldn't be much point in doing anything else if the whole world winds up doomed cause of a bunch a lunatics."
"I'm sorry mam. You ready now? For me to cast the spell and help you see? I would have done it by now, but it would've been awfully rude."He says, fishing out his focus again."Also, nature of the spell requires 'willing' participants." With that, he will cast the spell on Immotich and Crispy if willing, granting them Darkvision before following along with the group. Assuming most if not everyone minds, he will keep towards the front whenever possible for now.

Chubby offers to be up in front the of group, as always. Right behind Hemeth. Periodically (okay, let's assume about once every 30 seconds), he peers back to sneak a glance at the flying monkey, who continues to intrigue him.
As usual, Crispy wasn't buying it. She looked at the bugbear - what she could see - back to Chubby, and back to the bugbear again.
"Wait a minute." She said. "What are you doing down here?"
Chubby can’t stop staring at the flying money. He wants one.
