Vannithos turns his attention to the short thrall, drawing his shortsword. He attempts to stab the creature but aims too high. Lesson learned, he flows into a quick jab and kick.
Action: Shortsword (Dedicated Weapon) to hit nat 1+5
Bonus Action: Flurry of Blows. Attack 1 to hit 16, damage 4 bludgeoning. Attack 2 to hit 17, damage 6 bludgeoning.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Your continued attacks land, smacking the creature this way and that.
Angered by the assault, the short thrall strikes back at Vannithos with it's hideous claws. Attack: 3 Damage: 10
The ugly thrall follows suit, seemingly desperate to at least get a scratch in on Vadania. 20 Damage: 9
Engelheart, once again you can choose if you want to see what all the commotion is about, or stay outside with Garil. If you decide to pass, it will be Vadania's turn. Ugly 5 ft, Short 25 ft.
The thrall gets a scratch on Vadania's cheek, pulling her mask off. Despite the scratch landing, it struggled to damage through Vadania's thick fur especially in her current bulked up state. Pulling the mask off revealed a wolf snout. Looks like Vadania wasn't quite human after all. Angered She swipes at the thrall, trying to rip its head off and open its chest up.
((9 damage reduced to 4 due to resistance))
Reckless Attack Claw vs Ugly Thrall: 13 (Adv: 21) to hit | Dmg: 10 Slash Claw vs Ugly Thrall ((If Ugly Thrall is already dead from the 10 damage, she moves to the Short Thrall and attacks it instead)): 12 (Adv: 10) to hit | Dmg: 5 Slash
Olgha doesn’t move a muscle, letting the shadows wrap around her as she takes perfect aim. With a cool, steady hand, she draws back her shortbow and focuses all her hatred on the wounded ugly thrall.
BA: Steady Aim: She narrows her eyes and lets the world fade, locking in on her target. [OOC: Rolled with advantage, second dice hits with Nat20.---> Damage: 11 ---> Sneak Attack: 7 + 6]
She releases the arrows, aiming right for where the creature is weakest.
The creature's heart is pierced by the bolt, dropping it dead on the ground as it gives one final shriek. (Two nat 20s in a row, perhaps you should go buy a lottery ticket)
As it is a nat 20 and thus a critical (the THIRD one of the fight), you deal an additional 6 damage. Your thrust pierces the thrall in the eye, killing it and ensuring it can harm others no longer.
Vannithos moves to Olgha with the second necklace to add to the box. "It seems we'll be collecting more of these in the coming days. Those flames...Do these grant them a bit of Skeer's power, perhaps?" He is mainly just thinking aloud, but the man does seem to be able to talk in their heads despite not being around.
"I don't think so..." Vadania responds as she leans down to pick up her mask she uses to hide her wolf snout and her lycanthropic nature. "Skeer wanted this man dead. It does not make sense for him to also benefit from Skeer's power. I think we are dealing with two opposing forces."
Olgha doesn’t touch the second amulet directly...she nods for it to be dropped into the priestess’s protective box with the first, her gaze never leaving the thing. “Don’t even brush your skin against it,” she warns, voice flat. “Skeer’s not just whispering in their minds. He’s puppeteering them...these amulets might just be his strings.”
The Dhampir eyes the box, then glances at the bloodied floor where the cultists fell. “Next time we face one of his marionettes, we shouldn’t kill them outright... . Take the amulet, knock them out. If the f***er's hold is tied to the jewelry, breaking that link might free their mind. We might even be able to question them, find out how much of themselves is left once the string’s cut.”
Vadania questions, "If this man was truly Skeer's minion, why would he try to employ us in order to kill him? Sending his own minions to fight themselves makes no sense. I do not think these medallions are tied to Skeer."
Olgha studies Vadania for a moment, lips quirking in a humorless smile. “It’s possible you’re right. But Skeer strikes me as the type to play his enemies against each other...even his own minions. If these amulets aren’t his, then someone else is running a web just as tangled. Maybe the medallions serve a third hand, and we’ve only seen the surface.”
She taps the box with a gloved finger. “It could be a test of some kind. Maybe he was even trying to collect the amulets so we’d be manipulated by their power. Who knows what a fiend’s mind can concoct? It feels weird, but what doesn’t, lately?” Olgha gives a small, cold shrug. “Until we know for sure, I’m treating every one of these trinkets as if it bites.”
The additional 7 damage was enough to kill the cultist, dropping him to the floor.
[OOC: Yippee-ki-yay :))...didn't know you also double the sneak attack damage on a Crit]
Getting over his shock at the sudden situation, Vorin draws a blade and rushes the Ugly Thrall, taking a swing:
Attack: 8 for 6 Slashing damage
The thrall manages to avoid your swing.

Vorin will pivot to that thrall and try stabbing it.
