Tisnip will take up the rear and watch their backs. She votes for the direction of the chanting.
At Rajiira's question Tisnip will look over at the aspergillum and ooh a little. "I won't take it from you, but it could actually prove a decent weapon if we encounter more ghosts or other undead creatures. You put holy water in it and if you swing it, it'll send the water flying out toward them." She'll bite her lip and hmm softly. "Being made of bone is a little strange, but once we're out of here we can test it and see if it harms the holy water in any way. I don't have any on me right now, unfortunately."
Tyriok puts his book back in his robe and stands up as he adjusts his spectacles. "I think we should send out a scout to check out the chanting. See how many we're up against and form a plan before we charge in spells and arrows a-blazing. I feel like whatever they're doing needs to be halted before something disastrous happens."

"Rajiira would not consider herself a skilled predator, but a successful one most of the time. Rajiira appreciates it regardless, as she knows the heart behind the intent. As for the mayor? While I do not have any ties to your father, and am only just starting to know you, Rajiira will place herself in your shoes. "She said locking eyes with him, her hands reaching the floor, as she sat in a spread-legged squat now, as everyone seemed to be getting ready to leave. Then, her face turned dark as she explained, her tail twitching with agitation as she tried to imagine it happening to her own."If something similar had happened to Rajiira's family, the mayor would have never woken up from his sleep, and his head would be much looser from it's body. Perhaps this one can add an additional lesson to your book of learning. Having feelings does not mean you let the bad people go. Rajiira sure you felt something and thought letting him live with a wound was the best, or what your family would want.. perhaps it was, it is not this one's place to know. But think of it like this..." she said, one furry digit raising matter of factly as she pushed it between his nostrils. as she sprung up to standing, and gathered her stuff. "Evil is like a weed. If you do not pull it by the root, it will simply regrow. What if your family was not the only one he or the village had done it to? or would do it to. Now? He is alive, and can continue to do as he pleases. If he were dead, perhaps another would spring up and do the same, perhaps not. But with him alive.... it guarantee's that it can." she would pat his head, and offer him a hand up, not that she felt he needed it.
Ignore the below now as the DM's post was put up as I finished it.
Whether he took it or not, she would then turn to the group and say "Normally Rajiira would agree that a bit of scouting ahead would be a boon. However, this time.. Rajiira think's that would not be wise. There is a reason Rajiira suggested getting you all when myself, Thrrash, and Tizzy came back for you all. If we send a scout ahead, and they are caught, we essentially send them to thier death, and thin our numbers. Or lets say that the scout is discovered and flee's... that disaster you speak of may come sooner now that they know there is a threat. Rajiira feels instead we should move stealthily as a group, let your ranged take the first shots, while the melee Ready to charge in after we sneak attack them."
With Tisnip guarding the rear, and Thrash in the lead ready for action, Rajiira scouts up ahead in the curving hallway. The chanting stops as soon as she peers into the room at the end of the hall. The smooth masonry walls provide excellent acoustics. Featureless stone pillars support the ceiling, and a breach in the west wall leads to a dark cave heaped with refuse. Murky water covers most of the floor. Stairs lead up to dry stone ledges that hug the walls. In the middle of the room, more stairs rise to form an octagonal dais that also rises above the water. Rusty chains with shackles dangle from the ceiling directly above a stone altar mounted on the dais. The altar is carved with hideous depictions of grasping ghouls and is stained with dry blood.
"I think we found the monster's lair..." Alustine says. "But where is it? And who was doing all of the chanting? More spirits, perhaps? A magic spell left in place ages ago? I think we should go to the ledges and scout the edges..." He will continue peering into the cavern, his eyes able to see into the darkness, looking for creatures, hazards, and/or torches along the walls.
You can see in the room that the water is two feet deep, the ledges and central dais are five feet high. The chains dangling from the ceiling are about eight feet long and dangle over the dais.
Half embedded in the east wall is a wooden wheel that looks like it can be turned.
There is a collapsed hole in the west wall leads to a naturally formed alcove.
Rajiira would tell Thrash to check out the wheel in the wooden wall, while she herself heads to the central dais, using the stairs and carefully inspects it, to see if she can glean any information from what she can see there.

Before Thrash has a chance to make it to the wheel, Rajiira steps up onto the dais. When she does the chanting rises once more as thirteen dark apparitions appear on the ledges overlooking the room. Each one resembles a black-robed figure holding a torch, but the torch’s fire is black and seems to draw light into it. Where you woukd expect to see faces there are only voids.
“One must die!” they chant, over and over. “One must die! One must die!”
Rajiira would use her Feline Agility(racial trait) to jump off he dias and back away from it back to where she had asked Thrash to go, whether he went there or not, and drew her bow mid-leap readying it. (Acrobatics for flashy exit: 19)
"Oh no... I think we've overstayed our welcome. How about we leave now?"
OTC will use a bonus action to cast shillelagh, then heads slowly out of the room, clickety-sniffing around for this 'Lorghoth the Decayer'. If she can do this as well on top of everything else she will ready to cast frostbite(con 14, damage 4+disadvantage on next attack) on any potential enemy.

Thrash would stop in his tracks and turn to Rajiira. "WHAT DID YOU DO! a large toothy grin on his face. "Stumbling I to monsters is my job." He would then toss his torch into the middle of the room (or where ever there is a dry patch of land) and pull out the longsword Rajiira recovered for him. Holding his shield up just below his eyes, he would slowly circle the room around the torchlight looking for threats.
The javelin actually says "beautiful predator" in draconic but Rajiira is none the wiser
When this 'Lorghoth the Decayer' appears, Alustine will put his hand on Thrash's shoulder and begin to sing in a strong, confident voice. His song fills the space, but it especially fills Thrash's heart with confidence, courage, and heroism.
Thrash will turn his head to look at Alustine as he places his hands on his shoulder. After a moment Thrash will start to slam his sword against his shield to the sound of the beat. A fire will begin to burn in bis eyes like the reflections of the burning torch on the ground. Once the song ends, Thrash will let out a large battle cry.

The rubble inside the alcove shifts, falling away down into the water. The stench of death and decay fills the room as a large green mass starts to ooze it's way up the sides of the stone ledge, making sickening sucking sounds as it goes. The creature has no face, yet it feel like it can see you as it pulls its large form up to the ledge and begins sliding towards you.
Only-The-Cold brings up her frost covered shillelagh and sends a blast of icy cold air at the creature. Con save: 17 But it seems unaffected.
Raijira, in a low crouch fires a shit from her bow, the arrow sinking into its ''flesh', it's difficult to tell if it was injured by it.

I am just a man - Not superhuman - (I'm not superhuman) - Someone save me from the hate
It's just another war - Just another family torn - Falling from my faith today - Just a step from the edge - Just another day in the world we live
I need a hero to save me now - I need a hero (save me now) - I need a hero to save my life - A hero'll save me (just in time)
I've gotta fight today - To live another day - Speakin' my mind today - (My voice will be heard today)
I've gotta make a stand - But I am just a man - (I'm not superhuman) - My voice will be heard today
It's just another war - Just another family torn - (My voice will be heard today) - It's just another kill

I need a hero to save my life - A hero'll save me (just in time) - I need a hero to save my life - I need a hero just in time
Who's gonna fight for what's right? - Who's gonna help us survive? - We're in the fight of our lives - (And we're not ready to die)
Who's gonna fight for the weak? - Who's gonna make 'em believe? - I've got a hero (I've got a hero) - Livin' in me!"
