(OOC: Sorry - forgot to specify the curse. I choose: While cursed, the target must make a Wisdom saving throw at the start of each of its turns. If it fails, it wastes its action that turn doing nothing.)
After cursing the swamp creature, Alustine will move towards the entrance and yell curses at the giant creature. "You are one giant, brainless, slippery hambeast, Lorgoth! Why, you aren't a destroyer...you ain't nothing but a pickle-sucking flaxwench!" The bard didn't know if his vicious mockery would have any effect on the plant, but he was out of options and wanted to help in some way!
(OOC: DC13 WIS save for this spell AND another for the Curse!)
***do you think we could damage the supports you mentioned enough while fleeing down here that we could cause the tunnel to collapse and either lock the monster down here forever or kill it in a cave in?***
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rajiira ducks back behind the hallway wall and peeks back just in time to see Thrash get hit. Screaming "Thrash!" she looses another arrow straight into the creature, and sees green blood ooze out of the wound.
Tisnip tries to hold her position and usher her companions out of the room. She calls down another Sacred flame - Dex Save 18 - and sees the radiant light burn the leafy top of the creatures torso.
Allustine will shout some curses at the creature, hoping to effect it mentally - Wis Save 19 - But the monster seemed unharmed.
Thrash takes the opportunity to get away from the creature before it has a chance to hit him again.
OTC thinks to herself, "Third times a charm" and sends a blast of icy air at the creature again - Con Save 9 - Once again the blast seems to harmlessly blow past Lorgoth.
Tyriok, seeing his flame attack was ineffective will conjure up a chromatic sphere and hurl it at the creature, spraying acid all over it. Lorgoth writhes in silent pain.
Lorgoth - Wis Save 9 - Lorgoth pauses for a moment, his 'head' moving around the room as if he's trying to detect where you all are, but it unable for the moment.
Rajiira is joined by Thrash in the hallway, OTC, and Allustine are close to the room entrance, and Tisnip is just in front of them, shield at the ready.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thrash will shift his shield to his back and quickly move to pick up his torch, lifting it as high as he can with his battered arm. He will then try his best to stagger towards the exit away from the monster, moving as quickly as he can while holding sword wielding arm over his splintered ribs. As thrash approaches the support beams for the opening into the room they are standing, he will attempt to attack it as he moves past in the hopes of just collapsing the opening to the room.
Attack a wooden post: Attack: 6 Damage: 9
*** I CRIT THE TUNNEL SUPPORT!!! YOU GUYS BETTER HAUL ASS ***
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rajiira would shout at OTC as they all backed away "Cold one could you stop sending the creature pleasant breezes, and do something more effective! Put your soul into it!"
Just as they all made it to the hallway apparently, Thrash would slam against one of the support beams. Biting back a retort about how dangerous that was if it ended up working. Her tail shifting agitatedly, still ready to face the beast if even his resounding blow was not enough to bring down the column entrance.
On the off chance that it didn't bring down the entrance, Rajiira would ready another attack, aiming for the creatures 'crotch' - Attack: 20 Damage: 9
(Since i am going to bed for work, you can assume i keep firing as we back up to keep combat going. If by some chance we beat the creature I will attempt to retrieve my arrows if possible.)

_______________ | | | |o_____o_ | M _________ | |X o |______________|
M = monster and X is the one I destroyed, hoping If I destroy the one on the other side of the tunnel it will just make the opening collapse so he cannot chase us.
the pillars were in the room that you guys all found the random items, it was like a rectangular room. you traveled down a hall that curved off to the lorgoth room. He is still there since he didnt move or act on his last turn. but you guys can move down the short hall back the rectangle room.

*** I was thinking that there were smaller wooden supports running along the inside of the smaller tunnels but looking back I cannot actually find where that was mentioned, so I am dumb. Anyway, this will work as well lol****
Looking back over his shoulder, not seeing the beast right behind him... he will shuffle over towards the next nearest support column to the entrance and prepare to strike it hard with the intention of running away from the beast if it attempts to get close. "If you don't want to help me bring this room down, keep moving! Get back to the stairs leading up to the attic!" Pain and anger filling his voice before he coughing up a large amount of blood onto the other column.
Attempt to strike the second Support column Attack: 11 Damage: 5
So if you're all running ill let you drop out of combat. but if everyones going to keep firing at it as you go, then i'm going to keep you in initiative order which means that Thrash already went.
****Thrash would like to try to make sure the beast cannot follow us out of the house or harm anyone in the future by sealing it down here forever but If the beast starts coming towards him and no one else is trying to bring down the columns before he arrives Thrash would just give up and retreat with the rest of the group.****
Just throwing this out there, I think we have to beat this guy, in order to progress the story. Not sure retreat's really a full option. maybe a temporary one, but probably whatever 'clue' were supposed to find to be like 'Oh well that guys a baddie, and we need to stop him' will be there
We can try to kite this guy back through the basement and try to deal damage along the way but I think it is probably way to powerful to fight head on....

in the group I'm DMing, they bet a drow preistess boss pretty easily... and she was supposed to be a challenge rating 18....
Rajiira would keep firing at it as they backed up, since the structure didn't seem to be coming down as planned. She felt the being would somehow be able to follow them regardless of where they went.
Aiming now for one of it's 'knees' Attack: 21 Damage: 5
(Alustine does not have a ranged weapon, and he ain't gettin' close enough to attack with his rapier! Also out of spell slots...so he maintains concentration and has one more Bardic Inspiration he can use.)
Alustine will watch down the passage, his infernal eyes able to peer into the darkness with ease. "Rajiira, you have a keen eye and your skill with that bow is amazing! I bet you can hit that plant creature where it hurts with your next shot - in fact, I'll buy you a bottle of your preferred adult beverage in the next town if you can really hurt ole Lorgoth!"
(Rajiira , For 10 minutes, you can add 1d6 to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.)
