As Madam Eva speaks on Tisnip's eyes will go wide and her heart will start to race with anticipation. All these poor people, trapped in Barovia against their will and miserable for it--at least from what she'd seen. She was definitely led here, there will be no doubt in her mind. "If you were expecting us you must certainly have some sort of wisdom to give us, to help us on our quest."
She'll blink at Rajiira and OTC, frowning. "I believe lizardfolk lay eggs, Thrash, is that right? And OTC, she doesn't look like a deer. She looks quite nice, actually. And we're guests, everyone, be polite!"
Thrash would give Rajiira a playful nudge in response to her comments as they walked into the tent. After asking the wise woman questions and listening to the answers, his mouth would drop open and a huge smile would spread across his face at Rijiira's question about kids. Immidiatly his mind would start racing... "Holy crap... the possibilities.... the.. the ultimate predator.." he would whisper to himself, but loud enough that those nearby could also hear. He would stand with his mouth open... just... staring with a goofy grin for a while until hearing Tisnips response Rajiira's question.
"Hey! What does it matter WHERE the eggs are located... you have eggs, Rajiira has eggs, lizardfolk females have eggs, DO NOT RUIN THIS TISNIP" He would whisper yell to Tisnip with a grin on his face.
The bard was disappointed to leave the Vistani folk around the fire so abruptly - it was bordering rudeness if Madam Eva had not called for them. There were customs, and rituals, to be met when joining the travelling folk at their campsite. Ah well...perhaps later this evening...
"Please, sit a moment, I'll try to explain," and she motions to come to her table where there are enough chairs for all of you to sit. "My people are travelers, we don't stay in any one place for very long. Hundreds of years ago, during a time when this land was at war and still a part of the world, the Prince of this land was badly injured in a battle. My ancestors, the Vistani, they found him and rescued him, nursed him back to health. As thanks, the Prince declared that our people would always be free to come and go as we please from this land. But one does not become a Vistani, you're born one, it's in the blood."
"As for why this place is the way it is... Well, years later, the King was killed and the Prince waged a long and bloody war against his enemies, seeking vengeance. The war made him cold and arrogant. The Prince came to believe that only he was powerful enough to rule this land and made a pact with dark powers to keep it that way. He still to this day lets us come and go from this land as we please. But all others here are trapped. You can wander in that mist forever and never find your way out."
She pauses for a moment, giving you all a moment to process things, "As for your futures, well the future is hard to read. It's not a set thing, I can only see possibilities. But I can offer a reading, which can give you some guidance as to where to go from here, if you'd like?"
Thrash, after replying to Tisnip would immediately go back to staring into the distance and whispering to himself again..... "My teeth... Her claws.... We are both pretty stealthy but man she is fast, her speed for sure... oo ooo but with my protective scales.... My strength and her dexterity.... " His eyes huge, his grin so wide every one of his daggerlike teeth are visible.
(I did think that was odd! The incense is messing with OTC's poor nose again. lol)
"A reading? Oh yes, please. Any guidance you can offer us would be greatly appreciated."Tisnip will be practically vibrating in her armor with eagerness, though she'll stay planted firmly where she stands in an attempt to seem professional.
Rajiira shrugged as the fortune teller, or whatever she truly was completely ignored her inquiry. Making a mental note of it, for later use. Rajiira then sat cross-legged on the ground, before asking again, hoping to not be ignored again, saying Well do you mean a personal reading? or a group reading? if you mean personal, Rajiira will take one. If you mean group.. This one is sure we would like some assistance in getting from this place to the next viable place... as Rajiira has already mentioned. A faint bit of annoyance creeping into her otherwise positive tone, as she had basically already asked this of the woman.
Rajiira would most definitely pay Eva a visit again if she survived this, before heading back to her own home.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thrash will snap out of his daydream and look to the Fortune Teller "So let me get this straight... We are stuck here because your people chose to save some jerk many years ago that decided to make a deal with some mysterious evil that gave him power over this land..... great... good going..... sounds like you guys should have let him die to me." Thrash's eyes going dark, he will stand with his arms crossed over his Charcoal scaled chest. "Since you cannot... or will not... tell us how to get out of here, I will tell you what I am going to do. I am going to kill this prince Strahd... I am going to watch him die on the cold ground in front of me like your people should have done all those years ago... and once he is dead, we are going to walk out of this forsaken land." Thrash's would say through bared teeth, pointing a scaled claw at the woman as the frills that run along the the center of his head and down his back quiver as his back heaves up an down with his heavy breathing. Then, he would turn and head out of the tent and take a seat again by the fire with the other Vistani, pulling out his drum in the hopes joining them in their music..... trying to calm down...
"I'm sorry little kitty cat, but I did answer you question. My answer was, it's too early to tell, there are many possible futures, many outcomes to your actions. All I can do is help guide you to a more favorable one. You all seem set on leaving, and the way to do that involves confronting the evil that keeps you here,so.." she reaches down and pulls up a small velvet drawstring bag, and pulls out a deck of cards, "Let us see how you can go about doing this."
She shuffles the cards, draws one and lays it down in front of you. "This card tells of history. Knowledge of the ancient will help you better understand your future."
"I see a dark room full of bottles. It is the tomb of a guild member."
She draws a forth card, "This card sheds light on one who will help you greatly in the battle against darkness.
"I see a Vistana woman, who wanders this land alone, searching for her mentor. She does not stay in one place for long. Seek her out at Saint Markovia’s abbey, near the mists."
She draws a fifth card, "This is the final card. Your enemy is a creature of darkness, whose powers are beyond mortality. This card will lead you to him!"
she recoils for a moment "What horror is this? I see a man made by a man. Ageless and alone, it haunts the towers of a castle."
Tisnip will sigh as Thrash storms off and step forward to take his place nearer to Madam Eva. She'll note each card that's set down and what she has to say about it, especially interested in the holy symbol though not quite sure about it's supposed location. "So weapons and allies and...a hostage?"
She'll look back to the others, wondering what they think. "Only one of these gives us a concrete destination, and I wouldn't mind an ally with knowledge about this place."
"I believe the abbey is located far from here, on the other side of Barovia, near the Village of Krezk. The mists are the same as the ones that brought you here, Krezk is located close to the edge of Strahd's domain."

"She's a creepy old deer lady, isn't she? Yeah, she totally is."
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?

Tyriok speaks up, "I'd like a reading, please. The Prince you speak of is Strahd, isn't it? Interesting."

She draws another card, "This card tells of a powerful force for good and protection, a holy symbol of great hope."

She draws a third card, "This is a card of power and strength. It tells of a weapon of vengeance"

She draws a forth card, "This card sheds light on one who will help you greatly in the battle against darkness.

Thrash didn't hear any of that , it is taking out his anger on his drum by the fire.
