**Sorry, I should have posted earlier, but I did not want to distract anyone from time with family over Thanksgiving. I should have informed you all, I will resume my postings as normal.**
Gathering up the materials off the undead and from the chest you in-total are carrying two poor quality sets of guard armor, a usable chain mail shirt, (the gold only Sabrea knows of), and the quiver of magical arrows that Yelfrig currently holds, though not knowing the magic they posses.
Ron as you travel through the city it is easy to pick up on how grand of a hive of activity had once been. Looking down on the walls as the party leads you back to the only safe quarter of the city you make your way past the manufacturing district, the exact center is dominated by one of the largest brewing complex outside of the dwarven strongholds. And is famous for the quailty being second to those of the much more expensive dwarven kind.
You all make it back unscathed to the safe quarter where you make your way to the city elder so that you are able to make your report to him. "Ah so glad you all made it back safe. I was quite perplexed when you did not return before dark yesterday, and was worried you had fallen to the creatures on the outside. But seeing you return alive has brought me new joy. I hope you do have good news to report about the grate and drawbridge." A look of thin optimism was on his face as the poor man could only hope the defenses of the abandoned sections had remained secure.
Sabrae sighs as she steps up, cloak rustling around her thin figure. “I wish we did. Unfortuenately, we caught sight of several figures moving into and out of the grate. The drawbridge continues to function, but that is about all the good news we have for you.”
Sorvon goes to the elder also "it is true nothing but the drawbridge is left the guards are dead the gate is broken and the grate is having many undead visitorsand our new friend seems to have seen something unusual"
Ron explains what he saw to the elder, "I saw a hooded figure quickly dashing through the zombies and skeletons, yet for some reason, they did not attempt to go after it, as if the figure is one of them or they are simply unable to notice it. "
Sabrae interjects. “While I wouldn’t get my hopes up, this could be a good thing. Some of my people have abilities like the ones our new companion discribes. While I am not sure, this figure could very easily be friend, not foe.”
"A figure able to move among the undead? It could be useful, but I have a feeling those who have it and have not shared it would be of great value to us. Any future sightings of such people I would encourage you to apprehend them and bring them back alive. As for the guards they have been there, I imagine, from when the city was first over ran, we closed the gates into the city. When I had men check the grate they would lower it to check before raising it again to prevent any easy access to the undead. I do hope you raised the draw bridge before you returned. As for the figures moving in and out the sewers means it is also someone with nefarious intent, or undead, as few who venture into the sewers are able to return. I will begin plans immediately to fix the grate, we will have need of your services again soon adventures. I hope you will join them new companion, it would be harsh to lose the only adventures in the city."
Stoking his chin as he thought, knowing it would be a large effort to collect the supplies needed to fix the grate, and while his face was slightly distrat he was happy that at the very least the team had returned alive.
*Next week is finals for me, so I will not be post, though that is not much of a change from our current state, sorry about that.*
OOC: Hey there, how is your finals and Christmas going? We are still here, don't think the tread is dead. Take your time, manage whatever you need to, RL comes first:)
OOC: Finals were good did at least passing in all of them. I don't do much for the holiday's but I will be with family tomorrow. If you guys want to post feel free I will respond ASAP which may be tomorrow or the night after. Thanks for your understanding guys.
so after talking to the elder and getting some sleep sorvon grabs his stuff counts his gold and asks if anyone in his party would like to go treasure hunting with him since he thinks they might some silver or copper or maybe even gold or some magical items that they may want he invites anyone that would like to join him
(how many people do we have left that's going to post? I think only 4 )
OOC: Yeah, sorry. I kinda lost interest in my character (clerics really aren't my thing, I thought the grave cleric could maybe change that) and then the campaign. I hope it's not too inconvenient if I bow out now. Thanks all for playing and especially Vash for the work.
No problem. Years playing don't lead to a great game. I am gonna set this one on the shelf I fear. I will take a month off then work on a new evil campaign. Have the story more in my head this time before I start out. Thanks for the experience guys and I hope you drop in an application for my next game.
I would like to play in that new campaign as well:) ok with this one getting on the shelf. I'm not into divine casters anyway:) would love to try an evil campaign
yea this campaign has gone bad since most players have left the campaign or left dnd all together but for the new evil campaign I would like to join it and ill try a new style of play in it for a character im thinking of doing a paladin or fighter but by the time the campaign is here I find out what I want for a character
Yeah a number of players leaving, me as a new dm with too many players, and a lack of understanding of expectations to you guys that I failed to explain hurt us. I will work to improve the next one. Thanks and hope to see tou in the next one.
By brpther wants to join us on this one too:) we have been playing since 4 years together in our home campaign:) if we have enough we can simply start a campaign as those left here and fill in the blanks as we go if you like:)
Sure, Foalan and Kuastro. I have got the starting of the idea in mind. That being you are building some sort of organization to take over several small nations on a penusula. Does that sound fun or is there something you had in mind?
That sounds fun but will be difficult if we run the organization, as we won't be having any limits and will be too many loose ends. Us serving a big criminal organization would be better for you as you will have the strings in your hand and guide us easier if you ask me. I would be happy to do it any way you choose. If we control the group we can even become murder hobos which will be difficult to manage but if we serve then there could be criminal tenets rules or so to follow, like killing is prohibited and will be punished in some cases, or we will but don't steal kind of thing, and change it for every occation as you want. :) Still up to you:)
yea the organization campaign sound good and yes it would be difficult to run but I think it would be pretty fun and if u need any help with ideas for it we can help you.
