Branor and Braggus begin to search, and manage to find a third and hopefully final piece of paper in a small alcove, under an incense bowl. Come to think of it, you're not sure how many you need. Maybe this is enough? Who knows. Whatever the answer, you all crowd around the final piece of paper just as Roisin walks up from her little encounter. The paper reads:

"Bridge over troubled water

Tear through commoners like cannon fodder

Grow like grass and tree alike

Fire is how I lose the fight.

What am I?"

Keep in mind, you can ask to see the puzzle box you are supposed to open at any time.

Orunmila considered the final clue carefully, " I'm......not......great at these.........sorry.", she said eventually....

“Could be ice? Not really sure if that fits though. Let’s check out this puzzle box we need to open, that could give us some clues.”

Róisín starts to consider this most recent clue, nodding a little at Branor's suggestion. "Ice might let you cross the water.  Though it's less likely with turbulent - 'troubled' - water.  And fire would end it. Don't know if it grows like grass and trees." She seems skeptical that would be the answer. 

"Not that I have a better answer. A dead tree could be a bridge and ended by fire. Seems odd to say a tree grows like a tree though,"she adds. "What would go through commoners? Maybe there's a clue there?"

She then hears Branor's suggestion about the puzzle box. "Yes, a good idea. It may let us know if we need to find more riddles!"

 She pauses, her encounter with the goliath having left her notknowing what theothers might have accomplished. "Have we figured out any other riddles yet?"

Zeymira replies, "The only thing that comes to my mind is a bridge troll, but I don't think that's the answer. The riddle I found is:

'I overtake lazy guards, and old people die in me,

No mortal can escape me, though I never cause any harm

Despite my causing weakness, I am needed for your strength.

What am I?'

Braggus came up with sleep as an answer, which I like much better than what I came up with."

Orunmila nodded happily, " Definitely sleep.  The other.......I'm just coming up with bamboo........which seems wrong........"

Zeymire considers the suggested answer to the riddle, "A bridge could be made from bamboo, but is more commonly made from wood or stone. Bamboo grows like grass, since it is a grass, but not like a tree. Hmm, maybe rather than bamboo, it's 'wood', including bamboo. Wooden weapons like spears or arrows would tear though commoners, and fire would defeat either wood or bamboo."

{She does better evaluating answers than coming up with them.}

Orunmila nodded, " Wood....yes...I think that fits."

Running a hand through his braided beard, Braggus can only shrug as he listens to his companion's proposals.

"I am hoping this puzzle box will be having clues of its own," he says, affirming Branor's earlier suggestion the group take a look at the box first. "This riddle is not seeming as simple to me like the others."

“Agreed. The box should help. This riddle might not even be needed to open it.”

Orunmila suddenly recalled what the old mages had said.....something about no letting Zeymira open a box......was it this box?

She really should have paid more attention.......

She waited to see who would attempt to open the box.

Zeymira has been carrying a small box since you met her. 

Zeymira asks, "Did anyone else find a riddle?"

Róisín nods at the various suggestions. "Sun and Moon sounds about right," she says to Branor. "And Sleep for the other."  There's then a pause. "Wood... maybe? It still doesn't fit like the others though." 

“You are correct. This riddle seems to be intentionally obtuse. Once we see this box that the riddles are supposed to help open, that could give us a clue to its real answer.”
