Nate nods solemnly, not really wanting to continue deeper into this house, but knowing that uncovering its secrets could be the only path forward to escape and survival.
Unlit oil lamps are mounted on the walls of this elegant hall. Hanging above the mantelpiece is a wood-framed portrait of an obvious aristocratic family. A plaque at the bottom of the frame reads: Lord Gustav and Lady Elizabeth Durst. Standing in front of them are two smiling children who bear an uncanny resemblance to the ones you encountered outside. Cradled in Gustav's arms is a swaddled baby, which the Elizabeth regards with a hint of scorn.
Standing suits of armor flank wooden doors in the east and west walls. Each suit of armor clutches a spear and has a visored helm shaped like a wolf’s head.
The red marble staircase that started on the first floor continues its upward spiral. A cold draft can be felt coming down the steps.
Ellie stays to the back of the group as they ascend the stairs.
"Interesting painting. At least we know who to blame for this unwelcome tour, but not their ghost children. Yet. Speaking of which, looks like there's at least a third floor, too. Which direction would be right over the kitchen?"
As the spear strikes Ellie, it rebounds with a sudden spark of cold blue energy. She ducks down a step and snaps her finger, sending a bolt of eldritch energy tearing through reality at the spear that flies wide of its mark, striking the ceiling above instead.
(The spear takes 10 cold damage from Armor of Agathys. Would anyone get attacks of opportunity for it flying past them to get me? I was at the very back of the group and still on the stairs.)

"Have we checked all the doors on this floor? I don't recall seeing basement stairs."
“I believe so, and I didn’t see a basement either. Another lie from the ghost child.”
Cautiously you ascend upstairs.

Victoria looks upstairs. "I'd be interested in checking the draft myself. Before we fight the animated armor."
Suddenly the spears leap from the suits of armor and fly towards the Party.
Roll Initiative!! (Remember Initiative will be rolled each round.)
(Btw: I'm going to use the stats for a Flying Sword for the spears.)
Round 1
Animated Flying Spears:22
Initiative 5
Nathaniel - Nat 1 + 6 = 7 initiative
"That's about as close as it gets to animated armor without it actually being animated armor," Ellie says respectfully.
(Ellie - Initiative 10)
Initiative Order for Round 1.
One spear manages to get past Ellie's defenses and inflict 5 damage. (p).
Another spear thrusts at Nathanial who manages to avoid the attack.
Two of the spears attack Victoria. The Barbarian manages to block one, but the other one slips past and does 7 (p) points of damage.
(Please subtract any damage your Character takes from your hit points.)
Ellie it's your turn.
(The AC for the Spears is 17)
