Kravik watches the locusts methodically destroy another section of crops, his jaw tightening. Every moment they debate is another moment of the farmer's livelihood turning to ash.
"Now," he says quietly but firmly. Before anyone can respond, he raises one scarred hand, speaking words of power in a low, resonant tone -- a prayer to the elemental forces he's sworn to balance. Golden light flares briefly around his hand before flowing down into the arrow he's already nocking. "They're distracted. We have the advantage of surprise and range. We wait any longer, we lose both."
He draws his bowstring back, the divine energy of his oath flowing through him and into the arrow. His eyes fix on the nearest locust, tracking its erratic movements through the crops.
"Aydlott, Vulcan—pick your targets. Aim true."
Without waiting further, Kravik releases his arrow, letting it fly toward the creature.
(Bonus Action: casting Divine Favor, Action: attack with Longbow)
Attack: 19 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
If it hits, the creature also has its speed reduced by 10 feet until Kravik's next turn (Longbow Mastery: Slow).
It couldn't figure out my damage roll, probably because I don't really know how to add 2 different types of damage. So let's try them here:
Kyvir just smirks and shakes his head, turning to start to lead the tour once more.
"You don't have to apologize to me... I'm not the one you insulted... She's the one you needed to apologize to.. She's not one you want to make angry, might wake up with 3rd degree burns."
Kyvir says laughing to himself.
"You are way too proper to be out in these parts my friend... What brings you out this way?"
Tobias chuckles lightly, holding onto the showman smile. “Well then I truly hope she accepts my apology.”
He walks alongside Kyvir, hands in his pockets, eyes casually scanning the street.
He does not know how he should respond to Kyvir's question. Tobias does not trust him so he does what come naturally to him and lies.
“As for me?”
He shrugs.
"Just looking for work. Quick coin, nothing fancy.”
“Which reminds me any parts of town a newcomer ought to avoid? Places where trouble likes to linger?”
Aydlott grins crookedly. "Now it is," he says, in a hoarse whisper of his own. He lets fly a bolt from his crossbow at Kravik's target, and then steadying his aim, shoots a more carefully prepared one.
Initiative: 23
Reaction: Hair trigger to make a weapon attack. To hit: 25 (crit!) For 15 piercing damage. Advantage on next attack roll due to Vex.
Action: Shoot the bug again on his turn, with Advantage. To hit: 20 for 10 piercing damage plus 7 sneak attack damage, total 17 damage.
Kyvir thinks for a moment on his question, while he's focusing, he's trying to get a sense for if the man may be trying to hide something. Something about the overly exaggerated smile is throwing him off about him.
that came from me not knowing how the dice roller works on here LOL. I also just found out you could hover over it and don't know why there is a plus 5 either. Let me try again

ok looks like that worked correctly. modifier on deception is +3
(DM, are there any areas about town that one should avoid due to dangers?)
(OOC: Of course, as all do, this town has its dangers. Parts of the human portion might be avoided for your best interests [staying alive XD], and the faeries are peaceful...except when unwanteds come into their domain.)

Tobias, as you speak, you realize that the man is observing you curiously --- your words sound feebler to your ears, and you don't know if he'll believe you. And Kyvir, you feel...as if Tobias, although kindly, might not be telling the truth.

Silence, tranquility. The quiet whispering of the wind across the plains, the gentle buzzing of the locusts, down below, as they torch the farmer's crops. Then, Kravik's command breaks the silence. "Now."
Kravik and Aydlott nimbly let fly their bolts, readying themselves for a brawl to come. Their eyes glisten with the reflection of the gleaming steel for a second --- only a second --- and then, their arrows are in one of the creatures as it screeches in pain, greenish sap trickling out of a newly-created orifice.
It seems that the creatures will act when provoked --- two others rush to defend their wounded comrade, chittering and squeaking in some strange language. They approach, legs waving high in the air --- poised, then striking towards you. One turns towards Aydlott, and the other towards Kravik, engaging both in combat. The farmer waves his pitchfork high in the air, shouting wildly before leaping forward to help.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Kyvir shakes his head and just keeps walking, at first, he leads him towards the unfriendly part of town, but when he reaches the border, he stops.
"You know... Lying to someone who is going out of their way to help you... Isn't a great way to start a relationship..."
Kyvir's wings flare out, as if he's trying to intimidate.
"I hope we aren't getting off on the wrong foot..."
