*frick all the notifications from this have been getting buried... what's happening?*
(OOC: We had dinner with the farmer, and now his crops are being attacked by giant, firey locusts, which are now attacking us. So, Vulcan is now in a battle that maybe they didn't want... sorry.)
*That's okay. I'll roll init when I get to his sheet which I... currently cannot find.*

If I’m being annoying, tell me to shut up. Seriously. Just say “Bananer shut up.” And I will. For a few seconds!
Don’t listen to the folks down at Adohands. It’s good for me to overwork myself.
Professional idiot! Trans! Pansexual pancake! I am a minor so you will do none of that (GP) with me! I use He/They pronouns :3
(It looks like the original rolls in the post all rerolled when you edited it. Was the 24 in the quote the original roll?)
(I'm just seeing that, too. I believe it was 24. I remember seeing that and that the attack on Kravik was a 9, which is why I posted that he easily avoided it. But now the original says that one was 23, which Kravik would NOT be avoiding. It also says 22 for the attack on Aydlott, so even the reroll doesn't like Aydlott...)
(OOC: Oh, huh. I didn't realize that. Lemme change that back)

As the flaming locusts leap into defense, one of them coming straight at him, Aydlott gasps in horror, reining his horse back. The animal squeals and twists around, unfortunately allowing the slashing legs access to Aydlott's back. His leather armor absorbs some of the blow, blackening under the fire. Aydlott grits his teeth against a yell as he pivots the horse away and spurs it to escape the onslaught (on his next turn).
Kyvir shakes his head and just keeps walking, at first, he leads him towards the unfriendly part of town, but when he reaches the border, he stops.
"You know... Lying to someone who is going out of their way to help you... Isn't a great way to start a relationship..."
Kyvir's wings flare out, as if he's trying to intimidate.
"I hope we aren't getting off on the wrong foot..."
((Dice Rolls:))
Intimidation: 21 + Guidance: 2
Tobias freezes when Kyvir’s wings flare.
His smile slips away, really slips, and he instinctively takes a step back, both hands raised in surrender.
“Alright… alright. You’re right. That wasn’t fair of me.”
He breathes out slowly, eyes dropping for a moment before he forces the grin back on. Not his usual big performer grin. A smaller, tighter, slicker one.
“But let’s be honest, friend… intimidation isn’t exactly a good way to start a relationship either.”
He relaxes his posture a bit, then lowers his hands and extends one for a handshake.
“So. Let’s start over.”
“Hi. My name is Tobias Quinn… and I’m looking for someone who’s been taken.”
His smile softens into something almost real.
“That is the truth.”
As the handshake hangs between them, Tobias watches Kyvir’s face closely—every twitch, every blink, every shift in expression—checking for even the smallest reaction to his name.
(OOC: Would that be a roll, cause I don't think he has anything to do with it but my character would be suspicious of pretty much everyone)
Kyvir watches the hand for a moment and listens to each word carefully. When he feels he's telling the truth, he extends a hand and shakes it back. He wouldn't catch any hint of acknowledgement to the name however.
"Hello Tobias..."
Kyvir waits a moment, calculating what can and can't happen if he were to try and help this person. Afterall, he did start out by lying to him. After coming to a conclusion, he continues.
"I'm not a seeker... And this isn't something I would normally do.. But clearly you are in need of help, and Ember would never forgive me if I just walked away... So I'm going to help you find this... someone... What can you tell me about them?"
"Let's not make it weird okay... You won't last 5 minutes in the bad side of town. Just hang around me, try not to look too scared, we might just find something out..."
Kyvir then makes his way into the bad side of town.

Tobias is shocked, he tilts his head in a visible confusion this time no smile or smirk
"Why? Why would you help me? You just met me and I just tried to lie to you."
Tobias is genuinely confused by this, he is not use to random people just wanting to help
"What do you want in return? What's in it for you?"
"I don't want anything... I'm not doing this for you.. I'm doing this for whoever you lost..."
He then shakes his head in disbelief that someone could lose another person.

Tobias is completely taken aback.
He stares at Kyvir for a long moment.
“That’s… that’s…”
For once, words fail him. Kindness like this isn’t something he’s ever had to react to.
He clears his throat, straightens, and the familiar cunning smirk slides back into place more out of habit than confidence.
“Well, I’m not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.”
He folds his arms lightly, slipping back into controlled speech.
“Her name is Lira. Twenty-five, brown hair, about five-ten. Taken from the town of Brindleport. Last I heard, whoever took her was heading this way.”
Tobias glances down the street they were walking.
“That’s why I wanted to know the bad parts of town, figured I’d poke around after we went our separate ways.”
He gives Kyvir a nod.
“But… guess we’re not going separate ways just yet.”

Kyvir then makes his way into the bad side of town.

He chuckles a bit,
"Pal, my whole life is pretty much one large bad side of town. You are are just more familiar with this one.
Tobias falls into step beside him easily, hands in his pockets, posture casual. He looks down to ember as they walk and says in a hushed playful tone,
"He always this grumpy?"
Kyvir, with Tobias in toe, will start to ask around town if anyone has heard of someone who's gone missing. Someone by the name of Lira.
