You all squeeze through the small tunnel, that dips and rises in a few spots. At one point it seems like Bigsby is going to get stuck, but with some wiggling and some help from his allies you are all able to continue forward.
You eventually make your way into a large cavern, Stool pauses at the edge of a drop-off. He whispers, even though he's speaking telepathicaly, "This wasn't here before..."
As the rest of you emerge from the tunnel and look down over the edge, you can see down below a large field of fungus, including many kinds you've never seen before. Tending to the strange garden you see an odd mix of creatures, there are two large beetles, what appears to be a walking Zurkhwood tree, and three Drow. Two of the Drow are far away, hard to see clearly, but the closest Drow you can see is very much infected with the odd fungus you've seen. His head almost seems to be split open at the back, with odd stalks growing out.
Bigsby puts his hand on Rhogar’s shoulder and casts shield of faith “try not to be so squishy.” He turns to the rest of the party.... “we need to burn these fields and purge the sickness from these lands.”
I was thinking more about Stool's people. The walking tree and beetles may be hostile as well and there may be more out here we haven't seen. If we get the close drow dead quickly and quietly we may be able to slowly advance and take out each enemy or a couple at a time without alerting everything. Then yeah when the field is clear burn it.
Rhogar will nod to Bigsby "I think it might be time for operation NAPALM BEAR..." Rhogar will prepare to cast Dragon's breath on whoever wants it (preferably a bear but ya know) once everyone is ready to attack
***Rhogar has an AC of 15 now that he has the shield on***
*So you are up maybe 20 feet above them, there's a sheer drop in front of you, but it looks like there's a pathway down on to the lower level to your right.
The only creatures around are the ones i mentioned, no myconoid civilians. The Zurkwood and the two drow are probably over 100 feet away, the one Drow is fairly close to you and the beetles are in between. Nobody has noticed you.**
Rhogar will offer to start launching firebolts into the mushrooms in the hopes of starting a fire, and then granting fire breath to whoever wants it...
Before we start burning, do we have to cross it? We may want to burn it after if so. Also, if we can get a sneak attack in before the fireworks start it may give us a good advantage. At some point though yeah, light it up, only question is when.
**you have currently gone unnoticed. Earlier Stool took you off the path to come this way because its the way he knows, but you could go back to the path, but you don't know where it goes.**
Garruk holds his hands up to stop Rhogar. “Your pyrotechnics may come in use later, but for right now, our advantage is suprise. If we can silence the enemies one at a time, then we have a much easier time of it. Wait on the fireballs and the dragon’s breath for now.” He then looks to Recwyin. “I’m willing to attempt to sneak up on the enemy, but I follow your lead.” He prepares tiger form for if the ranger goes sneaking off into the grove.
Recwyin also follows
Bigsby follows happily picking the most outstanding looking fungus and putting it in his pockets for later.
True to his word, Garruk stays close to Stool, intending to see him home safely.

(As long as Lucky can get through, he will happily stay with his companions.)

Stealth 18
Whispering Shit, Stool is there a way around this? If not we need to keep everything at bay. I don't want to get infected.

Purge yes, but we don't want to burn innocent locals if we can help it.
“That may be, but there’s nothing innocent about these. I say we defeat the Drow, destroy the infecting fungus, and move on.”

*how far away are they?*

Take out the first drow, then the beetles, work up to the other 3 targets then burn the whole area? What do y'all think.

*so to our current knowledge we don't HAVE to go through the mushrooms, we can stay on the ledge and go around? *
