Berlyn looks quizzically at Emanuel as he grabs two of the healing potions, then shrugs. She turns J'Sahriel, "You should hold on to the other. I'm sure you'll help me out if it comes down to it." She makes a mental note to remember to learn the word of healing in the future.
"Should we just put the rest of the gear in the bag to use when the need comes up?" She asks the others. "I can carry it."
Interested in seeing a d'Cannith at work, she turns to watch the operation.

"You implied that Lyn and I don't need these goggles..." she pauses for a moment to pick up and examine the object in question. "Why is that? I understand they're probably magical, but what exactly do they do?"
She slips the goggles on and looks through them, ostensibly trying to figure out how they work.
"Oh, these are Goggles of Night. They allow those without the ability to see in darkness to do just that. Up to a similar degree that your kind and Dwarves and such are capable of. Though, they do also enhance pre-existing darkvision by a small degree as well."

"Sorry, Riel...They would help us see farther in dim light, though." Berlyn feels bad for depriving her friend of such an item. "I'm sure Lily and Emmanuel will share..." She gives the humans a cautionary look.
Having, for the most part, regained him composer; Emanuel motions for Lily to get the item. "I've worked enough starless Sharn nights above the reach of her light to hold my own in the darkness. I should be fine."
As the conversation about the goggles unfolds, Beatrix is hard at work with wand in hand. Whatever she's casting seems similar to mending, but on a much larger scale. Parts of Trigger's innermost hand, wrist, and arm become exposed in the process, revealing that under the armored plating are root-like veins interwoven to look much like muscle fiber. "Beauty, isn't he?"Beatrix comments to anyone watching. "The Warforged are truly a marvel of creation!"
It would appear to anyone who rolls a trained arcana of 10 or better that Beatrix is installing the coil and other parts in harmony with what Trigger already possesses. Magic flows like honey from the tip of the wand in a vibrant blue color as she traces over joints and muscle. The liquid-like magic flashes with reds and purples long after it leaves the wand as she seems to be mouthing an incantation of some kind. Finally, she reattaches the plating.
"Alright, Trig, now don't go knocking out innocent bystanders on accident! The trick to this gadget is that you set a keyword, it can be any word you'd like and it only works when you want it to work and when you say the word in conjunction with the desire. In short, don't think about it too hard," Beatrix slams a fist down on Trigger's right hand and nods to Trigger to say the keyword he would like to use.

Trigger seems to freeze for a few seconds as he looks at his arm. He then shifts ever so slightly to ensure his hand is not pointed at anyone before saying,
"Reach."

Trigger experiences a strange sensation. He feels his plant fibers flex and shift. A click in his wrist. Suddenly his hand flies. As it moves, Trigger sees that his hand is now attached only by a cable that seems to become root-like after Beatrix's tinkering. As his hand soars, Trigger can tell he can still manipulate all the joints in his hand.
BAM!
His hand punches a crater into one of the walls in the shop, but when he looks over at Beatrix all he can see are stars in her eyes.
"Perfection!"
Trigger's Reach (Right) Range: 20 ft. Proficient: Yes If used for a punch, use unarmed statistics. Can grab objects, but can't grapple a guy. Offers advantage on any checks meant to scale structures.

Lily watches Eman's humor with a satisfied smirk, holding back the chuckle that really wants to escape her lips as she gratefully takes one of the healing potions. Her smirk starts to turn into a carnal grin at Eman's obvious embarrassment at Trigger's faux pas. "Why, Eman, are your cheeks so flushed?" She giggles as she slips her arm into the crook of his. "The Maxwells..." She says aloud, musing as to how she feels about it. "Just trying it on for size, Eman." She winks as him, but before much more of that can go on there comes the discussion about the goggles. "We can most definitely share these! By no means am I spoiled. Although, I'm more likely to be keeping to the shadows and at a distance should a fight come our way."
I've been extremely busy with work this week and my attention has been very divided. I'm on day 7 of a 10 day stretch of work without a day off and will be working two doubles back to back Monday and Tuesday. So I may be a little scatterbrained or slow on my posts for a few days.

Trigger still stands utterly still, but responds back to Berlyn.
"With you and Miss Moran being Khoravar, I suggest that one of the Maxwells should use the goggles to help in low-light areas."

Emanuel's already red face, just got redder. He takes a few moments to reset himself and so doesn't reply.
"You implied that Lyn and I don't need these goggles..." she pauses for a moment to pick up and examine the object in question. "Why is that? I understand they're probably magical, but what exactly do they do?"
She slips the goggles on and looks through them, ostensibly trying to figure out how they work.
"Of course, Trigger. Good call." She hands the goggles to Lily as Emanuel seems a bit preoccupied.

"Oh..." J'Sahriel says slowly at Trigger's explanation as Berlyn snatches the goggles away from her before she can really even get a feel for them.
"O...okay, yeah, I guess it would make sense for Eman or Lily to use them then..."
Her shoulders sag a bit as she steps back away from the others tools, folding her arms in front of her with a glum look.
"Sorry, Riel...They would help us see farther in dim light, though." Berlyn feels bad for depriving her friend of such an item. "I'm sure Lily and Emmanuel will share..." She gives the humans a cautionary look.
"Nah, it's...it's okay," J'Sahriel responds slowly. "They need it more than me..."
Despite her words, she does give the goggles another longing glance.

J'Sahriel raises an eyebrow about at the thought of Lily spending more time in the shadows, but doesn't say anything.
