(Silly old bear)

The goblin shopkeeper cries in alarm as Amaruve goes full Monica at Thanksgiving on that pot. Luckily (or not, depending on your point of view), it wasn't filled to the brim, but there's still quite a lot of honey to be had. A young tiefling couple and an elderly aarakocra wearing a monocle and top hat laugh as the goblin tries in vain to pull Amaruve out by his shiftweave pants. Defeated, he places his hands on his hips and glares at the bear, tapping his foot angrily and waiting for him to have his fill.

The other goblins working at the fondue counter shake their heads and smile as they go about the business of filling your plates and tankards. One of the goblins rushes over to clear a large wooden table to the side of the tent that seems just about big enough for all of you. 

Kyo looks a little frustrated, but nods his head curtly in agreement. He can hold off Vasht for a few minutes more.

"Well, I think we've earned this. I say we enjoy it while we can. Maybe after we've had our fill we can try our hand at some of those games over there? This place just seems so friendly, it's hard not to want to have some fun. Nothing like those slag pits we labored in for weeks however many leaps ago..." Perspicacious trails off, trying to shake the memory and focus on the present. And presently there was a delicious looking fondue being placed in front of her, with all of the fixings to go along with it.

The table is surprisingly private, wedged as it is between two tents. The sounds of the fair wash over you as you enjoy a brief moment of peace

As the group is enjoying the fine fair cuisine, a little goblin girl has taken to playing on Amaruve. A gruffer looking goblin who was speaking to the owner seems to have taken notice and makes his way over. Wearing a bowlers hat, some pinstrip pants with suspenders, and a simple jacket over a shirt, the goblin looks like he could pass for some sort of gangster. However, his face definitely shows the signs of being a boxer. The goblin chuckles, “You’ll ‘ave to excuse my little sister, she can be quite the handful. She’s never seen a bear in a tux before, though neither ‘ave I to be fair.” He extends a hand to the nearest person, “Lil’ Big Tony, a pleasure. My family owns this fine establishment.”

Amaruve turns quickly like he's chasing his tail. Playing like he's trying to throw the girl, but being careful not to succeed.

(Agh, what's he doing here! =P )

Lil’ Big Tony catches a glance at the bear again, “He’s, eh... very well trained.”

(You can’t escape me, BD! I am everywhere! Haha)

Jean smiled at her comrades, glad for once to not be surrounded by terror and the threat of death, as she plunked down the coins and sat before the bowl of melted cheese. Her table manners were less than ladylike, but it was obvious that she was enjoying herself. When the strangely dressed goblin showed up Jean took his hand in a firm grip and shook it. "Well met, Mr. Tony, I'm Jean, Jean O'Donoghue. May I introduce my comrades? To my right is the inestimable Perspicacious, the brains of this outfit, the cute one with the attitude to my left is Cordelia Luna and you've already met Amaruve."

Perspicacious quirks an eyebrow at the goblin, looking him up and down, trying to get an idea of his intentions. (Insight: 11) 
"He's not well trained, he's intelligent, so your sister is in good hand..er, paws. You run a fine establishment here, Tony. If you don't mind me asking, we're new to town, and I was wondering if you could tell us the occasion for this festival?"

Kyo clears his throat and gives Jean a little side-eye at her omission. "And I'm Kyo. Forgive me, little goblin, but did you say that your family owns this tent? We've been to a lot of places, but I've never heard of goblins living alongside other folk like this."

(Tony, assume these questions come at a reasonable pace and not piled atop one another. Can you also roll Perception and arcana for Tony?)

“A pleasure to meet each an’ every one of you. I don’t believe that I’ve seen you all around here before, and I make sure that I know people. Are you all new to this part of the city.”

 He’s definitely trying to get a grasp of your intentions. You get the feeling that people having weird bears is out of the ordinary. Lil’ Big Tony smiles, “Of course! The festival is a celebration of all that this city has accomplished... At least, I think that’s what its about. Really, I just focus on the drinking.”

 The goblin blinks, “Did... did that cat just talk? Ok, lemme just process that... anyway, I don’t know what you mean by that. The Tony family is just about the biggest family there is around these districts. We own much more than a tent, little guy. You see, we’re very philanthropically inclined. From firearms to steam engines, if it ain’t our business, we make it our business. Been this way for a couple of decades now.

“Ah, you’ll ‘ave to excuse me. I’m just not used to seeing a young Tabaxi like him being so well versed in speaking. My compliments to whoever taught him.” The goblin gives a wary glance to the cat.

Jean gave a little yelp and start. "Oh! There you are." She chuckled at Kyo.

"Don't worry about it!" Kyo purrs. "It's always nice to make new friends. Speaking of which," he gives a meaningful glance to the others at the table, "our other friend will be joining us shortly, so..."
