Necyra’s glowing eyes light up at Etriel’s joke, and she lets out a manic, whistling giggle that echoes a bit too loudly for a stealthy mission.
"Ha! Better or worse? Probably crunchier!" she chirps, her star-freckles swirling in a frantic dance. "I’ll take the lizard over the glitter any day. At least with a dragon, you know where the teeth are. Fey? They’ll turn your toes into mushrooms just for lookin' at 'em funny."
She zips forward, hovering just behind Doc JoJo as he chuckles, watching his feet with intense focus. "Look at the Doc! He’s laughin'! I knew there was a heart beatin' under all those bandages and tracking. We’re gonna get along just fine, my friendly little bloodhound!"
As the group pushes further into the dark tunnel, she pulls her knees up to her chest mid-air, floating like a ball of purple hair and black wings.
"If we’re stealin' a meal, I hope it’s still kickin'. Cold leftovers are a real bummer, and I got a feelin' our clanky fellow has a lot of kick left in 'im."
Ashlass reviews her spell list with a slight frown. She knows a few spells that could potentially shut a dragon down—but she prepared none of them, expecting a fight with mind flayers.
“Hopefully what I’ve got will be enough.”
@Necyra
The red tiefling turns her gaze to the newcomer.
“So, Necyra… what’s your interest in the dragon? Why go after the world’s greediest lizard with us?”
Necyra tilts her head at an impossible angle, her star-freckles swirling. "Interest? I’m here ‘cause of the drain, Red. When the world starts feelin’ like it’s about to be flushed, I head toward the noise. This tunnel? It’s the loudest drain I’ve ever heard."
She does a lazy backflip, wings snapping once. "Better to face a daymare with a crowd than alone in my shanty. And don't sweat your spells...if the lizard gets close, I’ve got imaginary friends with very real teeth to keep him busy."

OOC: I forgot to post this!
Ashlass nods.
“Okay… I understand.”
The new tiefling is clearly unhinged—her words barely make sense. And yet, Ashlass can’t shake the strange pull of sympathy.
“I kill monsters too. It’s how I make a living.”
Or maybe it’s something else.
Proof that she isn’t one of them. That she isn’t a stain on a world that never wanted her.
Etriel Darastrix nods to Ashlass and prepares herself as well: just before entering she again casts Blink and activates her Innate Sorcery again.
'A dragon' the Eladrin Huntress thinks. 'I've inherited some draconic traits from my childhood friend, but the creature we're about to face is the real thing—a true dragon. It will undoubtedly be... an interesting prey.'
As the party stares into the lair, they see a large open space (120 feet across and wide, height unknown) with a ledge five feet above the back end of the lair and a dark, red fog covering everything. The dragon unseen. But on the ledge sits a cage containing Musashi, unconscious. With a small figure standing in front of it.
Necyra hovers near Gail, Doc JoJo, and Etriel, her star-freckles glowing with a sudden, fierce intensity. She reaches out, her fingers trailing purple sparks that sink into their skin like warm embers. "Hold onto your hats kids" she whispers with a manic grin. "I'm pumpin' you full of extra stay-alive juice. Don't go spendin' it all in one place, cause the drain is gettin' real hungry."
Necyra casts Aid @ 5th level on Gail, Doc JoJo, and Etriel, giving you each 20 additional temp hit points.
As the magic takes hold, the three of you feel a sudden surge of vitality...your spirits bolstered and your bodies toughened for the fire to come.
[[OOC: Regarding Aid, it's better than temp hit points... Temporarily increases Maximum HP and Current HP.]]
As the magic takes hold and Etriel Darastrix feels a sudden surge of vitality, she gives Necyra a grateful smile, then flies (thanks to her magical boots) and tries to get closer to the cage, trying to figure out what the nearby figure is... and whether it represents a guardian or some other danger.
'Our friend looks like he's playing a double role...' Eladrin Huntress thinks. 'Not just food, but bait too!'
The Foreign Traveler also assesses if, by getting close enough, she would be able to touch Musashi by extending her arm inside the cage. Of course, if the figure takes hostile action, she stops approaching and instead strikes it down from a distance.
Doc JoJo, closes his eyes for a 1/2 second and mentally prepares for what is about to happen. He silently prays please don't let my nonexperience with dragons get the better of me. I let you take the reins of my monk & cleric skills to guide me.
JoJo whispers a "thank you" to Necyra "for the boost in vitality."
Doc JoJo actually grins and make a low chuckle sound as he flits around tracking.

Perhaps the girl is the same.
Or perhaps… she isn’t.
Ashlass signals her companions before they rush into the dragon’s lair.
“Give me a couple of minutes. I need to prepare before we enter the dragon’s chamber.”
First Ashlass casts Arcane Eye for scouting.
Then She will ritual cast Leomund's Tiny Hut at the entrance of the lair.
OOC: I assume she's casting the hut with all of us inside so that we have some where to retreat to?
Etriel Darastrix nods to Ashlass and prepares herself as well: just before entering she again casts Blink and activates her Innate Sorcery again.

Gail comments, "Hmm, this looks like it's going to be difficult."
OOC: That’s right!
Doc JoJo squints at the figure trying to see who or what is the small figure is.

“I’d bet on my father’s hooves that this red smoke is nothing good.”
Ashlass narrows her eyes and sends the Arcane Eye 30 feet forward, probing the red smoke and the small figure beside Musashi.
