(OoC: Using the Battle Medic trait of his Healer feat, he can: "... expend one use of a Healer's Kit (he still has 6 uses) to tend to a creature within 5 feet... That creature can expend one of its HP Dice, and you then roll that die. The creature regains a number of HP equal to the roll +2." - If needed, ie if Miri has more than superficial injuries, he will use a kit. Since I don't know what HD Miri has, @DM, you'll have to do the roll)
As he does, he'll speak in a low voice to her, "Next time you go ashore, let the rest of us know." Halpsays it simply. A fact. Not up for debate.
Sólmyrkvi's family ran a farm back in Midgard, so his only experience with wolves involves how they can attack unprotected livestock, like the goats mentioned yesterday. When he gets a chance, he asks Miri, "Were you attacked by the wolf? Or did you go hunting for it specifically?"
If Miri says that she was specifically hunting the wolf, he politely compliments her skill. But he also finds it a little odd. He's no hunter himself, but he thought that hunters usually looked for deer or boars or large birds.
If Miri says that she was attacked, he asks her what she was tracking when it attacked her. What led her into the wilderness? In his experience, wolves don't pose much of a threat to humans unless the human is alone, and the wolves are very hungry. But then he also remembers the black bear that charged into the market in their settlement yesterday. He silently wonders what makes the animals in this new land so aggressive.
Leif you get to work (add a wolf pelt and 2 days worth of rations to your inventory) as Miri answers, "The tracks did not belong to this beast. It was tamed by another. A man I think but..." she pauses for a moment to consider her words and shakes her head.
Halp you see to her wounds and give your instruction, the kit is not needed but she does appear grateful. "As you wish." she answers simply with a nod.
Sólmyrkvi when you ask your questions she resumes her train of thought, "No, like I said the tracks were... human." she does not sounds convinced by that last word, "I followed and they circled back around behind me and attacked. The wolf was with him. He set it on me. I fought them both, killed the wolf and wounded him. These are his weapons."
She drops the spear and net to the deck for you all to examine.
Leif offers the hide and wolf meat back to Miri in tribute for her bravery and fierceness in battle. “This evening, over a celebratory fire, I would be honored to prepare the meat for you and with whomever you wish to share this largess. Also, perhaps we can fashion a cloak out of this pelt so that you may blend in even easier to the scenery we’re exploring.”
Leif hopes with his Mending spell and the talents and tools from the rest of the party, this can be accomplished.
”Were the tracks old that lead you away from the ship? Or were they laid during our watch last night?” Leif can’t be sure that he was the guilty party for falling asleep, but he surely feels that it happened on his watch. He is hoping against hope that the tracks were more than 12 hours old when found.

”I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.” - Douglas Adams
Sólmyrkvi notices her hesitation in describing the "human" attacker, but he lets her finish her story. He says, "Oh! Thank you," when Miri hands over the spear and net. He does not examine them right away, but he says, "You should really let Father Halp help you get cleaned up." While she washes off the blood (hers and her opponents') and hopefully allows Halp to bandage her wounds, Sólmyrkvi tries to keep her talking about the encounter and fight. "After Ragnarök, I'm not sure what gods listen to us, but I would offer them thanks for watching over you, Miri. You're clearly more than a simple scout: you fought off a man and this wolf at the same time! I'm impressed! Once we return to the camp, perhaps the skald will be interested in turning your heroic fight into a song! But you must tell us all about it..."
Sólmyrkvi will let Miri tell the whole story of her fight in detail, but if she's reluctant or doesn't provide much additional information, he'll keep asking questions to get her to provide as much detail as he can. He's careful to keep it a casual conversation, not an interrogation, letting one question flow naturally to another or asking for more detail based on something she says. But he's really trying to learn more about the "man" who attacked her and apparently had a wolf at his command. He's trying to learn:
What did the "man" look like? Skin and hair color? Length of hair? Clean-shaved or bearded? How was he dressed, and did he wear armor? Did he wear boots or shoes or go barefoot?
When Miri was attacked, did the man or wolf appear first? Did the man say anything to her either before or during the fight (even if he spoke a foreign language)?
Miri said that she wounded the man. With what weapon? Where did she strike him?
When did the man flee? When she wounded him? When she killed the wolf?
How did she get the man's weapons? Did he throw them down when he fled? Or were these just the weapons that he had thrown at her, and he did not have time to gather them before he fled?
Did the man appear to communicate with the wolf in any way? That is, did it just attack her like a loyal guard dog? Or was it responding to the man's commands in some way?
Skill check, if needed, to keep Miri talking and coax details from of her. Persuasion: 22 (in game log, rolled with advantage since I assumed that Miri is friendly with the party)
Once Sólmyrkvi exhausts what Miri can or is willing to tell them about her fight, he again congratulates her on her victory.
Sólmyrkvi avoids Leif's work with the wolf carcass: he never liked the messy business of butchering animals. It's the type of chore he routinely avoided when he lived on the farm. He instead takes a look at the spear and net that Miri brought back. He has heard that the raiders in Midgard sometimes found "wild men" on isolated islands who used tools and weapons made from bone instead of metal. He wants to see what these these weapons are made from and whether they seem like primitive tools, the work of skilled artisans, or something stranger, like the summoned "pact weapon" that Sólmyrkvi was using last week.
Investigation: 10, or 13 for the net (in game log, I rolled a second time for the net since Sólmyrkvi's proficiency with Weaver's Tools should give him advantage when analyzing nets.)
Halpappreciates the briefness of his conversation with Miri. Simple is always... simplest.
As the day goes on and they travel he'll drop by whoever he sees need it and offer Guidance (+ a d4 to their skill test - so, for instance as he watches Sólmyrkviattempt to cajole extra detail from Miri, he can add a d4 to that - @DM allowing, of course).
This whole endeavor is strange to Kora. Was Miri really attacked by the wolf and his man? Did this man have anything to do with the goats? The goats were obviously aware of the wolves and she was curious if there was any connections here.
She also noted the hesitation in human when Miri described the attacker. She watches closely as Sol continues to question her.
Insight 16
Finally, she'll walk over to the captain, "Does this sort of thing with Miri happen often?"

“Well done, Miri. Was this one you were tracking or one that was hunting you? The Captain says there were tracks at our last rest.”
Leif offers to help field strip the animal of fur and meat on shore rather than messing up the deck. More knives make short work.
