Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh

"It definitely looks like Esme could use some help," Darixa replies to Seri's comment. She steps closer to the black-haired woman, even as she eyes Cook's appearance and then retreat. But after just a moment her attention is fully on Esme. "Alright, how are you doing dear?" she asks, her voice soft as she tries to be calming.  She sees the blood all over her, and knows she's probably disturbed by that. But her attention goes first to actual injuries. Touching her on the shoulder she sings lightly as she casts Cure Wounds. (Healing 14 hp.) 

'Mend the spirit, cool the pain,
Let the body bloom again.'

The young Rhennee seems frozen in place, only shuddering at first as she feels the warm touch of the tanned girl, then slowly sinking to the floor while sobbing quietly, barely able to offer Darixa a brief look of sincere gratitude over her care, but still saying nothing as she sits on the floor with her knees drawn up to her chest.

Time passes the ghost does not manifest, Cook well, he catches his breath while everyone takes a moment.  When the moment has passed how would everyone like to proceed?

Seri spares a concerned glance, first for Cook, and then for Esme, neither of whom seem to be at their best currently.  However, she trusts Darixa, or perhaps Brynn, to comfort the Rhenee woman more than any reference to the Wave Father's wild power would, and she suspects Cook would just gruffly deny any discomfiture anyway if she brought it up, so she leaves off for now.

Since no one else does it, she prays for Procan's guidance (twice) and pads along the attic floor carefully, avoiding any broken or rotten parts if she can, to retrieve Cook's cloak and inspect anything else there, including the chest (which she checks for being locked or possibly trapped).

Seri's Perception plus Guidance to avoid any unstable or rotten sections of attic floor:  12 + 1 = 13

Seri's Investigation plus Guidance (recast) to investigate the chest and other ghost girl belongings:  10 + 3 = 13

(If she finds nothing of interest, she retrieves the cloak and carefully makes her way back down out of the attic, ready to continue exploring the house.)

Seri finds a doll wrapped in Cook’s cloak.  The chest has a tiny tea set a children’s book 2 candles an obviously (to Seri) fake pink pearl necklace one not fake pearl by itself.  And hidden behind the chest a short broom.  There are also remains here small dry bones…
