A Casual Venture Into Another Timeline…

Kiki says "we need to follow?  OK."  Starts to walk to join the group walking away.

Saul is sitting on the floor gauges hooked up reading the psi off the fridge, “yeah she has a leak, your system if flat and I don’t carry jugs of R-12 anymore.”

He gets up puts away his tools with a sad look on his face.  “Well let’s hope dealing with a planet stealing wizard goes better than this old equipment.”

Kiki looks at Saul and says, "Shouldn't we bring some jugs of R-12 just incase the only working one fails?  Redundancy of systems is a great thing.  It is a key point of risk mitigation.  Bad risk mitigation equals death. so shouldn't we get this operation to find the R-12?"

Aaand while we’re at it that’s going to cost extra for services rendered.  We're talking time and material so let’s say 50 gp per hour minimum 1 hour…

Kiki looks at Francis, "can you and your people and Havamus  get us some jugs of R-12 and a...ah..." looks at Saul, then back to Francis, "ah that tank Saul says we need?"

Francis says, “Indeed.”

within moments many more humanoid fish load the requested item into the ship.

Kiki says thank you to each individual that loads the requested goods.

Turning to Saul when the R-12 arrives, "Are able to fix that other system now?  Do you need anything else?  Should we get anything else loaded?  I am a bit clueless on the details of what we should and what we need."

"Aye"

“Yes R-12 and acetylene for my torch.” Saul quickly pressurizes the system locates the leak, fires up his torch, brazes the bad joint.  Vacuums the system them weighs in a charge of R-12 careful not to overcharge in fear of short cycling the high limit switch.  Delicate balance on these older fridges ya know.

”AYE that should do it.”  The fridge hums to life frost forming at the back, “perfection!”

Kiki is walking around the ship getting himself familiar with the layout of it.  trying to determine the navigation system and weaponry systems is simple enough that even a barbarian caveman can figure out how to use it.  In his walking around, Kiki was noticing the work Saul was doing.   When the fridge  hummed to life and it seem to be pass the short term test, Kiki turned toward Saul, "Glad we are working together, nice eFFing job."  

Turning to Francis, "Now that we have two fridges, can we get additional food and medicines and cure potions loaded up?"

Francis says, “we didn’t order them, and delivery would take 12 years.”

Jinx mumbles an "Aye", while gaping, looking around the ship at things he really doesn't yet understand.

Saul finds a bunk to claim then a locker, he tosses his pack in the locker and his tools in his room.  Next stop he checks on the general ship logs looking for the jobs everyone hates that still should be done, then he gets to work.

When the fridge  hummed to life and it seem to be pass the short term test, Kiki turned toward Saul, "Glad we are working together, nice eFFing job."  

“Thanks if you notice anything else neglected or shut down please let me know.  Also my names Saul nice to be on mission with you too!”

Kiki looks for a place to bed down and store his stuff. 

Rascal wanders about to find a warm, high-up spot to call his own. He watches the others move about. He naps. 

Francis peers into the ship,

”good luck all!”

he closes the door and seals it. This is now the point of no return.

Saul finishes changing filters cleaning coils checking amp draws on motors static pressure in supply and return ducting.  He adjusts fresh air damper offsets and assesses fuel consumption.  He pulls a couple schematics and looks over past change outs and recommendations.  He falls asleep a manual in hand and half a tuna sandwich on his nightstand.
