Yasei heads to the arena to cheer for Rosli as she kicks Lance's ass.

[Sorry for the late replies guys, work just started back up]

Lance approaches the pit and leaps in. A loud roar from the crowd bellows around the echibition hall. He smiles charasmatically, before looking towards Rosli, his eyes narrowing. You feel a change in his aura, like he's entering a different state, a different personality, a zone of concentration.

He gives a firm forearm shake and pulls Rosli in close and whispers "I'd say let the best man win, but... you're not even human." with a surprising look of distain on his face, he turns and distances himself from you, flourishing his ornamental glaive.

Lance has no personal wealthy items on his person, he's come here for one reason and that is to fight. He wields the same long glaive polearm you faught against before, fancy fighting leathers and a half cape over his shoulder. With a 22, you notice a jade bead wristband and a thin silver necklace chain, but that's about it. The floor is the same as before- a thin layer of sand on top of compressed ground/ stone.

As Rosli backs up to take her stance she will be taken a back "I'm not a man either."

Rosli will stumble forward toward Lance before "tripping" into him, headbutting directly into the face then firing two open palms into his chest.

With Rosli off fist, she tumbles forward- once again, forgetting the range Lance has on his polearm! As you enter his reach, you are swiftly reminded with a jab to the face; hit: 16 dmg: 6

Due to the swerving nature of your performance- the crowd erupts in a cheer as Rosli stumbles in- seemingly pissed off her face. The Nat 20 performance means that your first attack which missed, hits instead! Even Lance doesn't know what to think!

Two solid hits and and you're feeling cocky- whoops! You step on your tail with a Nat 1, leaving you open for Lance's next attack!

He takes a moment to ready himself. A faint green aura surrounds him healing him for 10 HP. He then spirals around, attacking low, with a sweeping strike! Hit 21 Dmg: 10 If hit, make a DC13 STR save or be knocked prone.

As Rosli begins to stand up she will fire a kick into his groin then throat almost walking up him before spinning when onto her feet and adding an elbow into his side.

Attack: 9 Damage: 8 Kick 1

Attack: 18 Damage: 8 FoB Kick 2

Attack: 26 Damage: 11 FoB Elbow

Yasei cheers wildly, surprising all of those around her as she's usually the silent, timid one.

Reacting quickly, Lance parries one of the attacks, reducing the damage by 3 he stumbles backwards, dazed from the fluidity of Rosli’s attacks. He spits blood on the ground and grimaces, before attacking again with a fast thrust of the glaive. He knows this fight’s downto the wire. This may be his last chance. Hit: 6 dmg 4 and as a bonus action in a last ditch effort, jabs with the butt of the glaive also. Hit 14 dmg 7. He looks very spent.

Rosli goes off to slumber city (population her).

Ooc: someone check this guy for illicit substances.

Yasei: "Maybe he should take up calligraphy instead of fighting?"

I guess the cat's out of the bag. I mean arena.

Danica raises an eyebrow. "See how he's moving? She almost had it. If he hadn't rallied with those last two blows Rosli would have won. Though did anyone notice the green aura?"

Yasei is still grinning ear to ear at Rosli, as the healers scramble out onto the arena floor to attend to her pin cushioned body.  "I am very proud of Rosli-san. Hiding like a turtle in a shell is not living at all. A true warrior must have heroic courage. It is absolutely risky. It is living life completely, fully and wonderfully. Heroic courage is not blind. It is intelligent and strong. Rosli-san is a true warrior."

Hanging off the two healers still sporting a smile Rosli will give a thumbs up towards her friends

OOC: Does Rosli know if Lance lives in the guild?

Yeah, two hooded healers in robes and beads rush over to Rosli to stabilise her and heal her to 5hp. They then see to Lance as well (on 2HP. If not for parry you had him last round!)

He raises his glaive in the air and gives another flourish to the crowd who cheer in support! The Goblin booms his voice over the arena, announcing Lance as the reclaimer of the title!

Rosli sees Lance give a look of concern towards Rosli. But once seeing her thumbs up, he continues stoking the crowd.
