Masters of Eothia 1-20

"I like that idea." Cora smiled. "Let's do it."

She begins to walk slowly in the direction of the humanoid.

Yasei projects her voice backwards, away from the mystery humanoid. “Helloooooooo?  Anybody here?  Hellooooooooo?”

You see the short man jump a little. He reels around, brandishing a spear with red runes carved up it's body.

"Who- what? How did you get here?" He says. He doesn't look aggressive, more surprised.

You see a middle aged gnome in front of you, with jet black hair, a green cape and a well groomed beard.

"We walked." Cora says, holding up her hands. "Hello! I'm Cora. This is Dani, Yasi, and Artichoke." pointing to each person accordingly.

(Bobo isnt there currently so the gnome looks at the empty space next to you, puzzled.)

He sets his spear down, butt end on the ground. "Ruxio." He says, with a roll on the R. "Didn't expect any company in here! Middle of the wastes. From the city I suppose?"

Yasei walks into the open area, bows, and introduces herself “Konnichiwa, I am named Yasei no ōkiddo. I apologize for entering your abode unannounced, but a major sand storm forced us here to seek shelter.”

"No, please, please, come in. This is not MY abode as much as it is yours! Last thing you want to do is get caught out in a storm like this." He waves towards his little seating arrangement and offers a waterskin to each of you. His 'pizza' smells absolutely to DIE for, after how little you've consumed over the past days.

"Perhaps you can join me on my hunt?"

Cora looks at where she pointed Artichoke to be, and startles violently. What th-? She shrugs.

"Oh my god, is that pizza??" Cora says, nearly drooling.

"Help youselv--" he starts before Cora jumps at it.

"These caves are said to hold a hidden oasis." He says. "I'm hunting a rare Desert Lotus which is rumoured to reside here."

Cora nearly chokes while eating. "Oh my God thith ith tho good..!"

He laughs and offers the rest to you all. His laugh fades as he looks you over too, and notices how malnourished you all are.

"Been stuck out here for a while, haven't you all?"

Cora took a rough swallow. "I have no idea. I have no memory of my life before I woke up in the sand."

Danica chuckled as Cora dove at the pizza. She bowed to Ruxio and replied "Thank you for your hospitality." before trying a slice herself.

Cora twisted her head and gave Dani a very pleased look as if to say how delicious the food was. She had no idea how much she normally weighed, so the though of being too thin didn't cross her mind - but the lack of fat on her body only made her look more cut, and she admired how she looked and could slowly feel her strength returning.

"Yeth." She thaid between bites. "Thankths!"

"This storm won't be passing for a while yet!" He says, looking like he has some experience and knowledge of the terrain in this area. "Would you care to join me for a stroll in the caverns? I've made it this far from my Guild on the West coast- shame if I let my target slip from my grasp now."

(Was on my phone earlier, here is Ruxio:)

"Sure, why not" Cora says, taking another piece of "pizza". "One for the road." She smiles sheepishly.

Ruxio begins to pack up his small camp (waiting for Riv and Merlin)

Danica finished up and nodded. "Sure, it'd be interesting to see what's in here anyhow."

After befriending Ruxio, you rest with some pizza and take a short rest. After which, you all feel like you have your second wind!

Earlier:

Yasei looks inquisitively at Ruxio, trying to gage his truthfulness (Insight: 10). “Tell me more of your quarry?  I am a hunter, of sorts, as well.  I’m always up for a good challenge!”

Later:

She pats her full belly, appreciative of the food and drink that Ruxio provided. Suddenly, she stopped padding her soft stuffed belly, remembering something. She quickly sat upright, sprung to her feet, and ran back to the entrance of the rock outcropping. Reappearing a minute later, she had a HUGE chunk of the beast they recently felled slung over her shoulder. Sheepishly grinning, she explains to Ruxio that they were instructed to slay this beast as it would provide material for rudimentary armor for all of them. Asking, “Perhaps, good sir, you might assist us in crafting usable armor from the hide of this beast?”
