You guys go for a stroll down the road. The sun is beating down and the town seems busy. A gust of wind whips through the street, sending sand stinging any exposed parts of your skin and clothes flap on the lines of family houses. You see a small girl, only about twelve years old finish hanging some washing before heading inside a hut.
It was hot, and the sand scratched her skin. It should have been uncomfortable, but for a strange reason, it wasn't too bad. She was already tan, which gave her a clue she probably spent a lot of time outdoors.
She stopped for a moment. She looked at herself and noticed she was wearing something that wasn't appropriate for this land. Another piece of the puzzle that confused her about herself. As the sun beat down, she decided to cool off a bit, and unclipped her cloak, unbuttoned her shredded armor. She held it all in front of her, a puzzled look on her face. Why would I be wearing all of this? The clothing seemed to be so weathered, and beat up. She carefully cut her pants to make them shorts, and cut her top's sleeves off and made the front more revealing to give it more breathing room. She looked at the clothing she had left over, and found a place to toss it aside. She looked at the clothing for a few more moments, and then continued to walk. Eventually, they found the girl.
"Excuse me." Cora say, smiling, nicely. "Hi. I'm Cora. Are you the one that's supposed to bring Joe his lunch? He sent us here to see if you had it, or what's the deal?"
Yasei to the young girl: “It is a wretched thing that the young children of today are so contriving and so proud of their material possessions. Children with contriving hearts are lacking in duty. Lacking in duty, they will have no self-respect. What is your duty, child?”
"O-ohh, what a... are you a princess?" She asks, all wide eyed.
"Mmm-m-my duty? I'm just helping my mum get better r-right now." She says, pulling back the thick tarp leading into her shack. On the bed, you see presumably her mother in a cold sweat with the shakes, unconcious. A large, rusted piece of scrap metal protruding from an ugly, infected wound in her lower leg.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Danica winced at what she saw and asked the girl. "Do you have any bandages or suchlike? I might be able to help." She asked. Whatever the answer was Danica attempted to help with whatever was available.
You can identify that the leg would need to be amputated. You're able to strip the cloth from around the wound and clean it thoroughly. The woman's shakes are lessened.
Cora bends down and tries to comfort the girl. "Here. Look!" She points to Danica. "Let's see what she can do! Everything will be ok."
The wound looked bad. Most likely, the leg would have to come off. She did her best to comfort the girl, watching Danica do her work with interest and curiosity.
Danica bit her lip, wanting to swear. If she had the resources at the Citadel the leg might have been saved - fermented Korin tea tasted like a goat's unwashed anus, but at least it would help disinfect the wound. She looked around to see what if anything might be around to help.
It is a simple dwelling. A few cast iron pots and pans sit in a sink made from half a rusty barrel. Straw furnishings surround the place and a few straw dolls lay lazily on the floor. You can see a belt strap you may be able to use to tie off the leg and stop the infection from spreading, but other than that, not much in the way of tools required for this job.
"M-my mum got hurt working" The girl explained. "I started working for Uncle Joe- and I-I went to get him his food from the butcher, but I thought Mumma needed it more." She said. "... I don't think I like working for Joe..." She mutters.
Yasei: "I agree, young lady. Joe-san is a 'creepy' man, as you say. He has no right to treat you the way he's been treating you. Your loving support and caring for your ill mother is noble. There is certainly nothing more important in life than what we do at the present moment. A person’s entire life consists of nothing more than one moment piled on top of another, over and over again. Once enlightened to this, we have nothing else to worry about, because we realize that we only have to live in the present moment with the utmost intensity."
Danica sighed and tied off the leg with the belt. Looking at the child and said "I'm sorry, sweetheart, but without more tools this is all I can do. At least the infection wont spread." She looked at the others and asked "What now?"
(Cora recommended to visit the child.)
OOC: Yasei refuses to attack the innocent child, but agrees with Cora's idea of going to talk with her.

Danica raised an eyebrow. "We could pay her a visit." She replied, curiously.

Medicine: 18
Cora stepped aside, and watched what Danica was doing. "Let me know if I can help in any way. I don't think i'm a doctor."
(Dayum, good roll!)

"How come you don't like working for him?" Cora whispered to her, getting a feeling of the reasons she would mention.
"He creeps me out" she whispers back.

"Boy, you sure have a lot of wisdom, Princess." Cora smiles.
