Masters of Eothia 1-20

The trail leads unpredictability into the woods. You follow it for a short while before coming accross an animal carcass.

On closer inspection, it's shrivelled like a dehydrated prune. It also has a puncture wound, similar to Dani.

If you press further on in a north/ easterly direction, you see a number of small game which have met the same fate. The trail goes cold near the fringe of the woods, but as you look out over tall, brown spindelly grassland, you spot a small village.

Can I medicine check anyone them? I just wanna see if it looks like they were fully drained of fluids.

What creatures?! I don't see anything, only dust piles...

Rosli- Doesn’t take much a roll to notice that yes, all vitality of these creatures has been drained.

Yasei- Watatsumi’s total HP is reduced by 2

Crispy eyes the village. The plot thickens.

Danica frowned at the creature. "Lovely."

OOC: crap. I was keeping Watatsumi’s hit points in a note field somewhere, but can’t find it now. I <think> he was down to 4 hit points. I just realized Beyond let’s you track hit points of animal friends/familiars....oops. So, I just made him have 2 hit points left. I’ll do a better job of tracking his hp’s now!

Yasei wraps up Watatsumi in a swaddle of her cloak, and kisses him on his head. “I promise you, friend, I’ll try to find you help as soon as I can!”

To the others: “Dani-san...are you feeling up to moving?  Shall we see if we can find help for you and Watatsumi in that village over yonder?”

"****, just DROP that stupid lizard!" Crispy growls, "Who cares about that thing!? Your care for such a creature is annoying. We have bigger fish to fry - is this gonna be a distraction for you??"

Don't worry, that's cool! He had a long rest, so he would be fully healed- but his total HP is reduced for now. He doesn't take 'damage' so to speak.

Rosli will let out a small sigh and roll her eyes while giving Yasei a pat on the back "Watatsumi is our friend, Cora.... Be nice!"

Danica smiled at Yasei. "It's fine, I can move."

You bicker at each other which lightens the mood slightly as you approach this small farming village. You jest and poke fun and almost roll initiative at least four times on your way over through the tall grain field. Perhaps some of this banter was needed after all the stress you've been subjected to. 

The town is very makeshift and temporary. There is a single well which draws up muddy water at best. One larger structure stands in the middle of town near the well- A run down temple for a forgotten God, turned in to a town hall. Only eight or so clay and straw houses have been built around this town centre and it's very quiet. You can feel eyes on you, but you can't see anyone but a small girl with red, ratty hair, sitting on the stone shale steps of the temple.

She looks up, sees you, gasps and runs inside.

Danica gives the temple a quick once over to see if she can recognize which deity the temple once belonged to.
