150 years ago the fire giants broke off from the other giant tribes due to infighting and allied with the humanoids on the condition they send a certain amount of fire giants to the Frontlines every year
Surtr as one of the best warriors in his year was nominated to be sent to the front lines along with a few others of his kin (it's a bit short but I like it)

Zunrus was part of the army; She was primarily a part of the intelligence branch due to her short stature. However, she was still forced to do basic military training.
She used to be extremely poor before she joined the army, but she used the skills she gained to become a private investigator to gain money. Due to being extremely poor, Zunrus prefers not to spend any money, to the point of skimping on equipment even if she has enough money to spend on it now.
Rank in the army is a specialist.
