Once her companions are gathered Tarathi shares her findings "I sensed something powerful by the arena over there. It could be Cosmo. Let's check it out" 

Dagna comments, "Also could be a tail. Either way, it's worth checking out."

As you head to the arena, you hear cheering. As you enter, you see a crowd in the stands, and then you see the center. There are two teams in the sand, slinging spells and swinging swords until one team remains. The crowd cheers again. A loud voice speaks, "AND THE WINNER IS... GALE FORCE!" The team goes into a gated tunnel below the stands, and a clean up crew drags the bodies and gear away.

"They seem like they have an idea of what they consider fun," Caelar remarks.

"Yep, the people here seem to love this blood sport. Now where can that powerful feeling be emanating from" says Tarathi. Barring any other plans, she starts walking among the crowd in a clockwise direction to see if she can narrow down where it feels stronger.

Tarathi sees, above the sand by about 100 feet, a platform suspended by chains, and on that platform is a floating orb. You can't see inside the orb, but you can tell this is the origin of the power you feel.

Tarathi heads back and informs her companions "The power is coming from that orb. Now I don't know if that has anything to do with Cosmo or the missing tail" 

Caelar looks at the platform, and then the now-empty arena, and then turns to a nearby patron. "Excuse me," he says, "We're newcomers here and I want to make sure we understand. Is there a significance to the orb on the platform? Does it have anything to do with the fights below?"

The patron has a face of hair, "Gotta win the fight if yer wanna chance ter get the prize."

{OOC: I was wondering if the tail was the prize of the tournament. I've seen that in manga stories...}

Dagna is a bit concerned about this,. Especially the part where it seemed they were fighting to kill. "So that's the prize for winning the tournament? How does one join in the games?"

"Yer supposed ter hop in and declare a challenge if yer want the grand prize."
