The old dwarf smiles gently. You can sense no malevolence. The dwarf seems kind, and very patient. "Why, child, I am Aurinax, ancient gaurdian to the vault of Dagult Neverember." He turns to Zeli, easily seeing through the illusion. "Zelifarna? Is that you? What are you doing among mortals and not around the sea? I have not seen you since you were just a wyrmling."
Zeli does not raise her head. "Great one. I am learning more about their ways, and their customs. Their behaviors. They are a dynamic bunch, and I have much to learn from them, and hopefully, them from me. Plus.." she glances at Leon, quickly. "They are special. I am curious about them."
Aurinax slowly nods, "I see!" he says, amused. "I wonder if your father would approve of such interactions?" He looks at the rest of you. "Tell me, my friends..why are you all here?"
OOC: dont let Pheral explain why we are hear. she would basically tell the truth about robbing the joint. Someone who's character has n=more tact should do it. I volunteer leon.

OOC: After that last room, Astrid chugged down a Potion of Healing, healing herself 8 hit points.
OOC Did you take more than 15 damage from the blob? I thought you reduced the damage in half. Lythril boobed you for 15 just fyi.
OOC: oooh, I must have missed those wonderful healing boobies! Yeah, Astrid took 13 damage from the ooze a while back, and I suddenly realized I never healed myself. I'll retcon my potion use! Thanks!
"Interesting." the dwarf says finally, "Lord Neverember never told me WHERE the money came from. He simply told me to guard it, and paid me handsomely for my services. He did tell me that any one of his vassals may do what they will with the gold, and I suppose Raenar would be one of them. I haven't seen Raenar since he was a child." Aurinax remembers fondly. "At any rate, I am patient and just. I cannot allow you to do anything with the gold now, but should you bring back one of his vassals, including Raenar Neverember, you are free to do as you wish with his authorization."
And with that, the ancient dwarf returns to his "cleaning".
Sorry I've been so useless here guys... Been working 10-16 hour shifts on graveyards and doubles (with no splits) so i feel I've been useless for this entire vault. and i still have 1.5 more days of it before I get a day off.
Lyhtril recalls a letter she got some years back from one of cousins. He had gone to some tomb called the something of horribles, of asscrack. He wrote “It is to be looking fine but is probably being a trap.”
She never heard from him again and feels almost the same as when she read that letter. “Yeah cuz, this is probably being a trap...”

Azrael had kneeled for the dragon, and listened quietly as everyone else said their piece, FC's idea had actually been quite brilliant, as a way to prove their case to him. He finally raised his head enough to speak, clear reverence in his eyes. He was fairly sure this dragon was a gold, based on his sheen.
