Before anyone in the group can do anything else, the whole cliff face shakes. Thankfully, since the jail cells are further into the cliff face, the shaking isn't too major.
Before the guard being targeted by Dastrun's poor attempt at taunting with "You certainly can't talk, you oaf!"the cliff face shakes. Unfortunately for him, and the kobolds, the shaking is much more severe since stairwells in the lair are closer to the front of the cliff.
The villagers, who had safely made it to the top of the cliff, and had moved away from the edge, are safe. As they look towards the cliffs they came from, and to the sky, they see a star fall, and crash into the cliff, somewhere near the base.
[All players make a Dexterity saving throw. DC 10 for the group, DC 15 for Dastrun. If you fail, you fall down a floor (10 feet) for every 2 points you fail by (round down).]
The room begun to shake, and the floor spit in two, swallowing up the guards that surrounded him. He would have been swallowed to, if he didn't execute a back flip, and landing on his hooves, inches from the edge. The chains were still restricting. He then flexes his muscles and moves his arms and legs to break the chains. After all of this, he goes back to where they all atarted, and goes through the door the rest of the party did, to find his friends.
As Soolaire goes to make sure the villagers were able to escape, the ground trembles tremendously, as the tremors creatr a rift in the ground beneath him. Quick on his feet, he nimbly dodges the rift, leaping to the side and clinging to some natural grooves in the wall. He watches in horror as the entire compound seems to give way, watching his allies either find safety or plummet to the floor beneath.
By the Father-Dragon's breath, what just happened. He reaches out telepathically to each of his allies he can see, making sure they are okay, searching for common ground to reunite on.
Valen felt the first tremors and instinctively prepared for a leap. As the ground split, he flew to one side, locating a similar point on the wall almost immediately.
"Well, I'm not sure what just happened, but it sure wasn't good for this place," he muttered to himself as he landed. Feeling Soolaire touch his mind, he responded with, Shashidiswara, I am fine. We should regroup either a floor down or outside this crumbling wreck. Valen let out an exasperated sigh as the touch of the Mystic's mind vanished. I hope the villagers made it out safely. And then he realized. "The books! The weapons! The GOLD! It's gone!"
While still deciding what the group was going to do, the ground start shaking strongly making John lose his balance and when the floor split he could not avoid the fall to the floors below. Looking arround him John tries to figure out how where he fell to and how to get up (5 blusgeoning damage from the fall).
with Soolaire's contact: I am safe, but fell hard on my back. Do you think you can help me get up from here or are you thinking of coming down? We still need to find Dastrun.
As the ground shakes Gideon is able to move right to the edge of the room. Safe and secure in his position Soolaire's telepathic message reached him. Not mowing the exact direction he called back to him, "I'm fine!!! But we can not dwell here!"

From below you can hear kobolds screaming, and all around, you can hear the sounds of scurrying feet, as the kobolds try to escape the Starbeasts that are annihilating every life form they come across (except for each other).
Dastrun encounters a hole that he cannot get around, but if he looks down it, he can see his weapons, three floors down.

Seeing Kobolds fleeing through the corridor he just crashed in and hearing the unmistakable screams of fear of more Kobolds in panic all over the place, John turn to his companions two floors up and forgetting stealth for a moment he screams back to them: There is something down here frightening the Kobolds and I don't think it is Dastrun! Are you coming down or am I coming up? We need to decide it quickly!
John doesn't see or hear what the Kobolds are runing from (Perception 1d20+5 = 20) but he readies his crossbow for he might need it soon...
Dastrun sees he weapons, in a deep pit. He sighs and begins to climb down. After he gets about 10 feet down, some rubble gives way and he falls the rest of the way. Luckly he only got some bruises. He picked up his weapons and goes down the corridor. He sees John, and calls out to him "John, over here." He then jogs over to his side.
Seeing Dastrun approach, John signals him and turns to his companions two floors up: The Lord of Light shines upon us! Dastrun is here! Now, we go up or you come down? To Dastrun: Be watchful, something is frightening the Kobolds down here and really frightening them.
Hearing his name made Soolaire smile. It was a name he had not heard in a long time, save for from the Father-Dragon himself. John's plea echoed within Soolaire's mind. Maneuvering until he can see him, Soolaire then reaches out with his mind. "I'll come down there, John. Just hold on for a bit." He pulls out a rope with a grappling hook, and after securely fastening it, he hastens down the rope to regroup with John and Dastrun. "Does anyone know what is going on here?"
"No clue," responded Valen as he slid down the rope behind Soolaire. "I think we managed to pull off our job, but there is the issue of whatever the kobolds are running away from. Shall we check it out?" Noticing that Dastrun's greataxe was still pink, Valen dispersed the spell, allowing it to return to normal. He then changed Dastrun's horns a light blue color, similar to the sky on a cloudless day. Hopefully he doesn't notice.
Chance watches as Valen alights from the rope, he takes care to grip the rope firmly and looks at the possibilities for the smartest and safest descent down.
Landing gracefully, his Eldritch Sight detected Valen preparing some subtle cantrip and laying it upon Dastrun. Some kind of Transformation or Illusion.
"Friends, there is definitely something strange going on here, things are getting very weird. I think it moot and second Valen's suggestion to investigate what has the Kobolds running"
As soon as Gideon joins the group, to ground cracks, and you all fall to the floor below. After another couple of seconds, the floor, after the impacts of both the rubble and the people, collapses again. You land in a large, open room, and about 30 feet away, three Starbeasts stand, two destroying a kobold. Roll a Dexterity saving throw to see if you fall prone (DC 12) and Initiative.

During the fall John managed to hold the hand holds he passed by, did cushion his fall bending his knees when he landed remembering to not keep his lags straight at the risk of breaking them he lands on his feet (1d20+3 = 22 Dexterity Saving Throw), but the fall and the noises got the best of John's readiness and he doesn't move as quickly as he hoped to when he saw the beasts (Initiative 6).
With the ground cracking open, Soolaire cursed in Primordial. This is not going to bode well, Father-Dragon. Crashing through the floor, the fall was great... but Soolaire was greater. Like the wind, he bounced from rock to rock, gaining enough upward momentum to avoid any injury as he landed on the ground far below.
The Father-Dragon is still watching over me, it would seem. He hears kobolds screaming, and turns to in horror to see personifications of the sun itself. The beasts, appearing to be manifestations of the sun itself, rip into the kobolds flesh, tearing them apart. Father-Dragon.... What are these beings? Have you sent them to help us? As if being slammed by a crashing wave from the sea, his body is rocked by the voice of the Father-Dragon. "No." Nodding his head, he telepathically speaks with his companions. "These fiends were not sent by the Father-Dragon. We must kill them swiftly if we are to survive."
Chance sensed the ground cracking, moments before it happened. He projected the possibilities, in one universe he fell rather horridly, in another he landed in such a manner that he was prepared for what was to come. Chance chose to take the more favorable possibility. Upon landing he saw three strange creatures, Starbeasts or some such, two of which were destroying Kobolds.
Valen was certainly not ready for the floor to crack underneath them. He felt himself hang in the air for a moment, muttered a curse in Elvish, and plummeted to the floor below. His landing attempt was also not perfect. A loose flagstone in the floor made him lose balance as he landed, and he fell prone, muttering another curse in Elvish. He lay there, facedown on the floor, before hearing the sounds of the Starbeasts.
