Mikkeo: You get the feeling that you should probably tell the owner of the house what the hell was living in their basement.
Group 1: You are still in the basement with a corpse of a Topi, in a crate there is Tinker's Tools as well as a sledgehammer. You have yet to examine behind the moved crates on the right side wall, above which are a series of marks in chalk.
Mikkeo walks around the room, extending the hand holding both his viol and the glowing bow ahead of him, his other hand still wielding his blade, looking for any sign of more trouble.
Perception: 11
While looking around, the dark-skinned busker says, "Do either of you know what that creature was? I've never seen one. Not ... that I can remember, anyway. We should alert the owner of this dwelling what was in their cellar." He glances over at the tiefling. "Are you all right?"
"Dangerous. " Torgar replied as he watched the light shine about the room while Mikkeo searched for more signs of trouble. "The creature came from here.." recalling as the dragonborn moved towards the right side of the room, dangling the greataxe in a single hand at his side, while his free hand moved crates out of the way. He'd notice the chalk marks and go to touch them, but thought twice. "What are these." He said aloud before stepping back. "Unless the owner already knows.. caution should still be taken. "

As Alvaryn moves to retrieve his thrown handaxe he turns to the others and says with his customary look of excitement "Hold on now big fellow, lets not be too hasty. There's more going on down here don't you think we should at least find out what it is? Why don't we take this little rat back to the entrance with us and secure him with my rope, he won't be going anywhere in his state I wouldn't have thought" medicine:16 Alvaryn holds out the rope to Wrex. "As our scaly friend said, Othokent was it, there are more of these things down here and I think the Marshall would probably like to know more about them, whatever the blighters are." It is clear on his face, he relishes the thought of facing down more of these beasts.

"I will be fine, i thank you for the help, i didn't expect to be attacked in here, i don't know what i expected, this is the clearest my mind has been in weeks, the.." She stops before continuing further she did not feel comfortable telling them about the noise, or the voice she heard especially the human, she had never seen one like him before dark skin and his eyes strange indeed she thought.
Mazir tucked her dagger away and silently knelt, removing the spear from her back she bagan to unwrap the hilt and blade to reveal it fully. A dark wooden shaft was cut down for her use, the blade glinted slightly in the Bards light, the jagged blade looked like polished stone, dark in color almost black but it cut like the finest of steel. She stood and turned to the dragon born searching through the crates. "This, thing" she said stabbing the creature with here spear, "I have never seen one before"
A sudden realization hit the Tiefling, she was led here by the noise, it was unbearable on the street the now dried blood on her lips a sign of just how painful it had got. Something must be here to find she had to be here for a reason, pulling her spear from the creature she began to search the room.
Wrex will look to Alvaryn "I don't think you understand... This guy should have been behind bars YEARS ago... He is the reason I am here and I am not going to risk him getting away. He needs to be brought to justice for his crimes." A look of anger spreads across Wrex's face. You cannot see his eyes because of the cloth, but you are sure that they are filled with rage.
Disappointment crosses Alvaryn's face once again. He looks at the ruined beast, but it then it quickly fades as he shakes his head and looks back to Wrex with acceptance and he puts his rope away. "You are right Sir Tortle, we can convey what we else we have found to Marshal Brosth and return after our primary concern is dealt with. Although I'm sure there is more to be found down here but..." For a brief moment he pauses, looking one last time at the creature with a wistful look in his eyes and an almost sorrowful smile on his face. It is clear that no matter what happens with the Marshal Alvaryn clearly intends to return here after the bounty is dealt with. He wipes the sewer slime from his axe, re-attaches it to his belt and then moves to head away, stopping next to Wrex and Galmin Lux: "I gave you my word that we would deal with Mr Lux how you saw fit and thus it shall be so, I apologise my good fellow. Mr Othokent is already in agreement so let us make all haste and return. I assume that you wish to keep a good hold of our quarry here so I shall take the lead if you don't mind!" The customary cheer returning to his face as he holds out his free hand and tilts his head in a gesture pointing towards the exit as a question.
To give Mazir more steady light as she also begins looking around in earnest, Mikkeo touches one of the crates with the back of his sword hand and whistles. The bow's light is immediately extinguished and the crate begins to glow. He then puts sword, viol and bow away. Watching the tiefling search, he exchanges a quick glance with dragonborn in which he nods appreciatively. "Even though I didn't find anything else dangerous, I would rather the three of us stick together, so I will wait until we are all ready to climb the stairs."
Wrex will nod to Alvaryn "I promise I will return with you to investigate this further if you wish... if you know anything about the followers of Tyr, you know that honesty is kind of a big deal with us... " He will then look to Lux before looking back to Alvaryn "besides, you know the saying... A bird in the hand.."
The whole time the duo had gone back to conversing between one another, Othokent had begun to get twitchy again and look around into whatever dark crevice his eyes could fall upon. Did they not hear the thundering feet? The skittering claws against stone? Though he knew it would probably do him little good, the Lizardfolk carrying the creatures remains under one arm brandished a dagger at the darkness.
Hearing agreement between the two at last, Othokent stops his tail from its occasional lashing nervously in the air. "By all means brave pointy-eared one. Lead the way." He says in his usual sarcastic tone as he shifts off to the side for Alvaryn to lead the way. "But we must be swift before they get too close."

With a sly grin Alvaryn looks to the lizardfolk and winks: "But the fun doesn't start until they get close scaled one!" He then moves off towards the entrance without looking back.
Mazir: Arcana: You know what these are, and that the process of animating them requires a viper to be placed where the heart once was. Those vipers catch a pretty penny when sold to the right buyers, a valuable alchemical component. Investigation: You step closer to the right side wall, examining the chalk marks. They seem familiar in a way that feels foreign to you. And below them, now visible since the crates have been moved by Torgar, A hole in the bottom of the wall, just large enough for the creature to fit through. The smell of filth and decay hits your nostrils as you lean in to get a better look, and the dripping of water. The sewer.
Group 2: the thundering footsteps begin to draw a bit closer.
(Is the thundering footsteps in the direction we need to go to backtrack or seems to be coming from one of the tunnels we didn't enter?)

Stepping back from the smell Mazir approached the corpse again, looking down at its lifeless features information not know before begins now to piece itself together in her mind. "This" she points at the Topi "Has been animated, I mean changed in someway and brought to life, it can be poisonous look" Mazir deftly lifts the spear and punctures the creatures chest making a crude incision near the heart, kneeling now and using the Bards dim light she draws a knife and begins to cut. Reaching inside the creature she pulls back from the open wound to reveal a viper now limp in her hand "The snake" she claims holding it aloft "is used somehow, but I do not know how, or why it's needed, what could do such a thing?" She had her thoughts of course but would not share them with the others, she bundled the snake into a pouch at her hip and turned to the other two. "I would like to remain with the two of you until our lives are in no more danger" She exclaimed keeping an arms length away from the stinking hole underneath the chalk marks, these marks she thought, on closer inspection looked familiar like a distant memory of a forgotten friend or place but she could not place her finger on exactly what they were or where she had seen them before.

The way the creature was created meant little to Torgar. It was foul and merely deserved the death it had received. The why was more important. Did it revolve fully around the tiefling or was that coincidence.
"Staying together would be for the best. " Torgar replied, "As for the marks, I do not know. " he added before tapping his greataxe against the wall near the hole, listening, then abruptly turning about, sheathing his weapon as he went for the sledgehammer. (No one else grabbed it right? )
"I think we'll be staying down here a bit longer, Mikkeo. If my assumption is right. Let's see if we can't also get the owner comes to us or this wall to give way" Curious how the smell alone wouldn't have led them down, the noise will.
Grasping the sledge in both hands and whacking it against the wall.
