I motion for my companions to move forward into the tunnel, at least up to where I stand. Then I creep forward into the darkness, sticking to the right wall (stopping at G14). I scout further into the tunnel, listening for any creatures moving around as well as examining the tunnel for anything notable.
Seeing Rixton's signal, and also holding a torch, he moves to his position (D16), trying to use his feelings (hearing something, smelling or feeling the wind) in the darkness
Carrow will follow within 5 feet of Rixton, eyes scanning constantly for any sign of an ambush. Senses alert he stalked bow in hand an arrow ready.
His thoughts drifted back to the attack, grateful he survived the ranger was also happy he returned the bodies of his attackers to nature, with good or ill will all must return to the earth. Each mans face and the position in which he laid them was committed to memory each a gift to the wilds. He remained silent now as they continued deeper.
The half-elf and half-orc, relying on their darkvision, continue to move silently along the right hand wall of the tunnel while Andor, Vigan, and Ladrian trail behind in the torch light. Carrow and Rixton soon realize that the main tunnel splits; a narrower passage branches off to the left. Other than the constant dripping of water, no other sounds are heard by the party.
Updated map (NOTE: The rock in G13 is actually a column of rock that reaches from floor to ceiling)
I look to Carrow, creeping up behind me on my left. He sees what I see. I wonder if the left passage might lead to a dead end, since it veers back towards the south and there were no other cave entrances on the outside. There is no guarantee of that, of course. I would feel better about making sure it was clear of any threats and avoid getting flanked. I decide to motion that way with a long look serving as my question mark.
Carrow can see the fork in the cave, Rixtons long look to the mouth of the newly discoverd cave arm could only signify one thing, and Carrow agreed it needed to be searched. He gave a nod and continued silently forward.

Vigan
The goliath makes out a silent exchange between Rixton and Carrow, and walks quietly forward when summoned. Aiming his torch down each passage, his ears strain to make out any audible signs of life, eyes similarly attempting to find anything out of the ordinary.

Carrow and Rixton position themselves to the left of the large column of rock, which allows them to see a bit farther into the tunnel that leads west. Andor, Ladrian, and Vigan move forward as well. Immediately thereafter, the sound of some sort of struggle can be heard farther up the main tunnel (somewhere beyond square K11).
The first indication of the struggle is a male voice, saying, "You filthy monster, let me..."
A dull thud, as if something was dropped or hit, is the next sound to reach the ears of the party. Last comes the sound of a deep, resonant voice, "Quiet."

I lean in close to Carrow. "Possible threat that way," I whisper, gesturing north. "Let me scout these tunnels here. Bring the others up to this rock column. Then we will check out that threat."
I sneak over to the intersection in the tunnels and look in both directions.
Andor moves up with Vigan, staying near the light but not right next to the goliath. Thoughts calm he feels the storm energy inside as always, waiting for release, but his manner is still calm. Hearing the thud after the verbal exchange ahead the sorcerer takes a few steps forward. "We need to move, they clearly need us, but I think we shouldn't trust to just one light." Reaching into his pack he takes out a torch and lights it.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
Carrow creeps forward a few feet, carefully and silently, examining the cave floor as he goes.
Spoiler for Carrow:
Despite the challenges created by the dim light and uneven floor, the ranger is able to discern at least three varieties of footprints. Two varieties are obvious--those of the goblins and the humans. The other footprint is very large, approximately 18" in length and has the appearance of being made by a bare humanoid foot of some sort.
Spoiler for Rixton:
From Rixton's new vantage point he can see approximately 30' to the south; then the cave appears to turn east. To the west, he can see 40'; then the cave appears to turn north. The rogue neither sees nor hears any movement in those directions.
The ranger examining the cave floor notices something out of place, something he didn't expect to find here.
He motions the others to join him pointing out the tracks of humans and goblins and the direction they travelled. He then traces the outline of a large 18" humanoid foot print and friend to himself, giant.
Carrow continues forward slowly watching and listening as he goes.
Ooc: which way do the footprints go, if possible I would like to follow the human footprints.

Rixton:
I move back to Carrow. "No close threats that way," I whisper. "Let's check on that threat." I move around the rock column and motion my companions to move forward. Then I creep northwest as carefully as possible (to the border of K10 and K11).
Carrow moves slowly behind Rixton and waits for the others to catch up. "The humans were taken up this passage" he says silently motioning in the direction the tracks lead. "Did you see the large foot prints, it's not just goblins down here be on guard friends"

Turning to Rixton he signals him to stay and watch the western passage. The ranger checks the floor of the intersection for the passing of any humans.
Survival: 22 (advantage of tracking humans take the highest value)
Hearing the struggle Carrow moves silently north to the top of H12 listening intently.

Edit: I've done 2 manual rolls for the tracking, I'm on my phone at the moment, I'm not sure if it's added them together or not.

Andor
Andor continues to advance too, making sure his torch doesn't illuminate the space where the two party members with darkvision are operating.
