Elaric concurs: the group was ostensibly hired to determine the fate of the hunting party and cause of the local barbarian tribes' insistence that the forest had become dangerous: Keller's journal and the party's testimony should clinch that matter. Reading between the lines, the real objective was to ensure the lodge could continue to opperate as a source of profit for Lord M's cousin. In Elaric's estimation, this objective has likely also been fulfilled.
Balasar is ready to begin the journey back as well; the sooner, the better, given the break in the weather, the length of the journey, and the quantity of the party's remaining food rations. If the party stays much longer, they'll likely need to spend some time hunting before beginning the journey back.
The party packs up the remainder of their traveling gear and supplies, Elaric pausing to ensure that Wendell still held Keller's journal, and they negan the days-long hike back to Timberway. Whoever is leading the way (Guan Hao?), please make a survival check. Anyone who wishes to assist with navigation, feel free to do likewise.
With the wendigo's vile influence lifted, the local wildlife is already returning. The party is only four hours into their return trip, with clear indications that they are on the proper route, when a small family of deer cross the snowy trail less than 100 yards ahead. Does anyone wish to take any specific actions on this first day of travel?

No other events of note take place on the first day. The party eventually stop, sets camp, and settles in for the night. To save time, please decide on a watch rotation for the remainder of the trip.
Also, each of you (in this particular part of the adventure) will receive a PM. I'll need responses before we proceed.
Wendell spends his watch glancing around and occasionally practicing the object manifestation trick he picked up during his studies in the Van Der Wuulf library; conjuring rings, copies of his spell book, and various carpentry tools before finally settling on an additional cloak, which he throws over his shoulders for the remainder of his watch.
With all the recent snow and the wildlife only just returning, not much happens during Wendell's watch. Before long, it is time to wake Guan Hao for his turn.
Before Wendell can turn in, Guan Hao clamps an arm on his shoulder and speaks urgently, his eyes bloodshot and his face haggard.
"Wizard, there is something wrong with me. I am...hungry. Very hungry. I want meat. Flesh. Blood. It isn't natural. I can control the hunger for now, but I do not know when it will...become too much. That thing, it has cursed me!"

Guan Hao says little - he is mostly attending to his breakfast. However, he nods curtly at the suggestion that their business here is concluded.

Guan Hao has no particular action to take.
As long as the party's reserve food supplies are not too low, Wendell is for letting the deer go and continuing on.

Wendell is up for taking first watch if there are no objections.
Guan Hao will take second watch.
Elaric will take third watch if Balasar is ok taking fourth.

Balasar agrees to take the fourth watch.

Wendell wakes Guan Hao and turns in for the night.
Before Wendell can turn in, Guan Hao clamps an arm on his shoulder and speaks urgently, his eyes bloodshot and his face haggard.

Wendell goes pale, then struggles to compose himself.
"It was wise for you to share this with me. I'm waking Elaric now, and I think it will be prudent to have two on watch from now on."
He pauses.
"You are native to this region, correct? Do your people have stories or legends of these beasts and their curses? Maybe cures?"
