For your victory over the Ettercap and its two pets, each member of the party receives 1500 XP. [I can tack on a bit if anybody's just short of Level 5.]
To safely transport your catch back to the surface, I'm going to ask Skoth to make one more Animal Handling check.
Any character may make an Investigation check (or straight Wis) if they wish to explore the garden and discover anything further.
Elaric has reached level 5 (gaining access to 3rd level spells!!!) and will make an investigate check: 18

That puts Balasar at 6,250 XP, which is 250 XP shy of the 6,500 needed for level 5.
Balasar will make a wisdom check for exploration/further discovery: 19
I'll bump that total up to 2,000xp just to get you across the finish line there.
Anyone who's already taken yours, add another 500.
Investigation / Perception checks for exploring the garden:
Balasar: 21 (I should have said this was Perception, not straight Wis, added your bonus for the skill)
Elaric: 18
Wendell: 11
If Gong or Skoth have checks to declare, they can do so in the next 48 hours (real time).
For this exploration, each character can make one Perception or Investigation check, and may choose to explore on their own, or in the company of another character.
If they explore together, any group of characters only uses the check of the character with the highest result, and can make at most one discovery. So if you all explore together, you are limited to one possible discovery. If you all explore separately, you have a chance at up to five discoveries. If, say, two go one way and three go another, the two groups can make two discoveries altogether, one per group.
Once all checks are made, or by Tuesday evening, please post who will be exploring with whom, and who wants to go their own way. For anybody who doesn't post at all, I will assume they are in the company of the character with the highest result.

Balasar will explore with Elaric, if he is willing to explore with a companion.
Elaric is amenable to this idea but suggests that (based on last locations and proximities) Balasar accompany either Wendell or Skoth while Elaric explores with Gong or solo, depending upon the monk's wishes.
[OOC (and totally metagaming): It might make most sense to have Balasar explore solo, both because of his roll of 21 and his high hp/damage output. Elaric can either explore solo or with anyone who rolls lower than 11 (or a non-rolling PC). Wendell can do the same or team up with a higher roll than 11 but lower than 18 (if that occurs). In this way, we maximize our chances for both discoveries and survival should we encounter any nasties. Thoughts from the party?]

Gong is willing to stick with Elaric.
Keep in mind, Wendell also has Fluss, so he's also got a back up buddy already. He won't say no to assistance, but he's also pretty confident one of them can spot something the other misses.
Gong is now at 7290xp and will stick with Wendell.

Wendell, do you want to roll a separate check for Fluss, or would you like to say he's assisting you and take advantage to add a second roll to your first?

Dammit. Wendell and Fluss march confidently off in... a direction.

Decision on this? Sounds like Gong is sticking with Elaric (highest roll 18) and Wendell is headed off on his own (highest roll 11).
No word from Skoth yet, so he'll be with Balasar or Balasar's group if he doesn't post by tomorrow evening.

Balasar will explore alone, unless Skoth desires a companion.
Wendell is looking for ettercap eggs, other giant spiders, and any other signs of what lives here. He's conjured a glowing quarterstaff and is feeling around in the underbrush with it to keep jump scares to a minimum.

Balasar, Elaric, and Wendell, please declare if there is anything in particular you are investigating or searching for.
Wendell is looking for ettercap eggs, other giant spiders, and any other signs of what lives here. He's conjured a glowing quarterstaff and is feeling around in the underbrush with it to keep jump scares to a minimum.
Balasar is looking for anything that will provide more information about the creators of this place.
Elaric is looking for all of the above and really just taking in anything that catches his eye as being unusual, noteworthy, or out of place.
