Navek's grip on the reigns tightened the more Lora persisted in following along. But he held his tongue, and held off on following through with his words, if only due to apology. Although the goliath didn't shift to avoid the contact, looking up, she can see his jaw became that much more set in a thinly veiled frown. "I am going to give you these last two pieces of advice. Whether you actually decide to listen to it or not this time is up to you... Never blame others for your own actions. Not even indirectly. That sort of dishonesty is beneath you."
Finally, Navek gives Lora a sidelong look. "And secondly... I'm going to give you the same advice that I gave my daughter. If you got time to whine, then you got time to be doing something useful with yourself. That's not to say you should bury those feelings. The fact that you're openly acknowledge them at all is a good sign. But don't let the worry eat at you so much that you lose your head over any old thing." A single tear starts budding in Navek's eyes at the mention of a daughter. One he pointedly blinks away before turning his attention forward.
"You young'uns are a symbol of something better now for the town. That sometimes mean doing things you might not want to, celebrating included. But if not for them, then do it for yourself. For whether you believe or not, it does the spirit good knowing and seeing for yourself some good came with the bad... Now I'm gonna be gone for awhile. No more than two days at most. But I need some time on my own. Can't say where yet, because only Hepheastus knows for sure. But I'm confident Miss Sayre can track me down in a pinch." He lets out a hollow chuckle. "Those dogs too, if you kids can get them properly together." On that note, he picks up the pace as much as he dared to without either unbalance the keg or looking back. Not even once.

Lex, looking up to Sayre will gasp "Holy beholder shit! What happened to you?". Lex will then reach out and you instantly feel better as a number of your would seem to close as his hand rests upon your shoulder for a moment. (you are healed for 6) as you look into his eyes the dark of pupils seem to come alive as though they were full of stars for a moment before he turns away quickly. "So Smoke is currently picking some rare mushrooms along the riverbank north of town. He said he would be back later today but if you have something you want to drop off I can put it downstairs in the basement for him if you want." The Aasimar would say leaning back against the wall with his hands in the pockets of his robe. "And where is your friend? I don't think we got off on the right foot last time we met.." he will say with a small smile. "I thought she would like that I spoke her language but I guess not..." He would say with a small frown looking down at his feet.
"Thanks," Sayre replies taking the chest from the bag she lays on the floor to remove it easily. "This is for him. Tell him," she pauses looking at the chard chest, " it was thd best I could do considering tbe circumstances," she adds. "The Bloodscales are gone now. As for my friend I haven't a clue why speaking that lanague offended her. I'm half demon after all," she adds with a wink. "I'll be at the inn if Smoke needs me," she replies lingering for a response before heading out.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Father Bryon will greet Mo and manage a small smile, probably the first you have seen out of him. "I don't normally enjoy seeing the dead but uh... I don't think anyone here is going to be mourning those folks piled up on your tarp over there." He would say motioning to the mound of bloodscale carcasses. He would then walk with Mo to the back corner of the graveyard where they had buried the assassins, the dirt covering their bodies still piled up and unsettled. Along the way, Father Bryon would grab a corner of the tarp and assist in hauling the bodies. Although the dwarf was much much older than Mo, he had not lost a bit of strength over the years and his assistance makes the work considerably easier. "I uhh... I wanna thank you for helping me with this..." The dwarf would say, struggling to get the words out. "I am not one for pleasantries and blowing smoke up peoples asses.. some say I come off as kind of a jerk... But I wanted to say thanks" The cleric would say as he makes short work of the first grave and quickly moves to the next.
Thimbol makes it back to the inn with the two wolves. As you unlock the main door and walk in the wolves quickly run in and leap on to the chairs near the warm fireplace and make themselves right at home. They both let out large yawns with their tongues extending into the air before laying their heads down after a hard day of being nearly burned to death and then ridden and hauling a lot of weight multiple miles to their new home.
"So you are" Lex will say, moving to the counter and placing his weight on his elbows before leaning forward a bit. "I envy you, and the power that flows through your blood" He will say as his face gets a little more serious before a smile spreads across his face again. "Can you imagine what would happen if we were to have children.. I think we would probably start a battle between the planes!" He would say with a wink and a huge grin. "I will let Smoke know you dropped off his supplies.. I am pretty sure the items he was expecting should have had no problem surviving a little bit of fire damage.." He will say with a smile. "If you will excuse me though, while I have enjoyed this chat... your cousin has quite a list of chores he expects me to have done before his return" he will say rolling his eyes before going back to work.
Lorarila couldn't help but cringe as Navek lectured her, especially about the dishonesty. That made her feel terrible, she hadn't wanted to sound like she blamed others. Just she made a mistake leaving without him. The second bit of advice made her even worse feeling, she was whining. She was being weak and emotional again, she knew it. Calling out to him as he rode away, "I am still sorry. I will try to do better and not be so weak. Just be safe, and swear you will return. I don't want to lose you because we all are asses and reckless. We need a old man to help guide us a little bit, be safe and hope you come back sooner then you expect." Waving at him, she turns and heads back to town. Feeling more upset but relieved, she needed to do something to distract herself but didn't know what. So she wandered around deep in thought. (If anyone wants her call out to her, if not she end up back at the inn.)
Mo will nod back at the Father's thanks and get to work helping him dig. When they were all done Mo would wipe the sweat from his brow and say to Byron,"Thank you for your help Father. Me and the rest of my group appreciate everything you do for this town and the Mayor and Payne. You keep up the good work here, and I'll keep bringing you the corpses of shit heads." and Mo will cover his mouth, embarrassed, "Sorry, didn't mean to curse.."
Thimbol would grab some meat from the kitchen, throw it to the wolves, leave the bag with the gold chain, gold ring, and ruby necklace on the table and then head to bed.
(going to bed at 9am? lol you act like you almost died. I dont think I will get to post again till morning so post anything you guys want and I will respond in the morning.)
(well if everyone is resting, I will have Lorarila do stuff.)
Lorarila wandered a while before she found herself at Smoke's, she looked at the shop a while before walking inside to browse and maybe help with simple chores to distract herself. She didn't want to go to the inn yet and be around everyone, better to be with strangers and think about matters.
After lying in bed for an hour, Thimbol would roll to the floor and head downstairs. It appeared the wolves were simply keeping Sayre occupied for the time and he'd offer the tiefling a nod if she had nothing to say before grabbing the bag he had left on the table and head outside.
The halfling would make his way through the town in search of the carpenter under Navek's advice. Hoping to return the ruby necklace to Blitzen.
Father Bryon will let out a deep belly laugh. "Boy! I am a dwarf! I grew up in the depths of thunder peaks deep within Storm Hammer!" He will say with a grin. "There are two things I am still good at in my old age, and thats drinking and cursing young man" He will say giving the goliath a hard slap on the lower back as he heads back towards the church.
(Meanwhile)
As Lorarila enters Smoke's shop, she is unable to see anyone anyone around as she begins to walk up and down the isles of magic shop. Although she is alone there is always the feeling as though she is being watched as she makes her way around back towards the counter. A moment later she hears a few footsteps as Lex emerges from the basement. His hands, sleeves, and front of his robe are black with ash and charcoal. He will take a moment attempting to wipe off his outfit before looking up and seeing the half-elf. "Oh hello again!" A large smile spreading across his face. "Holy Troll Turds! What happened to you! You look worse off than your friend Sayre."he will say with a genuine look of concern. "I had hoped I would get the chance to see you again!"The Aasimar would say leaning back against the wall behind the counter. "I would like to apologize for the last time we met... you see, when I dig myself into a hole... instead of putting down the shovel I like to just keep digging and see if I can make my way to the other side..." The Aasimar would then move forward and lean over the counter towards Lorarila and extend his hand outward. "Lets start over. Hi, I am Lex.. I am such a screw up my mother decided to send me into hiding and paid a stranger she hardly knows to watch over her only son. It is nice to meet you." He will say with a small smile hoping to shake your hand.
(meanwhile meanwhile)
Sayre and Thimbol both wake up from their short rests at the inn. The two wolves continue to slumber in front of the fireplace, their bellies full of the meat that Thimbol tossed to them. A short while later there is a knock on the door. Once opened they see that it is Mr. Blitzen with a cart full of practice dummies, weapon racks, and a large assortment of other training equipment loaded into the back. "Hello! I stayed up most the night working on this stuff... it wasn't actually too hard. Navek had asked me to make this training equipment for him, I guess he was planning to use it to train some new recruits or something.." The dragon born will say looking up over a piece of parchment with a list of all the equipment he was planning on delivering.
(meanwhile x 3)
Navek heads off down the road to the east once again, This time at a slower pace making sure not to lose his load or put too much strain on his horse. He eventually passes the recently purged bloodscale camp, evident by the black smoke that is still slowly rising above the trees still visible even from the road. As he continues to the East another few hours the road becomes less lit as large mossy trees encroach on the road, blocking out the sun and covering everything with shadow. The trail becomes a little more muddy as the surrounding lower area seems to fill with shallow scummy water with large trees sprouting from it. Moss dangles from the trees like green spider webs, dipping down into the water. On occasion you can hear splashes in the water around you while you stick to the path but are never able to see anything when you look for the source. On occasion you will spot what appear to be crude log paths that break off the main road and disappear into the mist surrounding the area. As you push forward you eventually come to the some ruins. As you approach you can see that there is 3 story stone tower that is connected to another identical stone tower on the opposite side of what appears to be deep stagnant pond. Both towers are decrepit and green with moss and mold with a crumbling stone set of steps leading to the dark opening of the tower. You can see the dim light from the other side of the tower where the bridge spans the pond through the opening in the tower. Surrounding the tower are countless skeletons from a large variety of creatures.
(So Navek had said he would recover a necklace for blitzen and had asked to get have a training ground and I think a basic forge constructed and said he would pay for it in installments... you were not around so you would not know for sure. I assumed that Navek would keep track of his dept but if he doesn't remember I can go back and look it up)
Blitzen will look to Sayre as he helps to unload the equipment. "Navek had requested that I build some training equipment and I believe he also wanted me to start construction on a forge. He was going to speak with the Mayor about a wall around the town as well but I am waiting for word from the Mayor on that before I start. Navek was going to make payments on this equipment I believe.." The Dragonborn would say touching his claw to his mouth.
