Lorarila will avoid the food, not liking the smell and snacking on the rations and sipping water. "Navek, since Thimbol isn't sharing anything. Where are you from? What makes a Goliath come here? Don't see your kind often, so it is neat."
Thimbol pulls out his thieves tools and gets to work, using an ear horn to listen closely to the tumbles as he turned the dial with a quiet precision that very few could muster. After a few minutes he is able to hear the faint TICK of the last tumbler falling into place. With that, Thimbol pulls with all his might to open the door that weights a few times more than he does. Once the door is open Thimbol sees a stack of papers, a large ornate leather bag, a sack full of coins, as well as an unlocked chest sitting in the bottom of the safe.
Thimbol finds in the safe
1 x deed to Leadbelly's beer and beds 500 x Platinum coins in a heavy leather sack 1 x ornate leather bag that appears emtpy
the chest contains 1 x gold ring 1 x gold ring with a sapphire in it 1 x dagger 1 x longbow 1 x shield 1 x longsword 1 x boots 1 x Studded leather armor
***and before you ask.. all the items glow like a damn Christmas tree when you cast detect magic.***
OOC DAMN IT THIMBOL I HAD SET THE DIFFICULTLY AT 20 THINKING IT WOULD TAKE AT LEAST A FEW DAYS BUT NO!
One of the best scores of the Rogue’s life and...he has to share it. Rifling through the items, he’d grab the deed and the sack of platinum coins. The other items looking rather normal to the halfling, but considering the trinkets Mr. Leadbelly liked to keep around it could go either way. Thimbol walked away, leaving the safe open, but closing the heavy door behind him then making his way up the cellar to the main area. Anyone that was still around he’d show the deed to while tossing the sack of 500 platinum on the table. “There’s a safe down there with a town of items. Could have some special properties to them, but I just find the stuff. Not what they do.”
Navek stops his noisy crunching on a kabob to give Lora a sidelong look. "Neat, huh?" He asks disbelieving. "Well... as I said before, I think. Been everywhere and nowhere, so I couldn't rightly tell you one way or another. But, you can probably tell from the difference between me and Big Mo there, that my upbringing was a bit more... well, less traditional for our kind." He chuckles. "Or maybe that just comes with age, eh? Heh... As for what would bring my kind here, well... That depends."
Navek looks off to Mr. Happy-to-Smash with a look of melancholy. "I won't speak for Mo on the matter. But for me? Thought I try to challenge myself one last time before mother Leluta Lilulumina came a calling me back home for the last time."Navek quickly tries to mask a grimace behind a smile and patting Lora on the back. "But enough grim talk for one night, eh? What about you, little lady? Aside from the little Satyr and the ever so lovely sheriff Payne, I can't say that I expected to find more than the one spitfire here?"
He then turns back to thimbol with brows knitted and a finger raised. "Uhhh... Wasn't that supposed to be after we fulfilled 'ol Sir Morgan's wishes?"

"As I recall Mr. Leadbelly said the inn was ours. The deed just proves it and the money is a bonus. If we complete his final wishes he'll let us know his stash. "
Lorarila listens to Navek and chuckles at the spitfire comment and then looks at Thimbol when they come up. "More stuff to examine, wonderful. When we divide everything up, I must give you a small bit of mine. You have been just amazing and so useful Thimbol. You are worth your weight in gold, but sadly I can pay you in that. So Thank you Thimbol, you are the best Halfling I have ever met." Smiles at Navek, "As for me. I was born in the Black Oak forest, my Father's family live on the other side of it. I spent a few years with him as my mother left after my birth, then he used all his savings and my blood to get me into a decent Academy to learn magic. I had sorcery in me and without training, I would be a danger to everyone. Now, I am here. Fighting and fussing hoping to have a place to myself."
Oh good. I was just being paranoid then. Don't mind me.
"Mn! Good to know. If you think you can pop it back open in the morning without a problem, I say it close it for now. We can draw it all up in the morning and have that sorted out then. Maybe even bring some of those curios to that Smoke, fella."Navek says to Thimbol. "Sorcery, eh? Sorta like Big Mo?" Navek rubs his chin and nods. "Well, either way, while we did have a bit of tiff back there, know what you did down there was appreciated."He grins broadly. "But I gotta admit. Most of your ilk -- magic users, just to be clear -- don't usually pick coming back to, frankly, backwoods place this given the chance to learn a bit more... and no offense, but you don't strike me as... arcane expert."

Lorarila goes a little red and sighs at Navek, "Mo is different, he is a Bard. It is a odd profession that really has unique abilities. He gets magic through music and songs, mine comes from a ancestor. As for why I am here and my lack of training, I would rather not say. I am no expert, but I still have time to study and learn. I won't slow you all down, or let you down."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thimbol frowned at his cup of mayonnaise for a bit then stood from the table. “I don’t think I can get it back open. I felt pretty lucky just getting it the first time. I might go just sleep in the study to keep it safe. For now though, I’m gonna go take a crack at that safe upstairs in his room, Sayre mentioned.” Tipping his top hat to Lorarila before excusing himself to finally check out the upstairs.
Thimbol tries for a while but it seems as through there are more tumblers than normal and it is different than most simple locks. The chest remains locked.
(I would say that if thimbol wanted, while the door to the safe was open.. he could spend an hour doing nothing but trying to examine the lock on the safe to figure out the combination if he wanted... doesn't have to be now or anything, just something he could do if he doesn't want to try to investigate every room in the house looking for numbers and wants to be able to store items in there.)
Mo will push back his plate when he's done and rise from the table, 'A wonderful feast! The first of many! But Mo is sleepy, going to go to bed. We check out more of inn in morning, then go talk to lizardman."
Navek nods to Thimbol, and gives a two finger salute goodbye. Then to Lora he says with a bit of a smile in his voice "There ain't no doubt in my mind you won't succeed in that, little Lora. But let that line of thinking become a poison to ya in time. We all fail from time to time. Sometimes... in a pretty bad way. What's important is that no matter what, you get right back on, keep challenging yourself, and... that's pretty much it really."Navek downs the rest of his soup, and goes about wrapping up his remaining burgers and kabobs for later.
"Sounds like a plan, Big Man. See ya in the morning."He bids Mo a similar salute before rising himself. Instead of going upstairs however, Navek sits in a chair by the mantle, and just rests there until sleep claims him. If noone has seen to the safe keeping of the sack, he'll make sure to keep it nearby until the morning when it can be properly investigated and divided following the mini-heartattack of seeing so much coin in one place.

I was half-way tempted to level up in Cleric if allowed, but pretty sure its WAY too soon for that.

so are you guys going to bed? opening the chest in Leadbelly's room or the safe in the basement?
Having filled up on what Thimbol would consider squalored conditions, he'd excuse himself and try the safe in the basement.
Thieves Tools: 20

(Looks useless. Closes the chest. Haha )
You should totally close the door to the safe and let Every one know what you found after you close the door to the safe
