Mo wipes his mouth after finishing the last of his food. "Yes! Little Mayor man and then big lizard man. Sounds like a plan to me. Hey, leave the clean up to me. I learned a new trick from the horny man yesterday."
And Mo will tap out a little beat on the table for a few minutes, until suddenly the plates appear to float up and take themselves to be washed.
*But its actually my Unseen Servant, (cast as a ritual)*
(Does the horny man show you tricks often? when did you see this horny man?... ya know what, I will be good lol. I assume that you are talking about smoke :) )
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Finishing his meal, Thimbol couldn't help but realize how much more vigorous he felt this morning than others. "Fantastic meal, Sayre." Glancing about the table to see if the others felt the same. If so it wasn't obvious as discussion for the day had already begun. "Yes. The mayor..."The halfling less than enthused about having to give up the top hat so early. What happened to the good ol' days of finders keepers.
"Well, I guess if we're going to be making a day of things." He began scooping up the unidentified items into the bag of where does it put it all. "Mayor, Lizard, and then Smoke? Might as well bring these too."
Does Thimbol recognize the lizardfolk or does the lizardfolk recognize thimbol? :o
You recognize him but he looks a little different now than you remember... maybe it is the tint of his scales or something about his fangs... There is something different for sure but you cannot put your finger in it
you don't know if he recognizes you because he was sleeping or gagged the whole time you were with him I think.
"Thanks Mo," Sayre replies letting the dishes get taken care of. "So good guard, and guard? Is that our angle," she asks the party. "To get the Lizard man to talk," she adds to clarify.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
As you all sit at the table and discuss your plans for the day, you hear the heavy banging of the knocker at the front door. "Hello!? You all survive the night in there? I was just dropping by to make sure you were able to get settled In OK last night... " You all hear the mayor trying to talk to you through the locked front door.
As Thimbol works to unlock the chest, he is able to make short work of the lock in the better lighting now that there is plenty of daylight Shining through the windows. As Thimbol opens the chest he finds an incredibly expensive looking outfit, a pair of gloves, a pair of boots, and a cloak. There also appears to be a small bag filled with a small assortment of gems. The gems are not very large but appear to be authentic.
Finally unlocking what Thimbol currently assumes is the last of the locked item in the house, the lockpick was able to take a relaxing breath. ‘Best scores of my life.’ The halfling thought as he started undressing to swap from his ragged clothes to the ones in the chest. Boots, cloak, gloves. The small bag of gems being attached to his hip. Taking his time as Thimbol assumes the commotion downstairs is just Mo’s after breakfast song.
As Thimbol puts on the cloak and the Nice clothing they seem to change change magically. As he puts on the suit and cloak, they seem to change into his old clothes as he thinks about the other clothing laying on the bed next to him. Then as he thinks back to the fancy ornate clothing he had on a moment ago they transform back.
(you can get then identified to figure out all the details but I will tell you that the outfit and cloak are Cloak of Many Fashions and shiftweave with 5 outfits built in. I will let you choose what types of outfit they are and how it looks. you don't have to tell me now or anything... the boots feel great but you cannot tell what they do... also I am going to rule that the outfits contained in the shiftweave include hats)
Sayre gets up and rushes to the door to welcome Mayor Higgins in. "Good morning," Sayre will reply opening the door. "We were just finishing breakfast and about to go talk to that Lizard man we put in jail with Sheriff Payne," she explains motion for the mayor to come in!

Navek slows his initially enthusiastic applause at Mo's latest magic trick to look at the newly arrived Mayor. "Mister Mayor! Good to see you. You'll have -- h-hold on. THIMBOL! Come greet -- there you are. Come, come. Mayor Higgins came to check on us."He says, correcting himself as needed as the little halfling new top hat gives his away his position on the steps coming down.
Probably.

As the door opens The mayor's mouth will drop as he gasps... as though he was seeing a lost family member after a long time apart. "The place looks just as I remember... Thank you all very much for cleaning this place up. I spoke to Father Bryon this morning and he said that you all may have struggled a bit. "He will pause and turn his head taking in the sights. "But it looks like everything turned out alright." The Mr. Higgins will grab an uneaten piece of bread off of a plate as it floats past and take a bite before sitting down at the table. "Payne should be at the jail most the day, I am sure she would be more than happy to help you question the prisoner. " the gnome says before taking another bite. "I do hope you can get some information out of him.." pausing a moment to wipe some crumbs off his suit. "Now that you all are working to take care of those damned Bloodscales the citizens of Black Oak are already starting to breath easier.." The mayor will shove the last bite of bread in his mouth before wiping his face and standing up. "Oh, and did you find any clues as to why Morgan never returned to Black Oak?
"I...I'm sorry to tell this to you Mayor Higgins but it seems Morgan met his end in the cellar below. He was crushed by a barrel that somehow came loose and it killed him sir," Sayre explains with a solemn tone and expression. "We...as a favor to him bury him behind the tree," she adds waking to the window to point, "just there," she adds. "We hope to tell his lady of his untimely end just as soon as we do get rid of these bandits," she explains.

“Classy.” Thimbol muttered, unintentionally activating one of the five outfits stored within the shiftweave. The clothing changing to a fitted suit of purples and blacks, unbeknownst to the wearer, as Thimbol merely cleans up the rest of his clothes laid out and makes his way down the stairs. “No need to shout. I’m coming. I’m coming.” A wave would be offered with one hand as the other reaches for the top hat to hand to the Mayor. ”I believe this was Mr. Leadbelly’s favorite Top Hat. I think he’d want you to have it.”
"Whhat?" The mayor will say collapsing Into the seat behind him...Then, taking the top hat from Thimbol, he would stare into it for. while without saying a word. "I...I will let the people of Black Oak know what happened to their friend.. to.. my friend..." wiping away a tear, he would place the top hat on his head. As he gets up and makes his way to the door, he stops a moment and looks back to the group. "It is good to know what happened... Thank you again" The mayor would say before walking out the door and heading back down the street.
