“Hello Mayor Higgins” Thimbol nodded slightly in greeting as he followed the gnome into their office. ”Sorry, no meeting scheduled. This is just a concerned citizen wanting to speak with their mayor.” Assuming there’s a window, the halfling would most certainly look out it, otherwise just awkwardly stare at a wall... “You’re taking precautions right? I mean, you saw the note from Shiv and now there’s another Blood Scale in the prison. They’re just next door and the clock is ticking for when they’re suppose to take your life. You need more guards or to go into hiding for a couple days. At least come stay at Leadbelly’s”
The mayor will nod to Thimbol and scratch his chin. "Well... I spend most of my day right next door to Sheriff Payne... she normally stops over a few times a day to chat since she doesn't have any other members of the city watch to talk to currently... recruitment is slow but I hope that as you and your friends inspire the town with your deeds... that will change." Higgins says smiling at Thimbol before searching through his desk before pulling out some cigars and a few bars of chocolate and offering it to the halfling. "Cigar? Candy? I always keep a secret stash here in my office... The wife and kids give me a hard time about it if back at the house." The mayor will sit back in his chair a little farther looking at the ceiling before shifting his gaze back to the halfling. "I don't have any additional guards or anything... I figured you guys had taken care of the assassins and thought you were on your way to clear out their camp..... We have never had anyone escape from our jail and Payne is literally living out of that place since there are no additional city watch to man the jail in her absence... so unless someone manages to get past her, take her keys, and unlock the door to the basement and the cells... I am not too worried about those two criminals. "The gnome will say taking a large bite of chocolate. "Besides! My house has heavy locks and I wouldn't want to worry my family for no reason."
Thimbol wasn't happy with the mayor's response, but obviously couldn't press the matter much further. Not without revealing too much. Sighing, the halfling waved away the offer. "The group seems to have varying ideas on what taking out the assassins means exactly. Hopefully those prisoners death penalty comes quickly?" Furrowing his brows as he didn't have many choices left. "Ok, then. I'll be heading out.. I've got some other things to do before the night ends and then I imagine we'll be going after the blood scales. "
"The thanks is all hers and Thimbols."Navek clarified during the pause, a smile easily coming to his face. "As I said, we will see about that... Take care now." He replied with later, smile faltering near the end. "Hm... Catchy. Not sure I would call that quest though, son. But a job well done all the same."He says as he more than happily takes a seat by Mo. After all that running around earlier in the day the poor old goliath needed the load off. "You know little cousin. It never did properly occur to me, but what tribe you say from?"

As the group gathers on the porch Sayre will turn to them ans explain her task to look for the chest that Smoke asked for in the inn. Sayre will go inside and start in the basement 18
OOC: did we find one? I can't recall. I mean other than the ones we've been taking stuff out of...uh-oh.
(he had said that the chest was coming from the Thunder Peaks and it never arrived... if I didn't make it clear before (I probably didn't lol) it is separate and not related to the clock and he thinks the bloodscales probably stole the shipment)
So really quick, I want to know where people are. Thimbol is with the Mayor... Sayre and navek are back at HQ and Mo and Lorarila are outside the mayors office correct?
OOC: Dang it, no it's totes me-goats my fault I reread that post like six times and then was like 'uh-oh' gotta cause more drama by getting stuff back from people per my deal. Honor and it's not technically our stuff... Does Sayre find anything else down there with literally the BEST roll she's rolled in the campaign, uh pretty please?

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
I will post in a bit, also.. If I could get an initiative from thimbol that would be great... I mean of everyone wants to roll they can but I cannot promise anything for everyone...
OOC: Are you saving WE roll perception to HEAR this and if we do then initiative? I mean Sayre's inside HQ I don't think she even has a clue it's going on. *feels SO dumb*
