Blossom nods. "We cannot leave our assignments, but, for finding us this information, we can find something to help from the Portal." She calls Bonnie over, whispers in her ear, and hands her some coin. Bonnie soon returns with a handful of small stopped flasks.
"Blossom has paid for these pick-me-ups," says the head server. "You each had one when you came in. They don't last long out of the cask, but they should give you and your friends a little boost tonight if you need it"
OOC: Jun has 6 of Durnan's special brew -- they can be imbibed at any time (though requires an action to perform if in initiative), and will grant 5 temporary hit points. They will not last beyond the duration of this module.

Once outside Dekket takes a deep breath. He used to enjoy taverns but with all the events that had happened that night at the Yawnign Portal he is grateful for the fresh air of the Waterdeep night. He frowns his back head, were there is still a wound from the previous fight.
”Where are you getting yourself into?” He thought to himself.
Cassie starts at Jun's message, quickly looking about for him. When she spots him, she gives a hesitant nod before turning back to Leilani.
"Looks like we're moving..." she says slowly, almost disappointedly. "I'd guess you probably won't be here when we get back, and I'm starting to get the feeling you could care less, but I for one really WOULD like to reconnect again if the chance arises."
The look she gives Leilani as she stands to go is half hopeful, half pleading.
"If we don't meet again, I still wish you fairer winds at your back."
Cassie then turns and walks away to meet up with Jun and follow the others out.
Leilani's smirk loses some of its energy at Cassie's parting comment. Jun sees over Cassie's shoulder what could be described as a pensive frown on the seated orphan's face before her head droops down over her mug, her hair making reading any further expression impossible.
Outside waiting with Dekket, Arvel walks around the corner of the Yawning Portal to a rain barrel. He quickly splashes some water on his face before scooping up a double handful of water and dousing his hair. He quickly retrieves a comb from his pocket and slicks his normally ruffled hair straight back. The comb disappears into a pocket and the charlatan pulls out a strip of black cloth and ties it around his head, obscuring his pointed ears and one eye. Lastly, he removes his blue cloak pinned by a family crest and turns its drab brown lining to the outside and ties it with the simple cord underneath.
"For what I 'ave planned, I need to look less like myself. I wish I 'ad time for a fake beard. I suppose zis will 'ave to do. I'll also need to baffle Monsieur Trapp wiz my Waterdhavian accent!"
"How's this sound? Do you think I sound like a normal city dweller?"
As Cassie joins him, Jun turns toward the door to meet up with the others, grabbing Rue on his way. As he exits the tavern, he holds out his hand again and Kita once more appears upon it before taking to the air above the group. As everyone meets back up, Jun passes out the flasks provided by Bonnie and Blossom.
"A gift from our patrons. Drink up everyone. A dance with devils needs a little spring in the step."

"I'm still feeling a bit bolstered up by my earlier drinks, so I'll save this one for later," Cassie says as she accepts her flask and stows it away in a pocket.
OOC: DM, you did say we already got temporary hp if we partook of the drinks earlier. Would those still be in effect at this point, if we haven't taken any damage yet?
Ooc: yes, they would be. Temporary hit points cannot be healed back, but they last until the damage exceeds their total. They also don't stack, so, if you have the 5 from before, you cannot drink this to get a total of 10
" We should be about a minute away.. " says Dekket to Arvel after a couple of minutes walking the streets of Waterdeep. " it's just at the corner of that building there " he says pointing to it.
" I think that our better chance is to hide until he arrives, then show ourselves, at least part of us while the others remain hidden, and pose ourselves as the contact he should be meeting to give the information. And then get out. If things got ugly... well... we have him surrounded after all. What do you think? "
In the distance, roughly around the spot you take to be the meeting place, you can see a carriage, along with a few people around it, though you cannot tell if they are with the carriage or part of the scenery. They have taken no notice of your presence, and it would be simple enough to duck back around the corner along the route Trapp would be taking, in order to confront him (or not) out of their view.
Jun sends Kita to scout out the carriage. As soon as he can stop for a few seconds, he shares Kita's eyes for a look himself.
(OOC: Does the carriage look anything like the one that struck the tavern before the show got started?)

With the exception of Kita, you are safely out of sight of the carriage. Assuming he takes this route -- and it is unquestionably the most likely path -- you estimate Trapp should be rounding into this alley any minute now. Should you decide to intercept him here, and there are any last minute preparations to be made, now would be the time.
"Alright. I'm going to hit Valas with some magic that will make him more cooperative. I'll get him to answer questions and hopefully convince him to give us the contents of that tube he has.
But the magic will wear off in about an hour, so I can only keep him from mentioning it until then. He'll also know that magic was used on him. Hence my disguise and different accent. Best the rest of you avoid showing your faces to him.
