Waterdeep: Dragon Heist

A very fine shop sir gnome persuasion 25 as my friend was saying we are here on business but shopping isn't the goal. Although I do have 2 shortbows I'd be willing to part with,  if they were the huge of your other wares they'd certainly be unique and interesting to your customers.   We were attacked tonight looking for a missing man, Floon. We're wondering if you have seen anything recently.  As Gendal talks and when/if the man answers Gendal tries to get a read on him insight 11

SP will walk around looking at the items... looking for anything magical or useful while still listening to the man speak.

Dihek'nir repeats his original request, "Oh it's quite late my friend, but Xoblob's is open all day. I see a lot of things out my window, but I don't think I saw anything like what you described."  He turns to Gendal, "No thank you on the shortbows, not really my style. I'm sorry you are all having such a rough night, perhaps buying something from my shop will cheer you up?"

SP - you don't see anything overly interesting, mostly just strange little purple trinkets.  Purple candles, a large purple feather, purple handkerchiefs, etc.

Thank you for your time. 

SP will grab the purple trinket that is relatively cheap and brig it to the man. "if I were to purchase one of these items.. would it help you to remember anything?"

SP picks up a little egg that been painted with a strange purple scene on it and brings it to the counter to purchase, "Hmm.. it couldn't hurt. That'll be 5 dragons"

SP will smile at the man, "Hmm... you know what... You have an amazing selection of premium pieces.. placing the egg back and picking up something worth a little more (20 gold?)..and placing it on the counter. "Do you remember anything more now?"

SP puts back the egg and picks up a brooch with a purple gem in the center, and brings it up to the counter instead, "That one is 20 dragons, friend. You know it reminds me, I did see some strange activity a little while ago.  A few dark figures carrying an unconscious man.  They disappeared right down into the street, can you believe that?"

SP will pull out 20 gold coins and place them on the table. "So they went into a sewer... through like a man hole? Or are you saying that they literally disappeared... as though through magic?"

"It was hard to see, its mighty dark out there. But I suppose it could have been into the sewers. They were there, and then they sort of sunk in to the ground. Over there around halfway between this shop and that one."  and he points out a location out on the street. 

SP will place his new broach on his cloak. "Thank you, I appreciate you selling me this wonderful piece... I am afraid my friends and I must go now. Thank you for you time"

Goodbye sir gnome.   Gendal will follow SP out and begin looking for tracks and manholes, or anything that they may have dropped. Investigation 14

Gendal you do spot a manhole in the area that the gnome pointed out.

 Dihek'nir tries to help Tamu in his investigation by summoning a few lights around the manhole (cast Dancing Lights once more).

The manhole cover looks safe and untrapped, it is a normal, city-made sewer cover.

Gendal will open it climb down and begin looking for tracks. Investigation 9.  Not fully healed and remembering the warehouse he will also creep away from the lights and try to remain hidden. Stealth 3

It's pitch black down in the sewers, those of you without darkvision will need a light source to navigate your way down here. A putrid stream flows along this sewer tunnel, which leads in two directions. In one direction, you see a tiny symbol drawn on the wall in yellow chalk: a palm-sized circle with ten equidistant spokes radiating out from its circumference.
